Lakeview at Superstition Springs Apartments

Please walk away it will cost you an arm and a leg to live here literally ! You think your rent is only $ 1,124.00 for a three bedroom my ass add about $ 350.00 to that because they charge you for water, sewer, gas, trash and rentals insurance. I have a three bedroom and my rent is actually $ 1,300.00 with all the other bills. Here is the breakdown rent 1,124.00 water sewer and trash any where between $ 60 and $ 150 depends on how much you use, rental insurance $ 25, gas $ 70. this place is a ripe off you can get a five bedroom house with a back yard for less. Plus there are four types of ants all over the place, plus ticks they don’t spray pesticides. So back to water you cant have a garden or do laundry with out your water bill going up, especially if you have a garden and kids expect your bill to be $ 200 in water. I have my mom wash my clothes just to save money at this place. Plus the kitchen was created by a moron no pantry space, or a drawer that will fit your silverware. Please go else where not Luxury at all !

Please take the time to do your due diligence in researching this «place». Also use good judgement since no matter what anyone posts here the management replies with a canned «we are sorry for your experience etc…». For those of us that live here we can tell you that they don’t care or they would actually do something.
First of all it should be criminal to label this place as a luxury apartment. We have been here 6 months and the landscaping on the back half of the property has never even been close to acceptable. Dead grass, dirt spots dead bushes etc. And please don’t say its becuase of winter, becuase it was exactly the same in the summer and fall.
We were sold this place on being a gated secured complex, yet the gates are routinely broken. This was mentioned in another post and their reply was basically «the gate was only broken for a short time… I guess to them being broken for 10 out of 12 weeks is a short time. Plus we now have vagrants picking through the dumpsters, kinda a nice touch for «luxury» apartments.
We have had credit cards stolen out of our mail. box as well as other mail. We have spoken with the mailman who let us know they have told the complex and they don’t care. I also contacted the complex to let them know that the mailboxes are broken (you can actually just pull open the front and access the individual boxes) and they said they would get maintence on that… that was three months ago. Their reply on my mail getting stolen was that I could just go get a post office box somewhere if I was concerned.
We were also sold on the benefits of the business office, gym and pool area. I have to admit that the gym has always been nice and clean. The business office though is closed various hours everyday, is almost never opened on time and closed every day around 4 – 6 for «lunch». In the business office the printer in there also never works for more then 2 – 3 pages. As for the pool, the jacuzzi has never worked and now the other jacuzzi is Luke warn. Supposed to have the pools heated but I gave up so long ago I haven’t even checked that.
In regards to the apartment itself. It is far from luxury and old and lots of items that break, don’t work or severely outdated. Air conditioning went out for 4 days in the middle of the summer and we were just told to turn the fans on and open the windows. Heat has never worked properly even thought they came to «fix it», fireplace has never worked. The appliances are very old and not what I would considered up to par for a luxury apartment. And cabinets are very old and run down. The staff is so difficult to work with and the way we are treated its not even worth trying to get it fixed since its easier to just deal with the stuff. When you tell someone in the office about it you either get told they can’t help you ask someone else or get told multiple stories by different people.
Also don’t drink the water, it literally tastes like the ponds smell.
My fiancé and I both had our job assignments ended this month and our final pay had been delayed by a week which means we are going to be 2 days after the grace period for rent. When contacting them we were told there wasn’t anything they would do we would just have to pay $ 150 in Late fees. This one, while they are legally in their rights to do that, you would think they would try to work with renters that contact them ahead of time and try to work something out. I understand late fees but $ 150 for 2 days??? Once again I am. not saying they are legally wrong about this, just a bad decision on their parts.
We have seen and heard multiple stories of people being charged outrageous fees when they move out even though their apartment has normal wear and tear and they did a through cleaning so that is our next worry to deal with when we leave. We want so badly to just be done with this place that we are considering various ways of leaving here before the lease is up.
Please please please do your research. This place is having a mass exodus of renters, they are doing superficial upgrades and charging ridiculous rates for new renters. Don’t trust them when they say… oh we are under new management and that’s being taken care of, becuase in 6+ months none of it has been taken care of. Now cue the canned response from the apartment complex. They are going to say something along the lines of «contact us so we can get your concerns taken care of». My concerns are that I want to be out of this place as soon as possible and I want to inform as many people as possible of what this property is really like.

