The service here is phenomenal! The moment you sit down you are greeted with servers presenting an array of breads, cheeses & meats for you to try. Everything is so flavorful. The octopus salad = A+; T=the veal A+; the rigatoni A+. Free limoncello is offered after dinner as an apéritif. The manager comes by and checks on you. Have not been blown away by a restaurant in a while. Highly recommend this place.

We have been here a couple times for lunch now. Great food. They also have a great price fix lunch menu. Very good wine list. Décor is nice. Service good. I highly recommend it if you are in the area and want Italian.

Not a fan. Service was great. Food started out well, but horrendously overpriced for the quality of what you receive. I ordered the truffle ravioli to start which was good although the ravioli had a crunch like they were frozen… I had the Filet with spicy tomato sauce as my main course and it was quite simply gross. The filet was literally drenched in a tomato sauce that was nothing like the description in the menu. Was supposed to have some level of spice and had none I addition to a number of random things mixed in that weren’t listed in the description of the dish. I would suggest Il Gabbiano over this place as pricing is similar but food is wayyyyyyy better. I will give them credit for the cheese, salami, and zucchini they place on the table upon arrival it was delicious. I tried everyone else’s dish at our table and was also significantly underwhelmed.

Just got back from our Miami Spice lunch from this joint and it was incredible! Located off Alton Rd &1st Street in Miami, the place is quaint and sophisticated to say the least. Valet parking is available as well as street & self parking behind the building. We were sat down immediately(had a reservation for 2pm) and the waiter brought us complimentary pecorino Romano cheese from a giant block as well as a few types of breads, pepperoni, zucchini, mussels & bruschetta. All amazing! I ordered the Salmon with mushrooms on a bed of broccoli rabe(the rabe wasn’t my favorite, it was very bitter) it was extraordinary! Perfectly cooked locking in all the flavors! The mash potato side order was an excellent side order. Dessert was tiramisu with a custard like moose and berries, another favorite! Each bite was better than the previous one. I highly recommend this location during the day, there’s less traffic and more parking. The staff is really friendly and fantastic at their jobs.

Came here for Miami Spice for brunch. It wasn’t too busy, lots of room and no need for a reservation. We have been to other locations of this chain and they always do a good job. The service was 5 stars, the food was a solid 4 stars, and finally the staff was friendly and helpful. The décor is very white and upscale. I was the scrub in shorts :)

This place is amazing. I’m a huge fan of everything here from the food to the service. They really made you feel like you were special. Their food is fresh and cooked right I front of you. It’s a very intimate setting. I loved it and will definitely be back here.

Great spot — especially for Miami spice. If you go outside of Miami spice it’s definatively on the pricy side, but if you have the money it is worth it. Service is world class, food excellent. Very casual and clean ambience. If you like spending money for food I highly recommend this place!

A Miami Spice review: When I think South Beach, I generally think of swanky shops and restaurants where patrons — dressed in anything from shorts and sandals to full-on suits — give off an air of utmost importance. It’s what makes South Beach, well… South Beach. But Il Mulino was a welcome surprise. It definitely still adhered to that upscale trendy look, with all-white furnishings and giant framed covers of Vogue circa 1950, and the dress code was very much South Beach-y. But the atmosphere was warm, the staff was genuinely friendly and the SoFi restaurant didn’t have that pretentious feel usually associated with South Beach Before they even handed us menus, they started us off with bruschetta, fresh parmesan cheese with a housemade balsamic reduction and presented us with a selection of bread on a silver platter — literally. We did the Miami Spice lunch menu, a total steal at $ 23 for a prix fixe 3-course meal. The mussels and meatballs were both great appetizers, the salmon was fresh, and the tiramisu was perfection. Will definitely be returning again.

I have to say I had an amazing late lunch here. The food was great as well as the service . The octopus was delightful as well as the truffle fries. Calamari was nice and crispy . But the lemon cello at the end was the best part of the meal. Wow! Your gonna love it !

The food is very delicious, it’s a great place to eat and enjoy but the hostess was not on her section and there was no one to cover her. We set thanks to the busser Orlando who after 1015min brought us the menu too. There was no waitress coming at all, so the busser brought her too. She took the order. The main course came right after the appetizer was served. The waitress never came back to offer more drinks or to ask for the food. Our glasses were empty On the end, another person brought us the check. Compliments to the Kitchen team. Point out to the Manager to train his employee to provide better service. We paid 20% tip thanks to the Busser & the delicious food and knowing the waitress needs to be tip. But for the tip they have to provide some service.

This place is awesome all the way. Bartender is a delight. I was waiting for a large table to arrive and it was great to hangout at the bar. Yohan was the waiter and this guy is also great. I ordered the Sole Dover and tried the Pasta a la Vongole both were outstanding. This is a smaller version than Sunny Isles and I like this location more.

