I am fully insured, licensed, member of NFPA (National Fire Protection Association), and affiliated with the Better Business Bureau. I offer 10% senior discounts, free inspections, and competitive prices.

History

Established in 2008.

I started out working for several well-established chimney companies in Peabody, MA; North Reading, MA; and Salem, NH. I was very well trained and groomed from chimney sweep technician to a professional chimney specialist; from working with a colleague on the field to working independently; and had since advanced my chimney career from sweeping to repairs, masonry, sales, and marketing.

In 2008, I decided to venture out on my own by the name of Dave’s Chimney Service. It progressed slowly as I tried to build the company from scratch, clientele, and credentials. Two years later, the business started to pick up from a one man crew to a team of professionals.

I pride myself of being punctual, professional, and guaranteed customer satisfaction! This work ethic has worked well for my business and customers seemed to respond well. I came from a family of roofers. My father owned a roofing company and my three brothers were roofers. I was helping out the family business when I was a young teen by getting up and down the roofs. I’ve worked in construction, pest/animal control, and dairy farm over 10 years. I began my chimney career in 2003 working as Chimney Sweeper. During this time, I attended many workshops and seminars which qualified me to be Chimney Specialist. Five years later, I started my own chimney service specializing in chimney cleaning and repairs. My mission is to provide honest, fair, and dependable services to all my clients. I came from a hard-working family, and I have and always will work hard for you. These guys are great! When you are working with people that have integrity, you can tell. This is definitely a company that has integrity. I originally went with a company that gave me a four hour window for arrival. This company gave me a one hour arrival window (11 – 12), and they actually arrived at right at 11:00. Sometimes schedules don’t work as planned no matter what, but Dave called me a couple days prior to ask me if it was okay to move the start time from between 10 – 11 to 11 – 12. That is still only a one hour arrival window. No complaints at all.
When they arrived, they were very professional and informative. He told me we didn’t need to sweep the chimney, but it doesn’t have a cap. Also, our damper (120 years old) wasn’t working very well. So, I agreed to add a cap and damper.
He and his partner were on the roof talking about the work, while I was in the house. I could hear them through the chimney. I knew they didn’t think about what they were saying because of a few playful comments they might not have said in front of a customer, but something I also overheard impressed me. The head guy was telling the other guy what he was doing (might have been an apprenticeship). He made comment about doing the job right and making sure the highest work quality is applied. I was impressed by the conversation they didn’t know I heard.
In the end, if you want a responsive company that doesn’t make you wait, then choose these guys. They will drive into Boston to do the job, and they will be fair and honest… and cheaper than the quote I got from the other company I tried.

Dave called me promptly, was flexible with a last minute reschedule, sent a reminder and then came to next appointment EARLY. He impressed me as my adult son was home but did a quality check and was 100% honest without me being there. I didn’t need his services was the outcome. Wow it impressed me and my son that his customer service, prompt and thorough evaluation resulted in good feedback and no scamming for any type of service and no attitude. I had my fireplace chimney swept and level one inspected by Sam today. He was very courteous and professional. He called to let me know he was running not late but early, which was great for me. He did a thorough job (from what I can tell :-) and left me better informed about my chimney (I know nothing about chimneys and recently purchased this home). Price was much better than quote I received from a competitor. I plan to use them again and would defintely recommend them.

I called and spoke directly to Dave to set an appointment. He was able to fit us in just a few days after I called, during the busy season. On day of service, he called a couple times to let us know he was running a little late, but he still arrived within the estimated arrival timeframe.
Dave was quick, thorough, professional with me and my husband, and very friendly to our two young girls (he even gave them each little chimney sweeper figurines). His price for cleaning/inspection was better than local competitors and we were able to get an appointment 2 weeks earlier than a local competitor.
