This place is a couple of blocks off the ocean. They have some nice tables, but I’ve been to places with nicer ones. It wasn’t crowded because I went during the day in the middle of the week, which was a plus. Who wants someone on top of you when you are trying to shoot some pool? The service was adequate and the place was clean. I had a couple of drinks and played some rounds of pool. Prices were reasonable but this place is kind of small for a pool hall. Overall, nice place but nothing special.

This place is so bomb ass. bartenders and staff are very nice. the walk around with a bottle and offer $ 2 shot pours which is really cool. they have pool tables and punching machines. the BEST part for sure is the drink prices. this is a great place to pre game before you go out because its 2 for $ 10 drinks(sometimes they only do it for pineapple juice). bartender tried to rip me off last time so don’t let that happen. and tip. also chalk is next door which is a cool lounge for after

This place has been my favorite billiard lounge for a while now. I used to come here once in a blue moon, now I’m a regular. The staff is super friendly and courteous and the beverages are consistently inexpensive with different drink specials daily. The pool tables are clean and level. They also have bar video games and the boxing game which are pretty interesting if the aren’t tables available. This place is a must for locals and tourists.

Reasons why I love this place: — Super friendly staff — Consistently cheap and well-made drinks — Pool tables are fast and have new felt on them(as of last week) — No hassle, friendly, locals kinda spot — Big screen projects sports games and cool movies all night long — Good music — No lines, industry nights, and overly-affordable drink specials I can’t frill this review up quite simply because it’s a no-frills pool hall!

This entire review is going to be an inside joke to myself and anyone else who ever frequented Mango’s in West Virginia circa 2004. Rest assured the rest of you Unilocalers will find it entertaining as well. I’m comparing a lounge in Miami to a hole in the wall, Vegas-wannabe bar in West Virginia. Eight years ago. Comedy. Anyway, let me paint you a picture of the façade of this lounge. Red velvet ropes and brass poles trim the dilapidated entrance, sporting several coats of fading black paint. A no-nonsense gentleman in a butler ensemble greets patrons at the roped off entryway. He’s no Trout, usually high and letting us crazy eighteen-year-old kids in with thirty-year-old IDs from women of other races, but few other doorman can compare. Those ropes, typically intended to keep the riff raff at bay from an exclusive bar or lounge actually lead to a pool hall, complete with video games. And no, those games do not involve Wii. I’m talking big, bulky, hulking machines the 1980’s threw up long ago. Once inside, the Wal-Mart-brand tabletop fans and house plants add a nice homey feel that offsets the startling vibrating bass, and ultra skinny Minny selling cans of beer out of metal tubs by the door. Beyond Minny, a couple pool tables rest where men who look like they understand the definition«to shank» carry on intense games that probably end in some sort of weapon exchange. The actual bar is sound enough and holds everything I need. Sugar-free RedBull, and tequila I know, it’s eery how much Felt and Mango’s mirror one another. . I found myself getting misty-eyed at how much Felt reminded me of my beloved Mango’s, either that or my allergies to cigarette smoke are back in full constrait. I would actually come back here just to absorb the irony again. The velvet ropes kill me. But also because the entire staff were pleasant as peaches and the proprietor really took care of my party.

I love Felt. I love the beach, the atmosphere is always great. The music was pretty good. Beers weren’t $ 1 for the times that I’ve gone :( That would’ve been sweet. Yeah it’s a little more pricer than your average pool hall but I don’t mind. It’s on the beach, what do you expect! PS: Cougarville on Thursday nights apparently.

I see I’m not the only one with lukewarm feelings about this place. It’s a pretty interesting place but it’s definitely hit or miss. The time I went the music was good — a good mix of old school rap and fun dance music. It was the fourth of July and since it was a Sunday, beers were only $ 1. Not bad! Except we ended up spending all our money on a $ 12 pool table… That’s pretty expensive. Oh, and that was per hour. The staff was pretty nice, can’t complain there. Although my boyfriend left his ID there and it took him a week to get it back because the manager was never there and/or never called him back. And good luck finding a correct phone number for this place. We went to get his ID and asked for their phone number so we could check back. They told us they couldn’t give us «personal information.» …we weren’t asking for the manager’s cell phone number… we were asking for the business’s phone number. It was kinda weird… But when we did finally get his ID back, they were very nice. I might come back. If only for the $ 1 beers.

Cons First: 1. Music blows. They need to stop living off someone’s specific iTunes, unless they durn on the DJ feature for people to vote. OR put in a jukebox for people to choose. 2. $ 12 hour for a pool table, 1 hour minimum, but you can have any number with you as long as one person foots the bill. This is pricey for even NY pool halls. 3. Lack of variety in brews. They have a full bar, but only a few draft beers. Not a major problem. They usually have an ok drink special. Not sure what the regular prices are. Pros: 1. Open to anyone. And if you are the only one there, you can chat up 3 of the staffers there(the other 3 are creepy and act snobby). The three I talked with were really cool with me, the others were really not interested in talking to customers at all costs. Lots of seating area. 2. Cheaper drinks than the other place. Way to pre-party for the clubs or other places. 3. Only pool hall with real tables and nice new sticks within a few miles of where I was staying.

I used to come to Felt all the time on Sundays, and I came here again last night(a Tuesday), both odd drinking days, but nevertheless I was still surrounded amongst other alcoholics. It has never been packed packed, but thats alright because I wouldn’t want to battle the crowd for a spot at the bar. They have about 8 pool tables once you enter, and a row of loungey, couches on the side. You can also sit at the bar, or the high stools circling a longer bar table with a strip pole in the center of it. A chill place thats probably the best option to go to if you arrive to the beach early and your bar of choice, or club has not opened yet. Good music, pool tables, cheap drinks, and a strip pole? I wonder what it’s like on a GOOD night.

This place is pretty chill, I came on a Tuesday night so I am sure its not really an «On» night. They have a bunch of pool tables but its $ 12 an hour, for a normal pool hall thats kind of nuts, but for one on Washington Ave. I guess that makes sense. When I went they had decent drink specials, mostly girl/fruity drinks but whateves. They have 2 bars here, in the back and the side so it is pretty easy to get a drink. They also have some arcade games. In front of the back bar they had a pole from the seating the area to the ceiling so some f’d up girls took advantage and got all slutty on it. I would come back here but as a backup to something else.

What an awful awful place with a complete lack of any sense of customer service. We were shooed in when the four of us gals were walking by with the offer of a free drink on the house. As we were standing around at the side of the bar a little after drinking our free shot, all of a sudden I felt the other 3 girls fall on top of me. Apparently a quite large and heavy wooden sign that was propped up against the wall had fallen onto the girls. It not only created enormous welts on the girls’ legs(that even a few weeks later is still just as, if not more, purple) but also dug into the skin of their legs and back which caused them to bleed. We immediately talked to the bouncer and he had the audacity to give us an extremely annoyed look and claim that the sign couldn’t have fallen since it was heavy and propped up against the wall-no apologies given either. We then just asked for a first-aid kit, or at least alcohol wipes. He kept us waiting for at least 10 minutes in which we never even received anything. Unbelievable. If there aren’t any significant changes made to this place, I highly doubt this place will last very long post lawsuit, which at this rate probably won’t take much time to happen.