This is one of the best Italian restaurants that I’ve been to since I lived in Miami. My husband took me there for my 36th birthday and it was a very wise choice because I wouldn’t want to spend my birthday anywhere else with him. The place is very romantic and the service is impeccable. As appetizers, we had the Vongole Casino(Baked clams), which was«to die for» literally. As for the entrees, I had the Seafood Ink Pasta which was part of the daily special items in the menu. It was the best pasta dishes I’ve ever eaten in my life. The chef truly knew what he was doing adding all the delicious seafood to it. My husband took the Snapper with the clams and shrimp which was also delicious. To end that perfect night, we had the homemade Tiramisu which was the most dedicate deserts I’ve had in years. I would definitely go there again as this will become one of the best restaurants on my top list.

Overall an amazing experience from start to finish the staff was undoubtedly attentive and welcomed us with open arms They brought us a few things to try at the beginning of dinner, diff breads, pepperoni, bruschetta etc. I ordered the champagne ravioli. be prepared for the orgasm that your mouth will have the décor is minimal, simple and very art deco. The ambiance is upbeat and elegant. They have a great selection of wines and champagne I really enjoy my time here and had a splendid dinner. Tiramisu is very tasty and made to perfection. Thank you to the il mulino staff for delivering a great presentation and a dining experience I will never forget

This is defiantly one of the new best Restuarants in miami. Great food, service, and atmosphere. Music was great but a little but loud. Right when you sit down they smother your table with free appetizers. Parmesan cheese, bruschetta, salami, and garlic bread. They serve all pasta in a half portions, and the half portion is a a great size. We had a New York steak special and porcini mushroom ravioli Will eat here many more times.

The epitome of dining, service and ambiance. Il Mulino never disappoints, and it truly feels like an authentic Italian restaurant with a sleek modern twist. It’s not an inexpensive experience, but it’s definitely worth every penny The atmosphere is very sophisticated, but still warm and welcoming. The servers are attentive, knowledgeable and very personable. Be careful not to fill up on the complimentary bread and bruschetta — you’ll want to save room for my favorite dish, the pasta with baby clams.

In a word: disappointing. Which may be because my expectations were too high, but for a dinner that was $ 300 for two people, I think high expectations are justified, and it’s not as though my expectations have not been met in other lovely restaurants(Il Gabbiano comes to mind) — so I know I’m not being unreasonable. I was impressed upon entering. The restaurant is beautiful — white on white on white — and has a vibrant feel when you walk in. It is not quiet — but I like a lively space — so that works for me. The dining room is small and intimate — and there are two tables between the bar and the window outside of the main dining room area. The hostess was gracious and seated us immediately. It started out at five stars for first impressions. I had called over a week before to make the reservation, and told them that it was our one-year wedding anniversary. The reservation-taker said she would make a note. Despite this, and the fact that other two-person couples were seated in the dining room at four-person tables(so that they could sit next to each other, rather than across), we were taken to a small two-person table outside of the main dining room, between some very loud people at the bar, and the window. The people at the bar had some friends come in — no seats for them, so they stood in the gap between the bar and the table, basically in our laps. I kept trying to believe that the window-placement was supposed to be a more intimate spot, but given the proximity to the bar, and that my direct view was of the door and the hostess-stand, it was, at best, a miscalculation on the restaurant’s part. We asked the waitress if we could move to the main dining room. We explained that it felt isolated and too bar-adjacent. She came back with the manager who answered the question by saying«if there is anything we can get for you, please let us know.» An answer without answering… The waitress apologized and said that she tried. I wanted so badly to love the food. I had been so excited to come here since it opened, and it had taken all my will-power to wait until the anniversary dinner to come. We were offered breads — I had a spicy one which was full of oil, and an Italian bread, which was cold. No butter or olive oil with the bread. Complimentary garlic crostini arrived — also oily. The parmesan was very good, oddly not served with a balsamic. The complimentary bruschetta was delicious — but accompanied by a mussel that my husband correctly declared«tastes like nothing.» The waiter came to take our order before we were given menus, and then apologized that he had confused us with another table. We ordered asparagus with a Dijon vinaigrette. When it came out, I noted that it did not appear to have any vinaigrette on it. The waiter assured me that it did, but then brought«extra» vinaigrette — none of which had been on the asparagus initially — and confirmed my original hypothesis. The asparagus was cooked perfectly, the vinaigrette was a little heavy, but fine. We also ordered calamari. The sauce was very good, but the breading on the calamari was dull and flavorless — it tasted like every other calamari I’ve had, where I was expecting something special. Main courses: my husband got the angel hair arrabiata — it was very very good. Not the best I’ve had, but as close to the mark as the restaurant came all night. I ordered chicken picatta. It was dry. Stick to your teeth dry. The pea and prosciutto accompaniment was pretty good, but couldn’t save the dry chicken. I ate two bites. When they took the plate, they asked if I’d like it packed — I said no. He asked if I did not like it. I told him that it was just too dry. He apologized and took it away, but no further mention was made of it. The manager, who while otherwise working, at that moment was dancing at the front of the restaurant with the hostesses, did not appear to have been made aware. No anniversary dessert was served — which, because I have been spoiled by excellence in other restaurants, and the reservation-taker said she was noting the anniversary — I had sort of expected. In fact, no mention was made of the anniversary at all, so I really don’t know what useful purpose was served by «making a note of it.» The bill was $ 300(including tip, and a $ 100 bottle of wine(which was delicious)), which had been expected. What was not expected was that I would leave the $ 300 dinner hungry. No adjustment was made for the uneaten chicken. Honestly, an apology from the manager would have sufficed. I do not doubt that others have had good experiences here. If I had come for lunch and just had the angel hair, I would have been very satisfied. Other dishes may be very good. But because of the varying quality, the menu seems hit or miss, and the food is nowhere near the quality I expected. For an anniversary dinner that I had been looking forward to for months, it missed the mark by a mile.

