History
Established in 1998.
Jazz aficionado Jocko Arcidiacono has had a love affair with jazz all his life and over the years he frequented the Boston area jazz clubs where he came to know many of the artists. In 1998 he decided to start a venue for jazz artists to showcase their talent and he has been doing it ever since. With over 10 years in the current Methuen location, Jocko’s Jazz has had world class artists such as saxophonists Scott Hamilton, Phil Woods and Harry Allen, trumpeter Claudio Roditi, bassist Marshall Wood (Tony Bennett), guitarist Gray Sargent (Tony Bennett), pianist Mike Renzi (Tony Bennett), drummer Mark Walker (Paquito D’Rivera), bassist Oscar Stagnaro (Paquito D’Rivera), pianist Tim Ray (Lyle Lovett), pianist Jetro daSilva (Whitney Houston), and others too numerous to mention. The venue has a cozy dinner theater atmosphere and the clientele are quiet and appreciative of the artists. Jocko invites you to come to Jocko’s Jazz to see, hear and judge for yourself. You won’t be disappointed!