Third time this week I have been locked out because gate is always broken. Every time I go into the club house for assistance so I can get to my apartment the person working doesn’t seem concerned. Today I got «well I’m going to lunch but someone else can help you» and the other day they were laughing about it. I love here, have a schedule to maintain, and I’m tired of being held up because things are broken. More than once I’ve had workers park their truck behind my car, blocking me in and making me late for work. Dining room light is still hanging exposed. This would be a great place to live if management was considerate of the fact that people actually LIVE here. Why does my rent continue to go up?

This place has gotten worse since last time I posted… I transfer to a 3 bedroom didn’t work out for personal reasons so the transfered back to a 1 bedroom and I get told fees will get waived when last minute they tell me I owe $ 500 in fees… and was told it was going to look the same as my first 1 bedroom, I walk in to look at it 2 days before move in (that’s when they let me see it) and it looked like the projects! (This apartment is about $ 90 more than my 1^st one) I finally find one after asking for something else and it’s much better the price is super high but it’ll do. Well only been here 1 MONTH and I’m breaking my lease because my neighbor is old and doesn’t like me breathing after 7pm. She calls and complains about me calling security and clearly it’s not us making noise and they don’t seem to care they just keep calling us complaining.. I’ve called the office because it’s getting out of hand but they only seemto only care what she has to say. You would think if i was so disruptive that I would have heard about it prior to this considering it is my third transfer… js. Never ever would I recommend this place to anyone.

We were asked to take down foil on window, I called and complained that there are 8 other apartments in just our a Area, that have, either boxes or Mylar on their windows. there seems to be a lot of discrimination going on here. I’ll be glad to take down foil down when everyone else takes there boxes or Mylar down. Also, we had to pay a 400.00 fee for our dog, there are at least ten dogs that we know about in our area that are prohibited breeds, we have asked owners of these dogs, if they paid the four hundred dollars, they told us they have not. I would just like to be treated fairly, and not be discrimated against, please… thank you

So over this place! Run far away!!! We moved in over two and half months ago. Our list of items that were unacceptable upon move in was huge. The counter tops were extremely stained, the cover of the fuse box was missing, the dishwasher was installed incorrectly, the light in the dining room did not work, the toilets nearly over flow every time you flush and never fully clear toilet paper. since I couldn’t wash dishes in the crooked dishwasher I washed them by hand our first night and when I let the water out of the sink, it all went into the bottom cabinet because the genius and obviously experienced handy man never fully connected the pipes. Also, all cabinets in this place are old and extremely water damaged, the door knobs don’t match and the linoleum was installed by monkey. After a month of serious complaining, they finally re surfaced the counters, we were told our apartment looked this way upon move in because we are paying the price of a unremodeled unit. So if you are also looking to pay nearly 900.00 a month for a two bedroom, you should expect the same I guess. I was told they were special ordering new toilets and would be out to install them when they arrived. That was a month ago, still same water wasting toilets. They put a great scratched up door on the fuse box and Reinstalled the dishwasher correctly. They fixed the light in the dining room, I guess another tenant had previously installed the light and no one ever bothered to make sure it actually works. Bugs are an issue, specifically spiders and ants. From what ive noticed, they landscape maybe once every two months, they finally cut our bushes since we moved in over two and half months ago, but again this is an assumption. I hate this place, I really really do. They just dont take pride into their community and it shows. To get anything done you have to write an email to the district or property management company which is Fairfield. I’ve never received a single apology or discount on rent for any of this inconvenience. They want me to pay out of my own pocket to get the bug people out earlier then Friday for an ant issue. I’m so so so disappointed in this place. It looks ok, even nice from the outside, but its just all sorts of bad.
12÷7÷15 now, I realize it is 75 degrees out and most people don’t use their ac but my family does. We like to stay around 72 degrees. Today, for the fourth time in about two months, our coil is yet again frozen. The FOURTH time. I work in the ac industry, so after speaking with one of my technicians after the second time this happened he told me there has to be a leak in the system and they need to do a leak search. It’s actually illegal to keep adding freon to an ac unit. If it keeps loosing a charge, there is a leak releasing gases into our wonderful atmosphere. These are harmful gases. I know they keep adding freon because the emails I get upon «completion» of repairs. I even called when i received the most recent email and told them they need to do leak search and that this is dangerous to not only our environment but to my children, and alas, my unit is frozen again. Obviously no leak search was performed and for the last couple weeks we have all had the pleasure of breathing in r22 gases. Thanks Lakeview. This is highly irritating as someone who has had nothing but issues here. We turned in rent one day late because I have been sick and my husband didn’t get off work in time before their office closed and we refuse to pay the extra fee to pay online and they wanted to charge us 75.00 extra to live in this shit hole. The office manager waived it «this one time» still highly irritating that after everything we have been through here and still continue to go through that you guys want to charge us a late fee. I would like to charge you for my time and frustration. My lease is up in a little over 60 days, can’t fricken wait!

