I though this place looked great from the outside and the lobby. In a busy area of Miami beach and on the beach. Using Mass Transit from/​to MIA airport it’s a quick 2 block walk to this location. As for the interior of this building it need a total renovation. We were concerned about bed bugs, roaches or whatever might be in these rooms. The a/​c was semi-​working and noisy, bathroom were only stocked with hand towels. We asked for full body bath towels, and were told they no longer stock them because they are stolen. ?
Dude, we paid $ 215.00 for a room that doesn’t even face the ocean…
I’d take my money and head somewhere else…

Cons:
–The walls are so thin that we were able to hear our neighbor’s sing «Country Roads» and talk about the women they have/​have not been with.
–This hotel has probably been painted by the owners 5 year old child. It looks horrible.
–The bathroom was pretty gross looking with dirty grout, rusty corners, scratched up flooring complete with dirt in the scratches.
–THE SHOWER IS THE WORST I’VE EVER HAD. Seriously, starts off normal, then it’s scalding hot, then freezing cold, then scalding, then freezing… I had to time when I could jump in the rinse off and when I had to jump out to avoid being scalded. If you’re interested in a bath, just forget it. The room we were in only allowed the water to come out of the shower.
–I was very surprised with how littered the beach was right outside of the hotel.
–The people who checked me in were just there to receive a paycheck.
–The circuits are overloaded with plugs so good luck with that fire hazard.
— The towels were thin and old.
–You have to park across the street in a parking garage and pay $ 40/​per night.
Pros:
–The pillows were nice and comfortable.
–The price is the cheapest you’ll find in that area.
–The boardwalk is right behind the hotel.
I had a better experience in the dirty hooker motel that I stayed in the last night due to the proximity to the airport.

My standards for hotels are pretty low, I usually stay in the cheapest possible option and it’s fine, however this experience was disastrous with the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. We called a few days in advance to book the room and repeated the date several times to make sure it was correct, and arrived that date to check in and they told us that the reservation was for the night before. Nobody would help us and they also refused to give me my Wyndham employee discount even though I had all the necessary paperwork. We ended up having to pay for two nights in the hotel even though the booking mistake was with their reservation service. Nobody apologized for the mistake, not even the manager who did not even seem to understand what happened. They just kept saying «its not our fault.» The room was fine but without a fridge. I will never stay in a Days Inn again because of the horrible experience and I hope the people I talked to read this message!

Come on people, it’s a Days Inn! This ISN’T a world-​class resort, it’s a budget motel chain. I feel like some of these 1-​star reviews held unrealistically high expectations for one of the cheapest oceanside stays you can get on Miami Beach.
some CONS I found to be true:
– walls are very thin, you can hear your neighbors. Ugh.
– when we went, construction was across the street. More noise! (got switched rooms tho)
– lobby is modern, but rooms are outdated, tiny bathroom
– yes, I believe you have to pay for parking, but thank goodness we didn’t have a car
– hallways smelled musty
the PROS:
– it cost us $ 5 roundtrip to take the bus to and from Miami Int.‘l Airport… Departing, the bus stop is literally in front of Days Inn which was convenient
– the boardwalk is directly behind the pool. You’re steps away from the ocean, too. Get the ocean-​front view and request a high floor. Everything is walking-​distance.
– the front desk was very accommodating. Mantha provided us with such great service and even checked us in early so we could rest.
– cheap
So yeah, if you don’t plan on staying cooped up in your room on a beach vacation (who does?), this place fulfills your basic sleep/sh*t/shower needs without breaking your bank account.

Cold room that make me freeze at night. Do not have air conditioner. Broken beds and dirty bathroom. Do not hold luggages after you check out. Will never come again.

You do not want to stay here. The hotel smells and the customer service is horrible. You are better off spending a little extra on a nicer hotel down the street.
Parking is ridiculous.

