Description

Specialties

What my office, provides is professional planning, counseling, and advocacy services.

In the area of aging services, we match seniors and their families up with providers in the elder service industry.

As a parent of a child with special needs, I have learned first hand how to build a «team» with schools, educators, and other service providers. To that end, special education advocacy services, guiding parents through the IEP and special education process, working to help children develop their skills and capacity in order to maximize their potential through proper supports and services both academically and socially.

We can work with small business owners to create growth development ideas, including but not limited to software, equipment, web site development and marketing, business management counseling, basic book keeping services, setting up payroll, and federal, state, and local income tax planning and preparation, and questions of selecting and creating entities.

History

Established in 2008.

I am a 1992 graduate of the University of Massachusetts-Boston, and obtained my law degree, (J.D.), from Franklin Pierce Law Center in Concord, New Hampshire in 1996.

In 2008, I left the practice of law to focus on the implementation and development of a broad spectrum of services as a consultant and advocate for small businesses and families. I had lost my way, and although it took a lot of soul searching to discover it, I realized that I forgot many of the reasons I went to law school and more importantly, the ideals which inspired me in that decision. In forming Nakata Consulting, my mission became to «serve» others, by offering solutions, through implementing and developing strategies to help people problem solve. My goal is to build «relationships»; not simply be transactional.

My family and mentors have taught me that there is no such thing as perfection, but «hard work» will help you succeed in any challenge. That is the message I want to bring; with hard work, trust.

Meet the Business Owner

Joe C.

Business Owner

I come from a blue collar Portuguese family. My grandparents were first generation immigrants who worked hard at many jobs to earn a living wage. My father was a teamster, and worked as a laborer his whole life. Myself, I grew up in a blue collar city, (Somerville, Massachusetts), and have tried hard not to forget my roots or from where I came. I know it sounds cliché, but I am a «people person», who enjoys working as part of a team and still today wants to make a difference.
