Called to make an appointment, left message, he called back. He was rather curt, but within moments he was brushing me off and eager to hang up, saying«bye…bye» in a dismissive, condescending way and hung up. I was shocked! And this is a guy that makes a living LISTENING and counseling??? Talk about first impressions! I called him back because I wanted to clarify payment information and got his voicemail. Maybe he had another patient waiting or something came up, but if that was the case, he wasn’t communicating that. He DID choose to call me when he did, after all. Either way, lousy listener and lousy communicator. I don’t need either as a therapist. So I cancelled my appointment and resumed my search for a counselor.

Waited 10 minutes past scheduled time for him to finish with prior patient. He is alone and has no staff. His office is cramped and has ants crawling all over the floor where patients sit on chairs. He seemed distracted and did not encourage my wife and I that couseling should be pursued or encourage us in any way. Nonetheless, we booked a 2nd appointment… what a mistake! When we arrived for our 2nd appointment, Mesch said he accidentally double-booked and the other patient was already in his office! He didn’t offer to have us wait and see us afterwards! My wife was crying, angry and felt even more helpless. I tried to reassure her that I’d find another marriage counselor, but she decided not to pursue any further counseling. No more. Instead, we are now embroiled in our 2nd year of a terrible contested divorce procedure. Mesch didn’t cause this but he certainly didn’t help.