I came here with a friends to celebrate one of our friend’s receiving his MBA.
This is the WORST hotel experience I have EVER had. I couldn’t even fathom an experience this bad…
The sheets were ripped and dirty. There was hair from other customers on the pillows and the sheets had stains! So nasty! The water went out for hours without notice so we had no showers or toilets. Obviously people still had to use the restroom so all the rooms and halls smelled like crap from all the shit sitting stagnant in the stalls. Parking was unorganized and a hassle. $ 30.00 a night and they still made us call the front desk for entry to the parking lot! The piping broke and flooded the rooms which made the room smell like a sewer! It soaked my friend’s luggage and he had to get it dry cleaned — did they pay for it? No. The front desk clerk was disorganized and didn’t handle the check in process properly. The keys kept deactivating because of the confusion at check-​in, so we had to keep getting new cards at the front desk throughout our stay. When we complained about the soaked rooms, they said it was our fault for not letting them into the rooms. EXCUSE ME?! It is not our fault the piping broke in your dump of a hotel and of course we’re not sitting in our rooms — we’re on vacation! On our last day we spend the night drinking in their underground bar. Of course, the pipes brake here too and the bar floods to our ankles in water.
… I’m exhausted and stressed just writing this review…

After reading the other reviews here, I wonder if I’ve slipped into an alternate time line, a la «Back to the Future 2.» I don’t recognize the hotel I stayed at from those reviews. All I can think of, since most of the reviews were dated from last winter, is that the hotel was under bad management at the time and that changed afterward.
I didn’t have a car during my stay in Miami Beach so I can’t speak toward parking problems or the price of garages. There did seem to be very convenient bus service up and down the beach but we walked wherever we went.
Okay, the hotel. Large — clean — room. The air conditioning was too cold for us when we got to our room but we easily adjusted it to our comfort. Bathroom was bright and clean as well.
The staff was friendly and courteous.
There is a pool in back of the hotel surrounded by lounge chairs and small tables with a bar/​lunch hut at one end. We didn’t eat there so can’t comment on the quality of the food but people around us were enjoying it and I never heard anyone complain.
The boardwalk that runs up and down Miami Beach is directly behind the hotel accessed by a small gate beyond the pool. There is access to the beach itself right there also.
There is free wifi. It could be stronger, don’t count on streaming video or anything like that, but it’s fine for reading a NY Times on line and e-​mail.
One thing I did appreciate, being a great coffee drinker, was the free coffee in the lobby. There was the usual single cup coffee maker in the room, the same one that appears in all hotels I have ever used, but I have always found that pretty much useless, so I was down to the lobby for coffee a lot.
Another convenience that doesn’t relate directly to the hotel but may be useful information is the Miami Beach Airport Flyer. This is an express bus from Miami International Airport to Miami Beach for a fare of $ 2.65. You reach it at one end of the airport near the car rental area. At the top of the escalator are banks of machines to dispense the fare tickets and there is always someone there to help you. If you will be returning to the airport later, get a round-​trip fare. The bus stopped a block from the hotel on the trip in and stopped directly in front of the hotel on the trip back. You can Google it for more info. It is definitely a money saver over other methods of airport transportation.
So. .. no problems here. We had a great stay and would definitely return.

charming hotel, a bit old fashioned, close to the beach and with a nice pool. very helpful front desk.

First off, this is not a resort. It is not a spa, it is not a 4 or 5 star hotel so don’t expect plush towels and the latest furniture and accessories.
This is an old high rise Days Inn motel in the sky, which, if you are lucky, may provide you with some amazing views. But who goes to Miami Beach to stay in the room???
The bad:
*It is an older room, think 1980s decoration. However, it did have a modern flat screen TV.
*The walls are a little thin so if you are a light sleeper, maybe not the best place. *WiFi is not so hot the higher up you are.
*There is no parking except that at some place across the street for like $ 28 a day.
The good:
*It was a very LARGE room with a walk in closet. Maybe these were studio apartments back in the day.
*I had asked for an ocean view room on a high floor and I got what I asked for. *The bed was comfortable and clean, no complaints. The bathroom was a little small but again, I don’t go on vacation to spend a lot of time in the bathroom.
*The room itself was VERY spacious.
*The LOCATION is excellent! Close to the beach, walking distance to Miami Beach businesses.
*GREAT view (if you ask for it and get it)
My advice:
1. Book EARLY!!! I got a $ 242 room for $ 72 by booking 5 months in advance on the daysinn website. Do it! You will feel this is a GREAT value compared to a rip off. It does not feel like a $ 200 room.
2. Bring your confirmation with the price you booked the room for. They tried to charge me $ 242 when I checked in but once I furnished proof, they gladly gave me the quoted rate (after expressing incredulity at the rate).
3. If you are able to walk and DO have a car, park at the Miami Beach City Parking lot at Sheridan Ave and W. 42^nd St — it’s $ 8 a day and just a 10 – 15 minute walk from the property. If you are staying at a Days Inn in Miami Beach like I was, I am thinking this $ 20 saving may mean something to you and the little walk was actually pleasant.
I did not spend a lot of time at the hotel amenities (pool/​beach), it was unfortunate that I was there during a very brisk odd cold spell but over all this place is AVERAGE and if you can get an ocean view for under $ 150, it is not bad.
Again, if you are the kind of diva that wants plush amenities and baby butt soft towels, why the heck are you entertaining staying at a Days Inn???

