New dealer ownership, new attitude.
When you take your Cadillac in for service you do not get GM OEM parts that you expect and are paying a premium for instead of going to a cheaper non dealer repair shop. You instead get non GM parts that you pay a premium for thinking you are paying for GM OEM parts. Service said they cannot carry parts and have to make a profit by buying non GM OEM parts and saving wait time\inventory carrying costs. I called Cadillac HQ in Detroit and was told the dealers are not owned by GM and are privately owned even though GM/​Cadillac web site says you will get GM parts and service. GM has no control on their day to day business.
Overheard serve department rep. tell a customer to go somewhere else if they did not like the service. Like I said new ownership new attitude. Why did they not ask why the customer was not happy and explain why the dealer is never at fault.
Examples: I paid for an oil change that was never done. I found out when I drove home, checked my oil level which was dirty and ¾ quart low and the oil indicator said 8% life, same as it was before I went to the dealer. Back to dealer was told mechanic forgot to reset oil life indicator. I asked to speak to mechanic who opened hood, checked oil and then mechanic said he did not change the oil which the dealership then did. Had I not checked, I would of been liable when my engine failed.
I paid for my cabin filter to be replaced which I paid for. Upon leaving servive I asked to see the old filter o I could determine when to change the filter next. They went back to the mechanic wo said he never changed the filter. They had to order a filter and I had to go back to the dealer to have it installed. Glad I checked.
Beware when you go in for warranty or other service do not expect GM OEM parts just aftermarket parts on your new car.
New ownership, new attitude. Maximize profit at customers expense.

Had a rear spoiler installed. The Body shop was very prompt, professional & courteous

Poor warranty service.
We have an Escalade ESV Platinum Ed. We took it in for warranty work. First it took a bit longer than promised for a few very minor issues but my 1 star rating is because of a petty issue by the dealership.
We scheduled the service 2 weeks in advance to make sure we secured a loaner car. At least the loaner was another Cadillac but the issue I have is that when we brought the car back we were told we used 4 gallons of gas so we could go fill it up of pay $ 4/​gallon. Obviously it’s not the cost it’s the principal. I brought in my $ 90,000 SUV and they are charging me for gas??? My escalade was there for warranty service on the car that they needed to fix. This was not a elective visit it was a necessary visit to fix a couple defective issues on the vehicle and they changed me $ 16 in gas for a loaner car. Pathetic.
We also have an Audi and have had several Lexus in the past. This was never an issue. I was at Audi the week before and was greeted with open arms and I was provided a more comparable audi as a loaner with no expense to me. For most this may not be an issue but for me it’s the principal. It is telling of how little Cadillac of New Orleans values its customers.

I bought a 2013 SRX beginning of May 2013. I was a little disappointed that their was a recall so soon after buying it. The recall was loosening of wheel nuts.
I called the dealership to schedule a date to bring it in. Lisa called me back immediately & scheduled a day to meet my convenience. She said they would give me a car (this was impressive. What other dealership does that) to drive until they fixed it.
My husband brought it in for me & as he pulled up into the Service shop, which he said was immaculate for a mechanic shop, two individuals met him @ the truck door to great him & see how they could assist him. Lisa was one of them. He explained why he was there. What impressed my husband the most was that the owner Mr Murphy came out, introduced himself, told my husband they would have him out within minutes & asked him if he would like a Cappuccino. He told my husband how much he appreciated that we bought a Cadillac & that he was going to make sure they would get him taken care of & on his way ASAP.
He said the waiting room was very nice & comfortable. Anytime we need an oil change or maintenance we bring it to Cadillac & they do it for free.
I love the way it drives & all of the perks that come standard but are extra expensive w/​all other vehicles. If my SRX continues to hold up its end of the bargain & this is the kind of service I will continue to receive w/​each visit then I think I will be a Cadillac owner for life