When I first moved in the lakeview I was very excited. It was a location where I could be near my job near close bars, and all the grocery stores. I had everything I needed to be next to. But after living here I finally realized how horrible this apartment complex is. I definitely don’t get the quantity the quality that I want for the amount of pain. My apartment that I lived in for 3 years is falling apart. Since I moved in we had series of problems with water leakage through our room ceiling. We had water bubbles in our ceiling since we first moved in and we had water leaking through our ceiling fan. Also the ground we live on are filthy there is dog feces all over the complex. And cigarette btts every where. I do not recommend this apartment complex to anybody. The office and maintenance staff are horrible. The grounds are disgusting. And the price you pay to live here is not worth it.

My house is a wreck. It’s has been week 3 of construction and I came home to half my living being inaccessible. I am livid at this point and was not contacted.

The leaky ceiling has never been repaired and the dish washer is broken again! This place is absolutely horrible! If it gets any worse l am going to try to take it to the news. I don’t understand how one place can be this incredibly horrible. If you lease here you will be angry and disappointed that you did not heed all the warnings fr all the «real» reviews of this place. The few reviews (the ones without profile pics) the fake ones, beaming about this place and the staff are pure, unadulterated B.S. You would have to be a fool to believe those posts… they should get an award for THE WORST APARTMENT COMPLEX IN ARIZONA. That should accompany another award for MOST USELESS, IRRESPONSIBLE, DISPICABLE, RIDICULOUS, FLAT OUT DUMBASS MANAGEMENT STAFF!!!
It’s incredible how many obviously fake posts, without any profile pics, rating this dump 4 or 5 stars while drooling over the staff by name were put up between 1÷15÷15− 1/17/15…so obviously fake. That should tell you much about the type of staff you are dealing with at this place. They had to write the posts themselves or their family and friends… read the posts and then read all the real ones. It will be very obvious how bogus the faceless posts are. Glad they all seem to be in the not recommended section.

