All About Blinds and Shutters

We were very pleased with the service we received and the quality of the blinds and shutters. Although circumstance forced us to impose an unreasonably tight schedule (installation within a week and a half after we first contacted him), he found a way to meet our requirements – at a very competitive price. Although I doubt that he would normally be able to turn a job around that quickly, our experience did show his willingness to go the extra mile. We can heartily recommend his services.

I got quotes from three different companies. One was outrageous. Larry and the other company was close. I decided to go with Larry because he was able to match the molding on the shutters to the molding in the house which wasn’t an option at the other companies.
He was great. He showed up on time for the quote. The shutters were delivered early and the crew was on time for the install appointment. All phone calls were returned promptly.
If you are on the fence about who to choose, definitely go with Larry. You will not regret it.

We first got a quote from a competitor and almost signed a contract with them. We then called Larry and he came in about $ 1000 under the other bid. I was concerned that this would mean less quality or bad service — but we took a chance. I am glad we did. The shutters are fabulous. He even delivered a couple of weeks earlier than we expected. He was always quick to follow up to any of my questions, his installers were quick and efficient and they took care of a small issue with the shutters overnight and had them in the very next day. The wait time was very reasonable for the products I ordered (faux wood blinds and wood shutters) and they both look awesome in my new home. I got a quote from another Shutter company and I seemed high so I wanted to get another quote. I called Larry at All About Blinds and Shutters to ask for a quote. He arrived in about an hour from my call, gave me a much more reasonable price, took the order and then delivered the shutters in less time than promised. They look great and we’re just as agreed. I am very pleased with the friendly and prompt service and will use them again when I need blinds or shutters.

My contractor referred me to Larry as he had done blinds on one of his other client’s homes. Larry was able to come give me a quote same day that I spoke with him. He did his measurements and gave me a quote on the spot which was very reasonable. I accepted, and he told me it usually takes about 1 – 2 weeks for the blinds to be ready for install. He called me in less than a week, everything was ready and he came and installed them a couple hours later! They look great and I couldn’t ask for an easier, smoother transaction. Thanks, Larry!

My best friend ordered her blinds from All About Blinds and was very satisfied with the experience AND with the final product (her house now looks wonderful!). It did take about 8 weeks or a bit more to get her delivered. Because she was so happy with her blinds, I called Larry when I was ready for an estimate. He came out very promptly to provide a very reasonable quote (shutters are not inexpensive!). I ordered the shutters that day. Since my friend’s shutters were ordered, All About Blinds apparently has a new supplier and I was quoted 4 weeks between order and install. The very next day after I ordered, I realized Larry had not asked and I had not remembered to request a split about ²⁄₃ up in each shutter (top opens separately from the bottom). I also wanted to change what I ordered for the patio door. Larry made the requested changes to the order without any problem. 4 weeks later I called to see where we were at as I hadn’t heard. The next day, when I still had not heard, I called again and talked to Larry. He mentioned I’d beaten him to the call and the shutters could be installed yet that week. That worked out perfectly. Two men came to install the shutters. The only issue they had was they didn’t have a tall enough ladder (they’d been warned to bring a ladder but not that I had 18 ft ceilings). They also had a difficult time figuring out how to install the shutters that were on the stairwell. I didn’t watch how they did it, but do it, they did. They were very professional. Overall, I am VERY satisfied with this experience and would definitely recommend All About Blinds!

The owner of this company, Larry, advertises lifetime warranty for his shutters and does not honor it. The wood panels on one of our large shutters warped, and even after coming to our house to see the problem he has not replaced the shutter or refunded our money so that we can get it replaced. He is now stating he can’t replace it because he isn’t working with the manufacturer anymore and is ordering all of his shutters from China. So we are stuck with a $ 1200.00 shutter that is warped. Would not recommend this company to anyone.

I called Larry after a different blinds company failed to show for a consultation. The house we recently moved into did not have any blinds so I needed something asap. Larry came out the next day and within a week we had blinds!!! They look great and are perfectly sized. The price was competitive as well.

We priced around everyone and nobody compared to these guys on pricing and professionalism. Larry came out the next day to measure and give us quote. He blew Home Depot, lowes and the home and garden vendors away on prices and definitely on services. I was shopping for faux wood shutters to save money and Larry got me real wood for the same prices.
Did I mention these shutters and blinds are custom fit to your windows. I looked at the DIY options online but the are not a perfect fit and the hardware is typically different than the color of your window treatment. Which means we have to paint to satisfy the spouses…
I have already referred them to my friends and I will continue doing the same. We will use Larry again on the rest of the windows in the spring or fall.
