Aaction Movers

I don’t know where to start but, if you are thinking about hiring this moving company. I definitely would not hire them! The only reason I hired them is because of the Estimator Barbara Goolie. She was so helpful and willing to help in any way she could. But… BIG but, I had scheduled my moving date and they didn’t show up. I called and of course Barbara was off and they proceeded to tell me that they forgot to add my move to their schedule that day! I couldn’t believe it! So, I had to take more time off of work after taking a full week off for my move. I was so frustrated! Upon the arrival of the movers they had no equipment like dollies, screw drivers to take the beds apart or moving blankets. We had to use my stuff to move. It should have been a quick and easy move due to the fact I had everything packed up and ready to go! Not only where they prepared but, the had someone new that had never worked for a moving company. The move was supposed to take 4 hours minimum and it took all day! They main guy even said that he was amazed how everything was so organized and ready to move. So with them not having what they needed it took longer and my bill was double. My husband and I kept calling to tell them how displeased we were and they were going to refund some monies back to us. Well, that never happened. The poor Estimator Barbara is the one that called back and apologized. I think the owner should have called not sweet Barbara. There was nothing she could do, she is just an employee. DO NOT USE THESE MOVERS… pick someone else!

My name is Jonathan. I recently had a local move done by this company! I spoke with a very nice and helpful lady named Barbara. She made everything very simple! They sent a man named Jason Mash to my house in Chandler and he gave me an estimated time and price on my move! I was worried that it might go over on time. But he was very accurate and my price stayed the same!!! They let me have as many used boxes for my move which saved me some money. The coordinator Ryanne was really nice and helpful. They called me a day before to let me know what time the crew was going to show up. I would defiantly recommend this company and I will use them again in the future!

oh my were do i begin. maybe at the beginning. moved from az to fl back in october. was told from my sales rep jason «rest assured they were the best» yeah right. paid for them to come to my house and pack and was told i would have a two man team. well the guy yes one guy shows up 3 hours late, a foreigner that barely spoke english in his dumpy truck. yeah that’s professional. it took him of course all day. so the next day the two that they send were a lot better. got my stuff loaded on a truck in a good time frame that i could at least drive from san tan valley to el paso, tx. i was told that my stuff would arrive in a short time frame 5 – 6 days. nope got a call from their main office that my stuff would take 12 days. of course i coudn’t get a hold of the rep that sold me on how great united was and how much better they were than everyone else. so this guy from nevada brian yes nevada tells me he’s sorry. sorry doesn’t cut it. i had to sleep on a air mattress for 2 weeks with a beenie chair in my living room till they got here. oh the best is yet to come. they damaged a lot of my things which they wouldn’t own up too. my brand new queen size bed frame with wood slates were not put together right and squeaked they send some guys out to take the bed apart and made it worse. so i called them again. they sent out two more twits and they said that they could fix it. about 3 weeks go by and i get a denied request for them to fix it. really so with all this said my suggestion is. when i moved from boston to az in 2013 i used mayflower which now they are one united and mayflower. mayflower stands by everything and they fixed everything or paid me for any damage that they might of caused. what a difference. so take my review and do your homework i moved 2 more times in az and i must say mayflower is the way to go. if your going to spend thousands of dollars to moved.
because it’s true you get what you pay for.

Disappointing and frustrating working with Aaction Movers. (There’s an UPDATE at the bottom of this review). The estimator rep, Dan Schooley was very nice for the first visit, making a good impression and instilling enough confidence for me to choose them over some other companies.
Beyond that, things didn’t go very well. For one thing, Dan provided a 10-​day window for delivery of our items and stated that it seldom goes the full time for delivery. That never happened. The delivery was 4 days past that estimate, making us wait almost a full month for our stuff to arrive at our new place.
When the stuff did arrive, I had to file a claim for damaged goods. So that was adding insult to injury, so to speak. I believe it was the parent company (United Corporate) that made good on the claim for those items.
While I couldn’t prove it since I waived the option of going through the entire list of items (the «bingo sheet») upon delivery, two boxes are unaccounted for.
Another frustration was an entire lack of communication provided during transit. I had to call Aaction to ask where our goods might be along the way. The representative could not provide that information and stated she would call me back the following Monday (I called on a Friday). That never happened. I followed up again on that Tuesday and there was still no information available.
While both Mr. Schooley and another rep finally acknowledged that I indeed had a claim for the timeline not being met (out of compliance with the agreement) and that I was promised this would be addressed, this never happened. (I was promised a claim form so I could submit my claim… that never happened).
Mr. Schooley also felt this lateness was very inconvenient and said he would speak to the CEO of United, «Eric»; I never heard what this outcome was.
To date, nothing has happened on the claim for the lateness of delivery (by the way, the agreement stated that the customer is entitled to $ 100 per day for every day the delivery is late. Mr Schooley felt this was not enough given the inconvenience of missing important items needed; even though we brought some things we would need right away).
Because it has been two months since the delivery, I now plan to write to the state Attorney General’s Office, Consumer Affairs Division to file a formal complaint.
I do not recommend Action Movers for your move.
UPDATE: The CEO called me and actually worked out the claim with the Corporate office and the last part of my claim has now been paid. So Aaction did make up a little bit for the hassle involved. So, I am moving up my rating to 2 stars!

AAction Movers provided poor customer service and was indifferent when they broke the contract. After doing so they held my items hostage and demanded payment before our agreement.
Avoid this moving company at all costs!!! They will tell you want to hear but will not honor your contractual agreement.
During my move I often asked the status of my items and was told that they didn’t know for multiple days.
Moving manager was indifferent to my situation and demanded payment prior to delivery, something that was in violation of our contract.
Do not use AAction Movers!!!

After writing my previous review, I was contacted by the manager of Aaction Movers. He asked if they could have another chance, asking if he could personally come to our home to do an inventory and give us a quote. Against my better judgment, I agreed. I told him to be at our house Sunday at 4 pm.
Sunday came and went, no call, no show. Monday morning, I got a voicemail from him before 8 am. Out of sheer curiosity as to what the story could be this time, I called them back. He said that he came to our town on Sunday, but he had been given the wrong customer address. He had no back up way to retrieve my phone number or address, so he was unable to come by.
Not to mention that when he contacted me, he stated that they take social media seriously, and offered me a $ 100 gift card if I would remove my negative review on Unilocal.I declined. I don’t need bribes.
NO MORE CHANCES! Do not do business with Aaction Movers.

Shopping around and need a mover to give you an estimate? Call this company! The rep Dan Schooley was fast, efficient, professional, and pleasant. I trusted his information. This rep was seasoned — he gave me invaluable tips to utilize on our move, and some check lists that helped me stay on a timely track. This company is able to cover a complex large move, or one on a smaller scale. You should add this company to your list of prospective movers, because they can also handle the tiny details that everyone forgets about until the last minute. Organization and presentation get an A+ from me. Mr. Schooley is an exceptional representative for a company that has a real handle on the needs of those that need to move.

I was told that if my move were to be out of the «Guarantee window» i would be reimbursed $ 100 per day. This was a blatant lie due to the fact that my shipment weight did not meet the requirement, a fact my moving coordinator knew of. I asked about this again when my shipment was going to be late and the aaction rep confirmed that i would be getting this reimbursement. After the fact they gave me the run around and said only United corporate can do this. Corporate said they couldn’t because my shipment was below the weight. So much for a «Guarantee.»