Let me paint a picture for you for how Lakeview at Superstition Springs is the WORSE apartment complex ever.
I discovered yesterday after coming home from work (around 5pm) that Lakeview had some scheduled construction of some kind near my girlfriend’s apartment in the afternoon when no one was home and that something had fell /​swung from a large machine into her sliding glass door. After asking my girlfriend about what happened, she upsettingly told me that the door had broken for 4 HOURS and that glass was everywhere, her dogs were amazingly alive and not lost (they sleep near the door) and that Lakeview had done NOTHING to let them know of what happened.
Apparently after she asked Lakeview about it, they said they’d try to get somebody out (by 7pm) to repair it but she didn’t have any hopes that it’d happen. So she had to cancel work because she couldn’t leave her apartment with the huge gaping entrance Lakeview had left. Around 9pm I was finally able to stop by to her apartment and after walking into it, I was appalled by the result and that Lakeview HAD NOT done anything to clean up the damage they had done. (Also let’s not forget that still nobody had shown up to repair it yet.)
There was glass EVERYWHERE and I was floored to hear that because Lakeview didn’t put any effort to clean it up, my girlfriend’s 67 year old father had to clean it all up by himself. So to hear that Lakeview made my girlfriend’s elderly father clean up their mess, that they could’ve killed her dogs, that they didn’t notify anyone of their screw up, and that my girlfriend and father had to be «OK» with sleeping there (without ANY COMPENSATION) made me FURIOUS.
Not to mention they’re hiding away from their office currently. «Please pardon our dust, we are updating our look for you». HAHAHA, yeah, thanks for the update. Here you’ll see these photos of the damage that I took at 10PM last night. This is not the end that Lakeview has heard from us and they can be sure that they’re in for a treat unless we’re EXTREMELY compensated. Will update in the morning.
**UPDATE**
It’s 7am on February 10^th, aka the day after the accident. Still no repairs. I can’t WAIT to talk to Lakeview about all this. Taking picture of the door in the morning so you all can see Lakeview’s beautiful mess in the daylight.
**SECOND UPDATE**
It’s now 9am. They apparently measured the door while I was out but now have to go back because they ordered THE WRONG DOOR? How bad can you screw this up Lakeview?! I don’t know whether to laugh or to call my lawyers. Can’t wait to see what happens next.

Absolutely the worst place I have ever lived! This place is a joke. I wish there was a way to rate this place –5 stars. Sub par maintenance, if you can really call it maintenance. My dryer stopped working and one of the knobs came off, their idea of fixing it, duct tape. During the monsoon rains, water literally poured through the patio doors due to cracks, I called for weeks and nothing was done. Carpet soaked and pretty sure molded wood and drywall around the patio door. Finally, «maintenance,» and I use that term loosely, comes to fix the issue. They put some sort of putty on the cracks, guess what genius, when it rains again (which it did) water is still going to come in the apartment. I was told that the roof was going to be repaired and my building was first on the list. I have emailed video and pictures — still not fixed. I give my written notice 58 days in advance and was told I need to give 60 days. Per Ashley, I will have to pay a full months rent for the month that I won’t even be in the apartment. Mind you, my lease expires on 2÷20÷15, I let them know verbally in early December that I would not be renewing my lease and I will be out of the apartment by 2÷20÷15. I’ve contacted their management company corporate office, so let’s hope they will actually care. Although I highly doubt it! I have also filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and contacted local news outlets in regards to the conditions and lack of resolution provided by the staff/​management.

Worst apartment complex ever. Ive had nothing but problems from day 1… when i moved in none of the lights worked, ac didnt work, my washer, dryer, stove and microwave all had to be replaced because they did not work. Maintenance never comes when you call. I had a hole in my bedroom ceiling for 2 weeks because of roof leaks. I am still waiting for them to fix my front door, ice maker, and the replacement dryer they brought me which also does not work (ive now been here 8 months and its still not fixed).
After new owners took over they assured me things would be better. .they went from bad to worse. The front office people are incredibly rude. I have had the misfortune of speaking with Robin multiple times, she is the most disrespectful unpleasant woman ever. On the multiple occasions i have asked to speak with a manager, they are conveniently NEVER there nor do they return calls.
They changed their late fee policy by slipping a note under my door and I ended up getting $ 300 in late fees that they refuse to budge on. .thats ¹⁄₃ of my rent! As if I wasn’t upset about it already they had the nerve to be rude to me on top of it.
This place is horribly kept and the staff is horrendous. They charge you like crazy for anything they can think of. I highly recommend going elsewhere to live.

