The Nesting Place Story

After spending many years researching & teaching in the early childhood classroom, Simone Rogers, developed a keen sense of what children really need to grow and develop. Nesting Place was created out of a desire to give children a learning experience that was truly well-rounded.

Simone is very passionate about giving children an early start toward their love of learning and health. As part of this philosophy, she has incorporated Reggio Emilia-inspired learning experiences and organic foods into the curriculum.

Welcome parents. My name is Simone and I am very excited to have the opportunity to work with your children. In order for you to understand me better as a teacher & owner of Nesting Place, I thought it would be helpful to explain my teaching philosophy and the inspiration behind the curriculum. My teaching philosophy has been influenced by my experiences as a teacher, my college studies, and my study trip to Reggio Emilia, Italy, where I learned about the Reggio Philosophy.

I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Northern Arizona University in 2007. I have taught preschool in a variety of settings for the last 10+ years. I have an FBI Fingerprint Clearance Card and CPR/First Aid Certified along with a Food Handlers Card.
