Great drinks & food for a great price ! 2 huge mojitos for $ 24 during the week and one dollar tacos. You can’t beat it! Best Mexican food on the beach!

Absolutely overpriced. Awful(and super small) not fresh guacamole. They charged the tip without asking. And didn’t told me anything when They gave me the credit card receipt. The bill was not making sense; so I asked. Definitely avoid this place.

The drinks are weak. The chips were stale and the salsa looked like winter tomatoes in June! Keep it moving on Ocean Drive, don’t fall in the tourist trap!

We met some friends here after a day at the beach, so 2 for 1 margaritas sounded awesome after being in the sun all day. I did not try the tacos but according to some of the girls that we met there, they were decent and for $.99, why not, so we decided to order 10 more for the group, as well as some more margaritas. The Michelada Margarita I had was good and I am so glad it was a 2 for 1 because at $ 24.00 bucks a drink, it was pretty expensive. The food and drinks were not my issue with this place though. My whole issue was with the service. It was horrible and I am pretty empathetic to people that work in the service industry, but this was bad, even for me. First off, our server was no where to be found. He kept disappearing inside the restaurant and when we were finally able to flag him down, we ordered our drinks and additional 10 tacos, and proceeded to wait about half an hour before we got our drinks. We waited and waited and waited for our tacos to arrive but after about 45 mins we still had no waiter and no tacos. We were able to flag him down and we just asked for our check and guess what, played the waiting game some more. When we finally got our check we noticed right away that he had charged us for the ten tacos we never received. We mentioned it to him and he did not apologize, did not offer to bring them, nothing, just an «oh well» look on his face. After he took them off, we proceeded to pay and lucky for him the tip was included because we would not have left the 20% they charged for gratuity. Don’t waste your time.

$ 67 for 2 pina coladas and two .99 tacos. LOL! They got us good. Don’t let them get you. STAYAWAY.

I’m so incredibly annoyed with this place. We went to the hostess to be seated, and were immediately. But we sat for 10 minutes outside and no waiter greeted us. There were many around as we tried to get their attention, but no one paid me any kind. We went back to the same hostess to see what was going on and she said she’d figure it out. She talks to the server assigned to our table, he gives us a glance and decided he didn’t want to come to us because he walks the other direction. Never in my life have I ever been disrespected and judged in such a manner by a service person. This is not the way you do business with people. I will not be going back here. Ever

Overall great place for super cheap tacos. Who can beat 99 cent tacos?! Also what got our attention was the server telling us drinks were only $ 12 for the huge glasses. My husband and I each got our own drink. His was tamarind pineapple margarita and mine was oceano azul. It was delicious and strong but not too strong. Only reason why they didn’t get a perfect score was the service. It simply took way too long to get our drinks its like how long does it take to make drinks. Like really? It was ridiculous. I only stayed as long as I did because tacos were dirt cheap and we got two big drinks for the price of 1. Other than that I would have not bothered coming.

I came here last week with a few friends for the $ 1 tacos. DARWIN was amazing, he was personable, attentive and kind. The tacos were great and the drinks were even better but the real highlight was Darwin. I hope the management/ownership here appreciate Darwin as much as we did that day!

The chips and dip were amazing and my caipirinha was really strong which I enjoyed but the tacos were not the best. Overall great spot and atmosphere though. Right on Ocean Drive in the heart of South Beach. Definitely great for a quick bite and drink and hit up the bars afterwards! Everything is right there and super convenient.

I am a HUGE fan of Mexican food so when my friends and I saw Down N Dirty Tacos on Ocean Drive because of their 99 cent tacos. We all ordered water because we had already been drinking at the beach. The tacos they had for 99 cents were chicken and pork — The pork tacos were FANTASTIC and the chicken tacos were just bland. I’m also a HUG fan of chicken wings so I ordered them and they were also good. We went on another day and I ordered chips and guacamole — and I didn’t really get much guacamole for how much I paid for it — in New York, for what I paid, I’d get a big bowl. I’m iffy about recommending Down N Dirty but it’s definitely worth a try.

Wish I read the reviews before sitting down and ordering. Definitely pass on this place. Btw, $ 24 for bottom shelf drinks is a rip off even by south beach standards.

