They did my brakes on my Audi. At first, I wasn’t satisfied– I left the car overnight and they corrected whatever the problem was and I feel they did a good job. Price wise, I feel they were better than the dealer and they also used all audi parts. They have worked on a number of my vehicles and always do a good, timely job. I would recommend them. wallace

First off, I want to commend the honesty Geiling Auto Service provides. I bought my BMW in because it was overheating. I was called promptly back to be notified that the thermostat was likely the culprit. The quote was for $ 460.00. I agreed to proceed with the job. The following day, I get a call and the mechanic to which indicated to me that upon further research, he believed it’s the water pump. On BMW’s, waterpumps are expensive and labor intensive. They informed me that they did not want to change the thermostat and come to find out, it’s the waterpump and referred me to a few shops that would be able to diagnose it for me and pinpoint the problem. This is why I will and always go back to Geiling Auto Service. Geiling Auto Service will be my first destination for any auto repair needs. They never disappoint.

Steve, Lorraine, and the crew are great. I have been using them for about a year since I friend recommended them. If you want trustworthy people who actually tell you the truth and don’t try to scare you into unnecessary services, THIS is the place to go. I appreciate that they actually listen to any concerns and give solid recommendations for the care of my car. When my car is being serviced I usually wait there, I like that they actually remember their customers and ask about how you have been. Even when they are working on other tasks, Steve and Lorraine will chat with those of us waiting.
Finding trustworthy mechanics can be so difficult, but look no further! I recommend them to everyone.

Been to Geiling twice and both times were stellar experiences. They are FAST and GOOD and while they may not be the cheapest, you are going to get what you pay for. if you don’t need it, they’ll tell you. I’ll be back. hopefully not real soon, but I’ll be back. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Excellent service, great people. I live a few blocks away and had a flat tire. I walked down to their shop because I didn’t have a lug wrench and without a second thought they let me borrow one of theirs. I will for sure be going to then for any repairs needed.

Excellent service, honest folks. I never felt pressured like I was being upcharged for unnecessary services. Lorraine called me multiple times with updates and an estimated completion time; Steve (owner) personally met with me to discuss the services I wanted and said if some weren’t necessary, he wouldn’t do them. Their prices weren’t really much cheaper than the dealership, but I felt Geiling’s family-​run business really earned MY business.

I have been here a couple of times now, and have received consistent good service. Steve and this shop were recommended to me by the previous repair shop that I frequented for about 5 years before moving to NOLA from Portland, OR, based on similar accreditations. This shop is constantly busy, but everyone is extremely nice and will go out of their way to help you. I drive a Hyundai, and have only needed this shop for oil changes so far, but they have always been able to help.

Steve and the rest of the crew at Geiling are very nice and professional. I like to do my own automotive work because I just don’t trust others to do it properly. There have been times in the past when I used to go to those quick oil change shops and wonder if they are really putting in exactly what I ordered. That’s when I started doing my own oil changes, brakes, etc.
A few days ago I wanted to replace some parts on my truck. I tried to do it myself but I couldn’t pull open the panel on my own and complete the work so I had to call a shop to do it. I searched for automotive shops online and found Geiling. I called them up and told them my situation. The lady that talked to me on the phone was a sweetheart and chatted with me as if we have known each other for years. So I set up an appointment for the next day. When I went there the next day Steve introduced himself to me and asked me what exactly I needed done. Steve gave the job to his guys and they did the job in a snap. I asked Steve how much I owe him and he told me don’t worry about it.
I wish every business was run like Geiling. They will get my business from now on if I ever need more than one pair of hands to get something done.

I’ve received mixed experiences with this shop.
The customer service is wonderful and I would give it five stars. However, I’ve reduced their stars by how many times I’ve taken my car to them and then had to take it to another shop to have it fixed because they were unable to (or were going to charge me 3 times what someone down the road would).
As much as I would like to say my experience was due to the fact I drive a foreign car, I can’t. I had the same issues when I drove a Chevrolet.
In contrast to the previous review. I have NEVER had it fixed correctly the first time. Save your time and money and go somewhere else.

It’s really strange to feel this way about an auto repair shop, but I really, really like Geiling. My family has been going there for over twenty years, and we stick with them because they’re honest, fast and reasonable. I make the drive from Uptown, because I know that by going to Geiling, I’ll be getting great service.
When Geiling works on my car, it is fixed properly. Every time.
They are very reasonably priced, and the AAA discount and oil change loyalty cards make them even more reasonable.
Their customer service is really good. Steve is friendly, and he has the ability to explain what his shop is doing in terms that I can understand.
It’s weird to give an auto repair shop five stars, but they really are that good.
