Jake, & Son

Love Jake (& Son). LOVE.
Prompt, polite, efficient, prompt, friendly, efficient, honest, prompt, trustworthy, helpful, efficient, gives you good advice, and is prompt and efficient.
And, did I say, prompt and efficient?
If you need a wall or ceiling redone, or the plumber came and spent a whole day not being able to figure out what’s wrong despite busting holes in every wall and ceiling in the entire house in order to determine that there isn’t a leak, but would you like a new water heater, no, of course you wouldn’t because yours works perfectly fine and you don’t want an upsell from someone who just busted a bunch of holes in your house for no reason and another $ 10K of work that you don’t want or need isn’t in the budget anyway, then Jake (& Son) is (are?) whom you need to call in order to lower your blood pressure and get the job done right. Not that this happened or anything.
More seriously, there are only a very few contractors that have gained my trust and confidence. Jake (& Son) is at the top of that list.

We called Jakes after getting the run around from another drywall company for a ceiling repair. Jakes came out same day and finished the repair and paint, under a couple of hours! Ceiling looks great, and definitely recommend them to anyone who wants honest service with professional results.

Jake and Rocky had this hole patched in less than two hours. His work is reasonably priced.

When working in our attic, my boyfriend fell through the ceiling. He was ok but left hole approximately 5×3 feet. I found Jake on Unilocal,and left a request for an estimate on his website on Sunday morning of Memorial Day weekend. He was able to give me an estimate from a picture and scheduled the job for the next day, Memorial Day.
He arrived early, completed the work carefully and quickly, with the area properly prepared to keep it clean. It was clean when he left. The ceiling repair looks great. The price was fair and reasonable.
When I thanked him for responding and completing the job quickly, on a holiday weekend, he told me that he loves his job and does not considere this work. His love definitely showed in the care and quality of his work.

Jake and Rocky are THE BEST.
I bought a house that had popcorn texture on the walls and that had to go! Jake was referred to me by a friend and he refinished the walls on one side of my double — the difference is AMAZING. Who knew I could love walls? Their work is all I hoped for and more. As soon as I could, I brought them back to do the work on the other side, too.
On top of consummate professionalism (always doing what they say they will, being on time, completing as forecast, etc. etc.) and excellent craftsmanship, Jake and Rocky are just great people. I love chatting and learning from Jake’s experiences in New Orleans. That’s the lagniappe he brings to the job.
