HORRIBLE… I went back three times to get the worst haircut of my life fixed and I had to literally find a new hair dresser somewhere ELSE and get all my hair chopped of because of how badly they damaged it.

This is a review of pedicure service only. My mom wanted a pedicure for Mother’s Day but isn’t able to climb up into the chairs with attached foot bath. I searched around and found pictures on the Black Daisy website that looked like that wouldn’t be an issue. When I called, they confirmed that they use disposable tub liners so I made an appointment for the both of us. They do the pedicures in a separate room that only has four chairs. The chairs are super comfortable leather chairs. Seriously, I could have taken a nap in this chair! There is also no visual/audio distraction in the room. No TV’s or radios blaring, just a nice, relaxing environment. This is a nice departure from the other place I frequent that has 15 stations lined up right next to each other. That makes it hard to relax, especially when the person sitting next to you wants to be chatty. With 2 big screen TV’s constantly showing movies, it’s even harder to relax. My nail technician did a good job and seemed to be as picky as I am. The only thing that felt weird was the owner kept popping into the room as if she was checking up on the girls(or us?). Pricing was right in line with other local salons. My next appointment will be here. When I get a pedicure, it’s a treat and I want to feel peaceful and relaxing. This is how it should be done.

Seriously, probably the worst hair cut of my life. It looks like a 4 year old took the office scissors to the barbie– choppy and an awful blow out that makes the ends of my hair look like they belong in a before shot for some frizz/damage product. She cut twice as much off as I asked and there are clear straggly pieces that I’m gonna need to fix up on my own. My boyfriend actually said, «what happened to your hair» when I got home. The salon is super nice on the inside, which is a positive(but I would go to a basement with rats for a good haircut) and they are open on Mondays, another positive. The cut/style combo was totally overpriced, especially since whatever products they used to wash my hair left it feeling like straw and when I asked for a little product before leaving to smooth down the frizzies they were not so forthcoming and just offered me something from a bottle i couldn’t see that they said was just as good as the stuff I asked for, which it was most definitely not. Also the owner was a bit snotty when I went up to pay, pushing products and making pretentious comments under her breath. All in all, not gonna recommend you head here. Worst part about it was, when your hair looks clearly terrible, but they just keep commenting on how amazing it looks. Don’t lie to my face!

How can the owner of a salon who’s not even a hairdresser affect the clients so much? She makes it so uncomfortable to be there. I tried to make polite chit chat with her about how beautiful the salon was and she was so rude to me. I noticed she was also very demeaning to her staff. The place has bad karma.

I followed Kristal to the Black Daisy, she is an awesome hair stylist! I have long blonde hair and found that with previous hairdressers, they wouldn’t be able to get the color right or it would come out streaky. She does an awesome job with the color and the cut is always great. I drive over 45 minutes to see her when I need my hair done, it’s well worth it. I love the inside of Black Daisy — They did a great job on the décor and the set up. I love the color bar and they always have treats there for their customers, it’s really thoughtful. They work really hard and everyone there has been great. I highly recommend this place for hair(I’m sure the other services are great too, I’ve just never used them). :)