Walls are paper thin, there is no temperature control of the rooms, just off, low, medium, and high air flow. Don’t stay here.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed at. A motel 6 would have been a better option. I will never stay at a Days Inn for as long as I live. This place needs to be teared down and rebuilt because the rooms are really awful. Bad plumbing, broken fixtures in room, smelly carpets, cockroaches everywhere, bathrooms are old, staff is incompetent and could care less about their guests, no parking anywhere near the hotel, thin walls, previous guests hair everywhere, yellow water coming out of faucets.

Where do I even begin? This was a complete nightmare experience and the staff was not friendly at all!

My job consists of constantly traveling on business and in the 5 years plus in my profession I have never experienced an experience this terrible.
I highly advise you never stay here. They couldn’t pay me enough to come back here again that’s for sure!

–Roaches crawling on bar by the pool
–Fleas in room
–Housekeeping left pubic hairs on mirrors after cleaning room
–Phone volume didn’t work staff didn’t care

This doesn’t even deserve a star. Worst hotel experience ever. The rooms smelled horrible, we didn’t have water for an entire day and the phone didn’t work. Told hotel staff the phone wasn’t working and all they did was stare in my face and shrugged their shoulders.
Never staying here again.

I stayed at this hotel for 4 days. Worst experience ever. The room was bad, they had no service and BEWARE of parking. Everyday I had to wake up at 6:30am to go pay the parking meter. Some of my belongings were also stolen from the hotel premises. This is the worst hotel I stayed in my life. The location is close to nothing. All the parties are in South Beach. This is the worst location. You end up taking the taxi which becomes very expensive. Do not stay at this hotel if you are going to Miami to party or have a good time. They CHARGE YOU EXTRA $ 10 everyday for NO REASON.

Don’t waste your money. You have to park in a garage across the road for $ 25 a night! The rooms are sub par, the hallways smelled, no breakfast, wifi was worthless, showers didn’t drain and had mildew.
You’re better off staying somewhere else!

Staying at this hotel for a week with my daughter which I paid for my credit card rewards.
There was a lot of construction work being done around the hotel at the time of my arrival (11:00pm) from the airport. Parking was impossible and the $ 26 a day parking offered by the hotel were all taken. So I resorted to the parking garage across the street.
The staff was friendly but the first room they put us in had no air conditioning and it crappy. They said they were going to send a maintenance person to address the problem. I called back requesting a room change considering how late it was and how tired we were. So they placed us in a second room.
The AC Was working fine — room was motel like.
Pool didn’t look clean. Have to to pay 12 bucks for breakfast. Considering it didn’t cost me anything, I was ok with it.

Never — Ever — Ever stay here. If you want to have a good time and want service and a clean and safe place — This is not the place — If you want to save a few bucks (or think you could save a few bucks — you won’t — NOTHING WORS HERE! Especially the staff — If you want rude service (of the Non-​english speaking variety), elevators that dont work, safes that don’t work, dirty rooms, over priced, NO PARKING — BE AFRAID BE VERY AFRAID. O h yeah — they give you a nice goodbye and overcharge your credit card when you leave also.

