Stapley Action Garage Door

Corey just installed our new garage door opener. Completed job smoothly and easily. Plus Corey has a winning personality and a great sense of humor. We were very pleased with his service.

This is a review solely on making an appointment and my appointment time not being kept, NOT the actual service.
I called Stapley Monday evening and left a voice mail stating that I needed someone to come look at my garage and give me a quote on what I would need to get done to get my garage functioning again. The garage opener completely stopped working and it is a old unit so I assume I need quite a few things done but I know NOTHING about garages, hence needing someone to come look at it and give me a quote.
An appointment was made for today between 12 and 3pm. I let the lady know that I had class until 12:30 today so a note was made in my appointment stating so. It is now 3:30pm and there has been no form of communication from Stapley stating that the service guy would be late. I just called and explained that no one has shown up & asked if someone is on the way. The lady was very kind but didn’t seem shocked by what I had said. She had me hold and contacted the service guy. She came back and said he was stuck on a job and wouldn’t be to my place until after 4:30pm & asked if that was ok. I said no cause I have been waiting at home for the service guy since I got home from school. If someone would have called and communicated that they got caught up and we’re running late I would totally understand and would have gotten my errands done earlier so I could be home later for the service guy. Hopefully they improve their communication with customers if they have any schedule changes. A simple call or text could help keep a potential customer instead of drive them away.

These people were contracted by Home Depot to install a new garage door we purchased from Home Depot. They were pleasant and easy to work with and their installer did an excellent job of fitting the door and finished quickly.

We send these guys quite a bit of business. They always do a good job. But this review isn’t about that. It’s about MY experience.
When the tech arrived from Stapley he was on time. I like on time.
Okay hold on, let me start over. The backlog to this story: When I leave for a weekend, my house goes on lock down. I’m paranoid like that. So I have this special locking mechanism for my garage door, you know for extra reinforcement in case someone decides to break in and feed my 80lb wolf. Well, in my haste, upon returning home after a long weekend, I tried to open said garage door while said locking mechanism was still engaged. Bad idea. Ripped the dang garage door opener right off the door, and some of the door with it! Sheesh. Embarrassing. It took me a week just to tell my fiancé what happened.
So back to Stapley. Tech comes out, looks at door, saves me the embarrassment by not asking me why the door looks the way it does. Tells me what my options are. I like options. Then says, you know I can just put «this thing here», and he totally fixed it. He was able to bypass broken part with new part, and charged me significantly less than what I would have expected. I was pretty pumped. All the while, the tech doesn’t know that my company gives him lots of business and yet the service he offered was outstanding. Oh, and before he told me what the cost was going to be, he also helped me reattach a hanging storage unit at his suggestion. Pretty cool.
Stapley gets my recommendation and I’m proud to refer them when my clients need the help.
