We are a half-​day nursery school serving children from 2 ½ to 6 years old. Community Nursery School offers personal attention to each and every family and provides a hands-​on developmentally appropriate play-​based curriculum, focusing on social development, reading readiness and early math & science skills. We are conveniently located in downtown Metuchen in the Presbyterian Church on an 8 acre site with plenty of room to explore. CNS is NJ State licensed and has been in business since 1949.

History

Established in 1949.

Community Nursery School began as a single classroom cooperative and has expanded to four classrooms with a full paid staff. We are proud to be serving the 3^rd generation of some local families.

Manager

As Director, I have a BA and K-​12 teaching certificate as well as a MA in Early Childhood Education with P-​3 certification. I have 17 years of experience as an early childhood teacher and director.
