Markham East Stylists

What a great find! I just moved and have been freaking out about finding an affordable yet great place to get my haircut and I found it at Markham East. There is a serious lack of salons on the SE side of Dallas and there is no way in heck I’m dealing with traffic to get my hair cut but some snotty brat who’s going to charge me $ 70 for a trim downtown. These girls are nice and make you feel at home. Its the «typical» salon atmosphere, everyone talks to each other which provided me with some MUCH needed girl time since I’m starting over friendless in this town. Nothing super special, they dont hand you champagne when you walk through the door or have overpriced artwork on the wall, they are just plain nice and attentive, thats all that matter to me! I actually hate to share how awesome they are because I don’t want them to book up but they deserve the business!!!

I have been getting my hair done by Lisa Perry for 4 — 5 years. When I first moved to DFW in 2007 I was having a difficult time finding someone who I trusted with my hair. (Back home I had seen the same girl for most of my life). One day I was told to pay a visit to Markham East Stylists and see Lisa Perry. I am more than glad I did.
She has seen me through my blonde (when I met her) and my brunette (what I am now) phases. I grew up with naturally blonde hair but as I have gotten older it has continued to get darker. She kept up with keeping me blonde and it looked great and so natural. And when I finally decided to cave and go full brunette I gave her full control over the color… and it was PERFECT. I do not think I had ever been so happy and in love with my hair.
Not only is she fabulous with color, but she has been great with my cuts too. I have very long, naturally straight, very thin hair (but a lot of it). With the length it is it is hard to keep looking healthy. She knows exactly what to do to make it look full and healthy. Also, she is very honest and lets me know what cuts will look good and not-​so-​good on me (she has def saved me a few times from a few bad ideas I’ve had). She would never let anyone walk out of the shop with hair that was anything less than perfect.
Also, an entire bridal party and I (about 15 people total) saw her the day of the wedding (and prior wedding functions) to get our hair done. Everyone’s hair was done wonderfully and in record time! (I was not very surprised though, shes AMAZING). She even found a way to incorporate my hair wraps (some ive had longer than ive known her) into the up-​do (which i thought might have been iffy, a few girls before Lisa tried to get me to cut them out).
Bottom line is… She is the best. Ive always gotten compliments on my hair thanks to her. I recently moved to Austin and I will definitely be making trips to see her when I can. She is all about the customer and will make sure you walk out looking amazing and beautiful.

I LOVE this place. Lisa Hogan does my hair and I have NEVER walked away less than thrilled with my hair. She’s the only person I’ve ever been to that consistently listens to what I want and always delivers! She’s amazing. The salon has a wonderfully friendly atmosphere.

Lisa Perry does amazing hair, she’s done my hair for 15+ years!!! She can pretty much do it all. Lisa will listen to what you want, but is also upfront & honest about what works best for your hair type. She has been doing hair for many many years, so she knows her stuff! The salon has a fun atmosphere where you feel like you’re friends with everyone. I highly suggest checking her out!

There are no words to describe how much I love this place!!! I started going to Markham East when I as a freshman in High School. I now live in NYC and every time I fly home I always go to see Mrs. Lisa Hogan right away! No one dose my hair like LISA!!! I love, love, love her!!! Cut and color she is amazing and I always walk away from her chair feeling phenomenal!!!
The women in the salon are all great and extremely friendly!!! They really love what they do!!! Every time I am there I feel so welcomed and right at home!
One of the things I miss most about Texas is having Lisa as my hairdresser!!!
