Xcape Adventures is setting the standard for escape rooms across the country. Xcape Adventures is a family friendly business designed to entertain people of all ages, with two exciting rooms to choose from. The rooms are designed to be both challenging and entertaining with interactive puzzles, hidden objects, secret areas and cool effects. All of this is combined with an immersive environment in order to put you and your friends, family or co-​workers in the game.

Xcape is owned and operated by long-​time friends, Zachary Slack and Aubrey Dewbre of the Cedar Creek Lake area in Henderson County. Both have an interest in video games and technology. Combining those passions together, the two paired up to create Xcape Adventures, a real-​life escape room like no other in the Dallas/​Ft. Worth area.

We went for the Steampunk Room and had an extremely exciting adventure! It was 4 adults and 3 kids, and we all had an amazing time– we went down to 4 seconds, but managed to «escape»! If you’re looking for a great experience for families or friends, check out Xcape! We’re looking forward to trying out their 4 new rooms once they open!

So much fun! Booked the game over room because all other times for the other room were full. Had such a good time with my team of 5 (got out with only a minute to spare) and can’t wait to go back to try the steam punk room. They’re expanding to add more rooms and I can’t wait to see what they come up with. Well worth our drive from plano; we were so hyped up from our escape that we didn’t wanna go home! Highly recommend!

Had a blast at Xcape! Great puzzles and great staff. We’ve done a lot of puzzle rooms and this is up there with the best. We did the Game Over room with five people and made it out with nine minutes to spare with only one clue.

Started with the Game On room and had so much FUN; we did the SteamPunk room.
Great setup and puzzles, great storylines; well worth the 45 minute drive from Grapevine.
Zach and Aubrey were great story tellers and clue masters.

11 of us went (wouldn’t recommend more than 8) as a part of my Halloween birthday party on 10÷31÷15. We really enjoyed the Steam Punk and were pleased with the price and of the space the escape room. 11 was really too many people, but the owners were extremely flexible about that part and only charged $ 20 extra per person, which is on their website, so that wasn’t a surprise. I personally wish that Xcape Adventures would allow people to book individually online because I don’t mind doing these rooms with random people. Also, having my friends settle up with me in cash would have been avoided (2 never did, but oh well). Overall, we had a great time! Lot’s of surprises and twists. I look forward to visiting again next time I am in Mesquite.

Had a great time doing the Game Over room! In addition to the great attention to detail, the non-​linear nature of the room was a real challenge. Couldn’t make it with 2 people, I’d say 4 would have been perfect. Scheduling is easy, the owners are really friendly, AND when you book the room it’s just your group (you’re not just booking a slot in a group of random people).
We’ll be back for the Steampunk room!

I had been looking for something to do with my team at work for a team build. When I heard about XCape Adventures, I thought it would be perfect. It did not disappoint!!! We did the Steam Punk Room and managed to solve it with only a few minutes to spare (but only after being supplied with our three hints). It was challenging, but not impossible. This is the perfect activity for a team build, fun with friends, or even family bonding! The guys who run it were very friendly and very helpful! I highly recommend it!

My two friends and I are science & puzzle nerds, so this activity was right up our alley. The Space Encounter room was definitely a challenge, but we had a blast and completed it with some hints from the staff.
And as another reviewer said, other places will charge per head and pair you up with strangers if you don’t fill up the room. Fortunately here, it’s a flat rate for the room and you only go in with your private group.

This was awesome! We booked a late time slot (9:15 & 9:30) and getting to the place seemed a little shady. Once we got in, the people were very friendly. I got a group of 14 and split 7 vs 7 (girls vs boys). Girls in the space room and boys in the steam punk room. Being in the space room, we got out with 3.5 minutes. The room itself is a little on the dark side but pretty clean. It was such an adrenaline rush at the end watching the clock run out. Everyone had a great time!

3 of us were here 2 weekends ago and had a blast! We did both the Steampunk and Space Encounter rooms. Both rooms are extremely thought out and have extensive puzzle systems that you have to work your way through. We managed to beat Steampunk with 4 minutes left (missed some obvious hints) but lost Space Encounter on the last clue (this room was difficult and required some «hints» from the staff.
Pricing for these rooms is outstanding. $ 99 for the entire room, rather you bring 2 or up to 8 people. This is half off any other escape room I’ve seen. Typically you pay $ 28 – 30 a person, but will be paired up with strangers if you don’t have the full 8 people. First, I wouldn’t want to work with strangers on these kinds of puzzles. There are some whack jobs out there. Second, I think having 8 people would be too many. It all depends on the minds of the people you bring.
Owner was absolutely outstanding. Fantastic customer service and spent time talking to us about the rooms and how they came to be.
This is a MUST for anyone who loves video games. It reminded me of a Tomb Raider/​Bioshock puzzles with a Fallout feel. Anyone would enjoy this though!
Can’t wait until they open new rooms and I’m back in the area to try it out.

The video on their website was so fantastic. I couldn’t wait to round up some friends and go! The booking process was a breeze and parking was ample. You’ll most likely be greeted by the owner (or one of the owners). This guy was so passionate about gaming and proving the best game-​play experience. I like how you book the entire game for $ 99 for 2 – 8 players. This way, you’ll be playing with people that you are familiar with and may know their strengths & weaknesses.
We played the steam punk game. Of course you’re not getting any spoilers from me, but I can guarantee you that you won’t be disappointed. I am a commercial designer and always wanted to get into set design. With that said, I think these guys did an amazing job with their game set– so innovative. The entire game was well thought out and a blast to participate with friends.
I can’t wait for another opportunity to come back to the Dallas area to play another game here. This is my sixth room escape experience and, hands down, the best one. This place is legit and will grow and expand without a doubt!

It is hard to find a good family friendly Sat activity that everyone will enjoy. And for my group that is exactly what this was! I have gone twice and loved it both tines immensely! I want more rooms since I have already done all of them. The price is a little high but if we got 8 people and split the cost! I love this. I have nothing negative to say! A great experience!!!

My family had the opportunity to check this place out recently. We were looking for something family friendly near by & not to expensive for a family of 6. This place was just that! We got to pretend for an hour that we were locked in a space room and couldn’t get out till we found the key. It was a mind puzzle for us all to interact with. My husband was the team captain and my 8yo kept track of the clues we found. I can’t tell you much more about the game itself or I’d spoil it. You really gotta check it out for yourselves! We are definitely going back to play the steam punk room!
