General used bookstore that also carries movies and music. This includes hardbacks, comics, magazines, DVD’s, VHS tapes, Laser Disks, Beta Tapes, CD’s, Cassettes, LP’s, 45’s, 78’s, and 8-Tracks.
Trade-ins are accepted for up to one half of the normal purchase price of recycled items. Cash may be paid for some items, but this is a more selective process and will usually only bring around 60% as much the store credit for the same item.
History
Established in 1974.
Started in the smaller building (~850 sq. ft.) next door and moved in 1976 to the current 3900+ sq. ft. building at 108 E. Davis in downtown Mesquite, Texas.

Business Owner
Marquetta and John are two small town East Texas kids who loved to read and were lucky enough to find a way to work with books ever since their first part time bookstore in Terrell, Texas in 1973 called Saturday Books since that was the only day it was open.
They feel fortunate to be in the world of used books since this lets them see lots of books that other readers found out about instead of being limited to only those that they came to know about if they had been in new books.
