This place is really nice and as fancy as it gets. There are wine tasting events and a lot of wine selections to choose from. But they didn’t forget about us beer lovers — they always have some new craft beers rotating throughout the year and are pretty well stocked.

If i am desperate, i will shop here.
Otherwise i will always go to joe canals.
Prices are expensive and staff was not very helpful.
Store was empty when i went in on saturday

I was really happy with my experience here, I wish I had visited earlier. They have a large single malt scotch collection, arranged by regions. The owner walked me through their selections and rare bottles, and even matched price with Costco for a rare Macallan (that he had only priced 20 $ higher… I’ve seen it marked up as high as 100 $ over). Fair prices, great selection, knowledgeable staff– everything I want in a liquor store.

I’m a continued patron here and they keep expanding their selection and staff. This updated review warrants me to write that Greg who is their store manager was so helpful in helping me find all the right stuff for my private party I was doing.
Never been to their wine tasting room before until this time around where they were doing a small wine tasting and I must say that I’ve never seen a tasting room quite like it. The room was decorated with a fiber optic chandelier that was just stunning. The floor was some kind of an epoxy finish that was just royal, and the seating was also very comfortable.
Overall, when I’m in town visiting, I make it a point to stop by here to make sure I pick up what I need to. Prices continue to be the best marketing aspect of this place as you can save a boat load by making some big purchases ahead of time. Well done guys.

First time customer and most likely it’s not going to be my last. I have definitely found my go to liquor store in the area. I used to head over to AP liquor around the corner but the prices here are just magical. Let me start off first by saying that it’s very conveniently located in town and easy to park and hop right in. The store itself is huge with a crazy amount of selection and it’s clean! OMG, finally a liquor store that doesn’t smell like fungus. They had this amazing jasmine smell in the air that was very refreshing and welcoming. The floors were sparkling as if you could eat off the floor. The lights aisles were quite big and roomy.
The staff is knowledgable and helpful in finding the stuff I was looking for. Btw, if you haven’t tried the Balvenie scotch 14 years old Caribbean Cask then you are missing out. Amazing selection of the wines, scotches and beers. It’s truly seems to be a one stop shop for me in town.
Prices were also very good compared to the other guys in town, at least $ 3 — $ 6 in some cases. Don’t waste you time and money by going anywhere else, Wine Château is where it’s at. Truly as 5 star location, business and people. They have earned my business for a very long time, at least till my liver lasts.

If you are looking for a clean, friendly and top notch wine shop then stop your search now and visit this store. You’ll be surprised at the massive selection they have of the wines I was looking for. Picked up a few craft brews as well for a blind tasting that is happening soon.
Store is quite big but without a warehouse type feel to it. It has low shelves, wide aisles, bright lights and smells amazing, lol. The staff was quite friendly in all areas and I believe Greg (not 100% sure of the name) helped me pick out some nice selections of wines that I’m looking forward to trying. The parking was quite easy as it was a quick in and out.
The prices are very, very reasonable for a couple of bottles of liquor I picked up, if not the cheapest I found in town.
I believe it’s a family owned business and it shows in the customer service. These guys are a class act and they have earned my business for a very long time.

The online website promises a huge range of items, which they cannot even deliver on!
I ordered 6 bottles of single malt and got only 3 delivered! When I call, I get a rather rude person on the phone telling me — ‘If I cannot fill the order, I cannot! There is nothing I can do about it!!!‘
Horrible customer service! Even worse collection in store! If you are serious Single Malt enthusiast, go elsewhere

Excellent for wine connosoirs! It is evident that they carefully select any wine they sell. They periodically have wine tasting events, and the tasting room is as plush and elegant as a Manhattan lounge! This is an ideal place for both wine experts and those who want to get into the art of tasting! Even the bottom shelf wines here are worth trying. The manager, Greg is very well versed and knows exactly what to recommend to any inquiring customer. Their fine wine selection is abundant in rare and unique vintages. And the champagne selection is the best in central Jersey! This place even smells delightful (no kidding)!