I read a ton of reviews before deciding whether to stay here or not and even with all the mixes reviews, i decided to stay and i didn’t regret it. We stayed july1st-​july5th 2012
THE HOTEL NEEDS WORK. asap.
the lobby is surprisingly beautiful, very clean and modern. The elevator is comic, the floor indicator light skips floors and sometimes stays on 6 for like 3 minutes and then just JUMPS to the first floor. it makes loud noises and takes a while to arrive but it got me up and down for 3 days so DEAL WITH IT. The halls are plain and the room doors are all dinged up and ugly, but they ope, close and lock SO DEAL WITH IT.
The room.
we got a king room with an ocean view and thats what made the WHOLE DAMN THING WORTH IT!!! (i’ll post a picture) There were broken floor tiles in the bathroom and everything’s kinda old but it’s all pretty clean so DEAL WITH IT. the bed’s comfy and the furniture is nice. no spots on the carpet, walls, drapes and SPECIALLY nothing on the sheets.
The outside
the pool deck was cool, nice landscape, and the palm trees provide nice shade. THE POOL BAR is horrible!!! we got a strawberry daiquiri and a pina and they were not up to my standards, the bar is literally falling apart, check out the fish tank, and expensive too. The pool was ok but say away from the edges because the dirty water is collected in there and its GROSS!!! but at least the pool is open till wee hrs of the morning. The beach outside the hotel is amazing, there are beach chair rentals ($ 30 for 2 chairs and a sun umbrella) & jet-​ski rentals.
They def need to renovate but they must be doing something right because i actually would come back again.
TIPS: BRING YOUR OWN TOWELS because the ones they provide are like sand paper, they hurt your skin, even more if its sensitive from being in the sun. AND PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND BRING YOUR OWN TOILET PAPER TOO because they have that cheap shit that rips and clings-​YUCK!
PARKING across the st is not too expensive, $ 26 after 16 hrs or parking.

The bad:
The bathroom has mold on the ceiling.
The caulking around the tub is dry rotted away and full of mold as well.
The faucets in the tub and sink must be original, both leak and are nearly impossible to turn any more.
The throne already had someone else’s tracks in it.
The curtain backings are rotted, allowing random spots of sunshine to pierce through.
The damp, dark, dingy café allows smoking, and since I am allergic, I couldn’t eat in there.
Both chairs in my room have period blood stains and other stains on them.
No fridge or microwave in room, or anywhere for that matter.
Parking is $ 30 a day, and is a couple buildings away.
Lots of noise from the hallway, plus the door is rather loose and rattles often.
No shuttle service.
That elevator… Let’s just say it has quite the personality of its own.
The good:
The AC works well and blows cold.
Got a decent price.
Located on the beach.

When you pull in front of the main lobby, you go up a steep and narrow driveway so you may have to park in the front of the building on the street to sign in. Once inside the lobby, you think you’re staying at a luxury hotel for a Days Inn. It’s very fancy and clean. But once you step on the elevator that all changes. It’s as slow as the Seven Year Itch. Once you get to your floor, the place is on the dumpy side. Our room was spacious, however, it was quite dated and the bathroom and it’s fixtures were in desperate need of new everything. It was a decent place but don’t let the fancy lobby fool you! You have to park in a garage across the street that will cost you 20 dollars. There is complimentary coffee in the rooms and in the lobby. Coffee is good!

Don’t get me wrong, this Days Inn fulfilled its role as a crash pad after a very «wet» Sleepless Night. I was able to find a decent online rate in one of the hotels that had rooms available on the very late date In decided to make it a staycation on the beach. My bed was comfortable, the A/​C cold and I liked the fact the bathroom had a massaging shower head.
However, this would not be the place where Pitbull would take his first class girls. For starters, the elevator takes too long for only a 10 story building. You can hear the motor kicking in for the piston to go up, and didn’t stop evenly on my floor. At one point the door got semi-​stuck at the lobby, and myself and another passenger had to manually open it. The outlet cover in the bathroom was also visibly loose, and there wasn’t a complementary buffet (charging $ 10) as has been my experience with these types of hotels.
All in all, an averagely decent place to crash out.
