Aj replaced the carrier bearing to my kia sorento. He was honest and told me I did not need to replace the U joints. He saved me $ 500 as I was about to be ripped off by another garage that told me the entire drive train needed to be replaced. The work was done fast and efficiently. I spent $ 200 and was in and out in a couple of hours. Amazing!

I stopped in last week trying to find out more about the propeller shaft from a 07 Acura RL. First off, if you come here, make sure you take item in question off the car first. This place doesn’t have a lift so they won’t be able to inspect it without it off the vehicle. Second, AJ was able to give me a bunch of information to make a good decision on the propeller shaft. He was hoping he could fix the CV boots, but the parts he could get wouldn’t fit properly. Right off the bat, he noticed that it was carbon fiber. When I put my hand on the rear u-joint and realized it was shot too. AJ pointed out that the u-joint was staked in place and even if he replaced it, it’d be extremely difficult to center and then there wouldn’t be a way to balance the shaft. Both of us were really hoping he could repair the propeller shaft, but it looks like even if he could find the parts to replace the cracked/leaking boots, the u-joint would still be a problem. The other option was for them to build a replacement driveshaft. AJ seemed confident that they could make one and I believe they could. It would have to be made of steel for strength, carbon fiber would be out of the question and aluminum wouldn’t be strong enough because of the size restriction. All in all, if you need anything done, these guys should be your first place to check out. They have a wealth of knowledge to help you make the best decision. Thanks AJ and thanks Drive Train of Mesquite!