Bad reviews? What? Are you people crazy??? I was in Miami with a friend of mine in town from Brazil and somehow I saw that Il Mulino opened in Miami. I was pretty shocked that I didn’t hear more buzz about this but we decided to check it out for lunch. They had a ridiculous special I think it was like $ 24 dollars for a 3-course prix fixe menu. I started with the octopus salad(which was extra) and it was HEAVENLY. I could eat octopus ALL day long. Legit. It’s my favorite and this is a well known fact! This octopus was PERFECTLY cooked and I mean that! A must-order 100%. I had the langoustines with risotto for my main and some kind of chocolate thing for dessert(can’t remember). Honestly, the value for money was insane. We kept looking at each other waiting for someone to come up to us and be like«ha ha just kidding your meal is really going to be $ 400». Nope that didn’t happen and our meal was not $ 400. I did add the extra things and so mine was more expensive but they put it in font that you can actually read and didn’t try to scam you about it(which I liked). The service was okay and the restaurant was gorgeous. It is SOOOOO different from the typical Il Mulino’s that I have been to as this one is ultra modern and I tend to think of Il Mulino as a very traditional restaurant but I like the change. When I am back in Miami, I will definitely go back.

I don’t give 5 star reviews often, but when I do, they are deserved and I will scream it from the rooftops for this place after just one visit. I can’t believe this place has been open for two months and haven’t went yet! I really need to get out more often. Anywho, I stumbled into this place today for lunch and was VERY happy when I left. The front door person was very friendly and let us look over the menu before we sat down. They had a lunch special which is 3 courses and is only $ 25.00. They had everything on there and it all sounded very good. Before we even ordered, the wait staff(as in 3 – 4) came out with fresh parm cheese wheel and carved it for us, along with sliced meats, fresh bread with options and something else that I wasn’t sure what it was but tasted fabulous. It was all very good. As far as dishes, I chose to have the Tomato salad for my first course, very good, great seasoning and the feta cheese in it was very tasty. I had the seafood capellini(I think it was called but it was shrimp, clams, oysters, calamari and scallops in a butter sauce with angel hair)… OMG I’m surprised I didn’t lick the bowl. And a very scrumptious cheesecake for desert with some delectable mousse and berries. again absolutely fabulous. I was so happy I actually posted on FB while I was there to tell everyone they had to come to here, I was so happy, I had to share the gem I found. The place was pretty empty which was fine for me. The music was old school jams like Marvin Gaye and the Pretenders which i like. The design of the place was simple yet classy, white linens and white marble grey bar. With Old Vogue and The New Yorker covers in white frames on the wall. The staff was very attentive and friendly. I will def go back for sure, plus its 2 blocks from my house so perfect. I talked my boss into coming to this place on Saturday night, so yes, going back so soon =)

One might say that if there’s anything the Miami dining scene is full of, it’s high-priced Italian restaurants. Well, Il Mulino most certainly fits into that category. But in no way does that mean that Il Mulino is not worth a visit — it most certainly is. Offering well-executed Italian favorites in a gorgeous white and marble-accented setting that you’d be hard-pressed to believe used to house a favorite Irish pub, Il Mulino New York — South Beach is here to stay. Service is friendly, and we had at least 3 different staff members check in on us during the course of our dinner. Our waiter was eager to share the seemingly-infinite list of specials with us, and had no problem giving us plenty of time to make up our minds. We ended up ordering the vongole oreganata(clams on the half-shell baked with breadcrumbs, white wine, and garlic), the escargot(uniquely served in mushroom caps with a slightly spicy sauce), and the capellini Il Mulino(angel hair pasta, served with pancetta and peas in a vodka cream and black truffle sauce). This was in addition to the bread basket, fried zucchini, salami, parmigiano reggiano, and bruschetta served as we perused the menu. Everything was awesome, with the stand-outs(for me) being the pasta and the escargot. Our total check(including a drink a piece) ran to just over $ 110 total, without tip. Pricey, but worth it for some of the most satisfying Italian food I’d had in a while. Glad to see Il Mulino has finally opened in the old Clarke’s location. While I might not become as frequent a customer as with Clarke’s, I know for certain that I’ll be back.