I have been ordering from Wine Château for quite a while. It used to be wonderful — easy to deal with quick delivery and responsive. Those days are gone. My last three deliveries have been nothing but problems.
1.) mischarges
2.) unresponsive to inquiries
3.) extremely late with deliveries
I don’t know what happened with them in the last 6 months, what could have been a glowing review 6 months ago has turned into a poor one and a customer who ordered for both my personal and business use — is gone
Buyer Beware here

I give this place four stars only because parking situation can get tough, and sometimes the sommeliers for wine tasting have literally no knowledge about the products they are dispensing.
Otherwise, I like that they price match and have a good selection of wines, beers, and liquors.
I also have attended some of their events and have found them to be fun and engaging. I most recently attended the Cinco de Mayo function and thought it was fun!

I love this place, they have regular wine tastings most Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays (I think from 5 to 7pm ish). Always make you feel welcome with great knowledgeable staff. I have been a regular for the past 12 to 18 months.
Just recently started to use the website where they offer some fantastic deals with free shipping on cases of 12! The delivery for me comes within 24 hours but then again I live pretty close to the store:).
Also they offer loyalty points in store and online! Prices and quality are unmatched Go check them out!

Besides having a great assortment of both beer and wine the staff is very knowledgeable. My family is both beer and wine snobs and appreciate the various options of each.
There is one staff member Greg that has helped us on numerous occasions find the right wine for our needs and its always been a home run. Whether its for a gift, a party or Tuesday night, he always takes the time to consider our budget and finds the perfect bottle. We now send emails with our needs and he continually finds us an amazing assortment. Overall, our favorite place to shop for beer and wine.

Wine Château is my favorite liquor store.
They have a great selection of beer, wine and hard liquor. I often try beers from here that I haven’t seen at any other liquor store. It’s great to catch alcohol tastings on the weekends too.

This place was opened for new years day. Was able to purchase our Irish beer. Also great selections of both wine and beer. Thanku for being there for me and my sweetie celebration :-)

Tried twice to order online — in the first case they sent the wrong items. When I contacted them to tell them they apologized as a mistake, had me ship it back and. Told me they would promptly ship the right items. After two weeks, I called and was informed it was shipping today. Two weeks later I got a refund.
I called and was informed it was another mistake and to reorder as they were certain it was a one off. To day, after waiting another week it arrived and again was wrong as before. So I figure I’ll get a tap dance and hopefully a refund again.
My recommendation, don’t waste your time on this fraud. They appear incapable of simple operations and a serious risk to trust wig he an order, be ware!

This is only based on the tasting room.
My husband, 2 friends, and I had signed up for the free Bunnahabhain Tasting and expected a nice relaxing evening with friends learning about Whisky. What we got was an unbelievable education on whisky from the Bunnahabhain rep, who was extremely entertaining. He never stopped pouring fantastic whisky after whisky inside this amazingly furnished tasting room. Others are correct in saying this room looks more like a NYC lounge/​club than a tasting spot in a wine store. The couches were comfy and the décor swanky but cozy. I’m happy we went and we really enjoyed the presentation and atmosphere of this tasting room. A great time with great friends!

I wish I lived in Metuchen. They have an amazing wine selection. Best prices around. They even have a price guarantee. If you can get it somewhere cheaper they will match the price. The manager is very in tune with the best wines for the buck and will never steer you wrong. One very cool thing about this store is the tasting room. It is amazing. I have never made it to one of the tasting events but I am sure hoping I will be invited at some point.

This is one of the most beautiful wine stores I’ve seen around. Went there recently to purchase wines and spirits for a party I was organizing and pretty much found everything I was looking for. The space is big and spacious. The staff was just superb and took care of me throughout the whole buying process.
One of the things that really stood out for me was their champagne lounge that they had build in a very unique way. This is a must go to wine store for any enthusiast or someone who is just starting out.

My understanding is that the owner also owns the adjacent restaurant, Lola. This was a smart move, as Lola is BYOB. We went there before dinner and picked up 3 bottles of wine to go with our meals. While we dined there, I saw several more customers leave Wine Château and enter Lola for dinner.
The name is appropriate. While you can get beer and liquor here, the majority of the space is reserved for wine, predominantly better wine. The wines are very well organized and presented. The employees were glad to assist, but I was having a better time hunting on my own.
The wine tasting room — more like a lounge — has better furniture than I’ve seen in many homes.
If I’m in the area and looking for better wines for dinner or an event, this would no doubt be my first stop.