The service here was horrendous. Zero stars. Had to ask for the basics(like silverware) and every time we’d ask for something, it took at least 5 minutes for our server to get back. The food was less than advertised. I got hooked on the 99 cent tacos. I figured they would be small, and they were, but they had cabbage instead of the promised lettuce, and almost no cheese. Also, the margaritas are $ 24 each. Granted, they are bug, but at most places, a grande margarita might run 10 bucks. Thankfully, I skipped that and got a Corona — which came with no lime, which I then had to ask for, which took 5 minutes. I was really disappointed in this place. Skip it.

We were strolling along after a day at the beach and were lured in by the giant margaritas. The margaritas were 2 for 1 and tasty. We should have stopped there but drinking caused us to get the munchies so we indulged in some guacamole and a couple of their $.99 tacos. We ate ever bite and then asked for waters, which came in plastic cups. The food was one level above Taco Bell but we were there for the atmosphere and drinks. Once the bill came it was discovered that we were charged $ 1 for each water order and that tip was already included. Felt like we had been taken. The location was not worth the hassle or the fun drinks.

Wish this place would have been much better but unfortunately it was a complete let down. We ordered delivery from here after the marathon hoping for some authentic tacos. When our delivery person arrived he immediately handed us the bag and took the tolip and ran back down the hallway. When we opened the bag we were missing an entrée. We called the business two times with no answer and the third time finally reached someone. In the meantime we ate the tacos we had(chicken al pastor) which honestly tasted like dried out turkey on soggy tortillas. That was it — chicken and tortilla, no other normal al pastor toppings. They were so bland and useless I chose NOT to eat them after running 26.2 miles and having insane hunger. The grilled corn tasted like toilet water. When a second delivery person arrived with the missing food he deliberately asked for ANOTHER tip. So we were charged for a delivery fee and forced to tip the delivery people twice. I would avoid this place unless you are hungover and likely to just vomit your food back up later.

We went here for drinks. For the price we paid I wish there was more alcohol in our drinks.

I want to clarify the four stars before we get started. Our tab was around 34 dollars. That, by itself, is a Miracle along Ocean. So, let’s talk food and drinks. We were led in by a free shot. Not top shelf tequila, but not the the bar mat either. The drinks we ordered had some punch and were tasty. Tacos were as little late, but for 99 cents, we’re good. This is a great place if you are starting or ending a night. The inexpensive tacos are good, for the price.

We ate at «Down N Dirty tacos and tequila» for lunch on Monday afternoon. This restaurant is located right on Ocean drive and advertises $ 0.99 tacos(chicken or pork) with purchase of one of their large drinks($ 22 each, including pina coladas, margaritas, mojitos). We were seated at a table right in front of the street traffic, and ordered one of the large mojitos in a margarita glass($ 22). The drink was tasty and contained a noticeable amount of alcohol, but also had a lot of ice In it. Worth the price? Likely not. We had 4 of the $ 0.99 tacos(2 chicken, 2 pork), and they tasted as previous Unilocal reviewers reported — dry. The tortillas were also only barely warmed and would have been better if warmer. We also had an order of 3 shrimp tacos($ 15) which came with a side of rice, beans, guacamole, sour cream, and salsa. — these were tastier than the $ 0.99 tacos and far more filling. Our waitperson worked hard to please her customers. While we were planning on tipping her generously for her service, it wasn’t until we received the bill that we saw that there is a 20% server charge added automatically to the bill. Interesting surprise. We likely wouldn’t eat here again, but had an interesting South Beach experience for $ 55.

Fantastic drinks, strong! We came back today after yesterday tacos and drinks. Cocolacious mojito and mango mojito were great! Tacos are only $.99 cents! They had chicken and pork tacos and we ate some 15 tacos. Great deal on this ocean drive for sure. Servers were also friendly. They prepared a special drink for our daughter.

The most disgusting Mexican food ever. The chicken tacos were tiny shreds of skin, no meat. The guac for $ 9 is only 2 ounces. The salsa for $ 6 is only 2 ounces and tasteless. The skinny margarita is made with sweet/sour mix! Ohhh and the chips were stale. I will not return here.

We were vacationing in Miami Beach and walk by this place that offers dollar taco. Having already ate somewhere else, five of us stopped by just so we could try a few of them. Tacos were not good, really dry! But what can you expect from dollar tacos?! We ordered 4 tacos and they ended up charging us 5 tap waters as well, total up to $ 13! No one has mentioned a minimum charge nor have we seen a sign. We were there a total of 10 minutes maybe! I feel like they should at least explained why they charged what they did. Overall, not a good experience!