This is the worst apartments ever. Customer service is horrible. The Engineering staff is horrible. I moved in June 15^th 2014 and I got plumbing issues. I window in my bedroom was licking. My AC was not working right for nearly the whole summer and their was a block of ice that built up in the AC vet. The manager only gave me a credit for 15 dollars for 3 days when I was sleeping in 100 apartment for 5 days. She said is I stayed in a hotel she would have gave me credit. The apartment is so poorly manage that it took them 4 days to fix it after I reported the issue. Now the new problem is plumbing. All my sinks are not draining they would not fix it and told me that they were too busy to do it. I am seriously fed up.

Just went I thought we were done with this place. I received my notice that my lease was coming up soon, I called to tell them we were moving out and asked what my next step was with them. The lady on the phone told me to give them a 30 day notice. Okay? Well 46 days before we had to be out, we found a place to move. I went to the office to start filling out the paper work and give my notice to vacate. I talked to Robin. (Rudest lady you’ll ever meet) she told me I needed a 60 day notice. I told her what the lady told me on the phone. She didn’t care. Said she’d have the manager call me. No manager called. I called and called several times. I talked to casey, the assistant manager I believe. She said it was fine, they would wave that and our lease would end on the 16 and we had nothing to worry about. My fiancé and I came in and talked to casey face to face, she said everything was good to go. We only owed rent for the first half of the month. We owed 391 dollars to be exact. Turned in our keys, called a week later to see when we should be expecting our deposit back.. Robin said oh no you owe 400 some dollars for the carpets, walls, and not giving a 60 day notice. We took your 250 deposit and you still owe us 400. I get the carpets needed to be cleaned. No problem. Never hung anything on the walls. The only issues with the walls were from the flooding that happened in my previous post. And the 60 day notice? Pretty sure they try to screw everyone over at this place. It’s a joke. I would never ever ever in a million years go through these people. Do not recommend this apartment complex to anyone!!!

Oh Lakeview apartments. Where do I even start?
You can never get a hold of the staff. They answer about 1 out of 4 calls. If you leave a message, they will call you back in about two days. If you email them with a complaint or maintenance issue, they won’t email or even call you back. They seem to have an excuse for everything.
Not all of the apartments have a lake view. I paid extra to have a «grassy view» (I have no view of a lake what so ever) because my other option was a dumpster view. My neighbor has been living here for 2 years and kept requesting to move to an apartment with a lake view. The staff said they didn’t have any available (for two years they have been saying that). She finally threatened to move across the street to the other apartments (because they have a lake view) and the staff magically had an available lake view apartment.
My air conditioner broke twice in 3 days. When we called the second time, they said «Yeah, after we fix it the first time, it usually breaks again very quickly.» What the hell is that?! My dryer knob broke off and when they came to fix it, they put it upside down (it works, but it’s not on correctly).
I pay pet rent every month and there is a «doggy station» with poop bags near my building and they have yet to refill it after I have asked them 3 times to do it… it has been 2 weeks since the station became empty. But if the doggy station near the office is empty, believe me that they replace the bags the next day. When I first moved in, the station was empty for months until I finally tracked a staff member down near the station and he kindly filled it. So it has been filled once in four months.
After a storm, we got two bubbles in our wall and it took them weeks to even come look at it, and they did nothing after that. Weeks later, again, they finally came and fixed the wall. But I have yet to see them fix the roof to make sure we don’t get a leak again. When I finally went in to complain about the leak not being even looked it, the staff said the Property Manager would call me the next day. Did they call? No. I never received a call from the Property Manager.
Don’t get me wrong, my renovated apartment is nice, but I pay way too much for it. Isn’t the point of living in an apartment is to not have to worry about anything, that the staff will take care of your needs? It seems like they really only worry about whatever is close to their office and around the lake. Because the area around the lake is beautiful, but they seem to neglect the other areas.
I would much rather live in a crappy apartment as long as the staff is courteous and helpful. Which Lakeview is neither.
I can’t wait until my lease is up. They don’t even deserve one star.
