History

Established in 2005.

With the many years of combined experience, the owners of Transformations decided to make their own history, and open a full service salon & day spa, that is welcoming, and warming. Friends, and clients are encouraged to stop by & say hello, or pop in for coffee, without having a service.

I was looking for a new stylist since my former stylist moved to South Carolina. I was so sad.
Disclaimer, I teach kindergarten and Jen is a parent of a former student. I figured, I would give Transformations a try, and I’m glad I did. Jen and Erica have a comfortable family-​friendly salon. Yes, they welcome children, and hearing children brings me joy. If you prefer bottled water, classical music, and fancy coffee with a bigger price tag keep looking. Jen did a great job with my hair color, cut, and it is reasonably priced. My 21-​year-​old daughter said, «That’s the best cut and color you’ve had in a while!» Thank you Jen

I am new to the area and was having a difficult time finding a new hair stylist. I have honestly tried 6 others and was unhappy with the results. One day a woman came into my flower shop and I loved her hair style and color, so I asked her where she had it done. She recommended Jen at Transformations. Hooray! I finally found the perfect talented stylist! I have been in now at least 10 times and every time is just perect! I’ve also had facial treatments form Aerika and she is great as well. You must go!

I have been very satisfied with the services at Transformations since 2007. Jen and Erica have worked hard to create a welcoming environment with very reasonable prices. Jen is a talented stylist and colorist and I am always thrilled with the results. I have been quite pleased with using her for special occasion up-do’s and make-​up application, as well.
In the past 2 years I have begun to enjoy the services which Erica offers… facials… waxing… and even sunless tanning! She is a professional and has always made me feel comfortable even when I am in disposable underwear! And her expertise lands me great results with my skin.
If pretentious salons make you feel uncomfortable and you’re a ‘normal’ person, I would suggest checking out Transformations in Merrimac.

All I have say about my facial was that it would have been great if there wasn’t a crying baby in the background. Very unprofessional to have a baby in place you want to relax. Also there was no hand massage with my manicure.

I have been going to Jen at Transformation for cuts and occasional color for 5 years! This is by far the longest I have ever stayed loyal to a stylist and plan on staying with her. Jen also cuts my husband’s hair and I have recommended her for kids haircuts and gotten positive feed back.
Once in this time I didn’t love my cut and went back in, Jen was happy to fix it and I went home happy!
I also see Erica for waxing and indulge in an occasional pedicure. Every service I have had here has been a pleasure. They even manage to squeeze me in, as I am often to unorganized to make appointments when I need them!
