After graduating from a local Mesa, AZ high school, Robert served in the US Military from 1985 to 1989. He then used the GI Bill to help obtain an Electrical Engineering degree from ASU (you don’t need to be an electrical engineer to be a locksmith, but it certainly helps ;’).

After many years working as an engineer and Product Manager is the semiconductor software industry, Robert ventured into new territory with the purchase of ACME Locksmith in 2007. He’s loved every minute of it. «When you can help someone in stress feel better about their day, there’s not greater accomplishment.»

His family now lives in Queen Creek and he has two wonderful children.

I called several self-​advertised «locksmiths» before calling Acme. Most businesses that advertise as a locksmith simply do lockouts for cars. I came to Acme because I needed the real deal. I have a truck box that I needed keys to be able to secure my tools, but I did not have a key to duplicate. My particular box has a more complex locking mechanism and further complicated the task.
I brought my truck box to Acme and they HAND-​FILED me 2 perfectly working keys! I was impressed, and that does not happen often. Not only were they extremely expert in there field, they also were very focused on customer service. My keys were both done within 30 minutes. While I waited I went and got Yoko Fast Food and watched their infomercials in the store and actually learned a lot.
I will be telling everyone I know about Acme and will be calling them for all of my future needs.

ACME provided excellent customer service! Very accommodating. Brian was efficient and knew what he was doing, took care of my issue in like two minutes! They came to the rescue when those thieves at Diamondback made me wait two hours and were very unprofessional.

Acme was the locksmith I got when I ordered rekey service through Amazon Services. They were responsive to my questions before I had my service. I had 7 locks rekeyed, mailbox lock replaced and sliding glass door double bolt lock installed. Price was better than others based on my research. Ryan did my locks. He was nice and professional. He gave me suggestion for a garage door opener even though I wasn’t getting a reprogram service from him.
I got my service on a Saturday. He was on time. The only negative I can say is he got interrupted multiple times for calls from other customers inquiring for service. I think that the on-​site tech gets all the calls during weekends. He did apologize for them, and still finished the job on time.
Will definitely recommend!

There was no shipping delay, the parcel arrived on time. It was quoted to me incorrectly. Please add deciphering a UPS tracking number to your advanced training. Its easy to see you own confusion.
1÷20÷2016 This review is for the Phoenix and Scottsdale locations. I did not visit the Mesa store but did speak to Robert the owner of all 3 stores. 1219 E Glendale Ave, 7118 E Sahuaro Dr, STE A, Scottsdale.
Very unhappy with the service provided for these reasons,
1. Was told the keys would be ready last Friday and after wasting an hour at the store it was found the delivery date was next Thursday. A big waste of my time.
2. Was quoted a price of $ 18 per key for 2 keys = $ 36. When I went to pay I was charged an additional 8.50 for shipping, although it was never mentioned there would be a shipping charge.
3. I paid the extra shipping charge but the shipping paper work could not be found to show me the additional charge. Robert was quick to say we will take the keys back.
4. I paid the 47.40 with 3 twentys ($ 60) and was given $ 2.60, they tried to short me $ 10 until I brought it to his attention.
5. he was never able to find and print me a receipt for payment??? I told him to send it to me in the mail. He said we do not have your address and I said good.
What a clown act this group is. I will never do business with them again.

Had a GREAT experience today with ACME locksmith. Called to have someone come and assist in replacing my back door lock that broke. Within 45 minutes Ryan arrived and replaced my dead bolt lock and cleaned up my door handle to make it work more efficient. Also re-​keyed the whole house so there was only one key (as I wanted) for the entire house. Replaced several broken locks and door handles too.
Ryan was professional, fast, and very customer focused. He explained what he was doing, ensured that it was working correctly and re-​checked prior to departing.
I would recommend ACME to anyone needing locksmith assistance. I have used ACME and have had a very positive experience.
The customer service provided was what made the difference. Friendly, fast and good price.

One word — Fantastic! I needed to replace a lost mailbox key and called Acme’s office yesterday (12÷28÷15) afternoon. They were ready, willing and able to respond yesterday. WOW! I had to postpone until today, was given a time frame between 10AM and 1PM. We were stunned when the tech (we didn’t get his name) showed up and was done by 9:45AM.WOW! (again).I’ve become so jaded and used to poor customer service these days, I was stunned to find a company that prides themselves on providing 5 star quality service. I had to evict tenants from my rental home by way of a constable. I had to time the eviction with a locksmith. Bobby with Acme was awesome! He was parked near my home a few minutes early. He called me to let me know that he was nearby. He re-​keyed 9 locks in a very brief time and even fixed a couple of door latches that weren’t working just right! I would recommend Acme and Bobby as they do great work at a fair price and Bobby even made repairs that I didn’t know were needed!

I was very pleased with the excellent job Brian the locksmith that was sent 2 help us. I called Acme & spoke with Violet. She was awesome as well. She quoted a standard price & a worst case scenario price… Brian came out & had a lil difficulty with programming the copied car key, but instead of programming he came up with a simple solution for our particular dilemma. Brian was extremely professional & I thank Acme for their services. I would recommend Acne for the quality of services & for the price. It was very affordable. Awesome job!

Sometimes locksmiths can be kind of sketchy, not this one. Very professional business. They had every kind of key and lock option and accessory you could want. I am thinking about going back and purchasing a safe there.
My son has a Scion TC and the key broke, they were able to give us a low cost option to the dealer’s $ 400 key replacement. They were also able to make a spare key for my Jeep that NO ONE else in the valley was able to make.
I know where I will go from now on for any key/​lock needs.

We wanted to rekey the locks on the house we recently purchased, and it was very easy to set up the appointment over the phone, and then the lovely and talented Erv was just here to hook me up with some new locks and keys. He called ahead, arrived early, and finished in about an hour. Now I can hit happy hour a little early today, and don’t have to wonder or worry about who else has a key for this house. With 3 big dogs and my ability to shoot like Daryl Dixon, no one should be messing around here anyway. Thanks Acme!

This business was very professional and knowledgeable about rekeying a safe that I had lost the key too. I thought for sure I was in for big cost and a headache dealing with it. But after calling and after going into their business all fears went away. The staff were nice, respectful and were good to work with. It’s nice as a woman to not be intimidated when going into a locksmith. Some are scary but not this place!
Not to mention very affordable and offer after hours help.

Yesterday I called Acme to come out to re-​key my home. Even though they were quite busy the gentleman who answered the phone said he would work me in. An hour in a half later I got a call from Ryan, my tech. He said I’ll be there in about 20 minutes. Sure enough Ryan showed up on time and did a fantastic job. He was polite and professional. I would recommend this company highly. Their pricing is fair and they get the job done!

I initially called the first place that came up on my Google search. Well, that was a mistake! (I’ll rant about them in another review). Came back to see Acme had so many good reviews and I am glad I called them! They were very professional on the phone.
I had locked myself out of my house, and their technician, Matt, was given my call right after being released from Urgent Care! He got stitches was right back to work like a champ! On top of that, he called ahead to let me know he was on the way, and was super friendly. He even beat me back to my house (I was with a friend so that I was not stuck out on my curb).
I paid exactly what I was quoted, and it was much less than what I thought I would have to pay for my silly mistake.
