Good Cuban food
I love going to more low key spots with cheap prices and huge portions and unlimited cheap drinks! Not here!
We sat outside and enjoyed people watching
I have also sat inside for a romantic dinner
But this is sobe you want to be outside on the beach watching all the beautiful people walk by
This is obviously prime location and a nice spot so you are paying for the shishi price food and atmosphere
Had the skirt steak and ceviche and a Cuban sandwich
I have had better but not this view and location
Good and a mango tropical drink and mojito

My husband is part Cuban and likes the food here. Service here was very bad. 18% gratuity is added automatically to the bill regardless of quality of service. We have been going to this restaurant each time we visit to Miami but this is the last time. I prefer to eat at Versailles on Calle Ocho.

Hands down my favorite meal during my unexpected extended stay in Miami. Right on Ocean so the people watching can be fun if you sit outside. I chose to sit indoors with my group.
I had the passion fruit mojito. Others at the table were the raspberry the mango and the watermelon. Everyone raved about their drink and food which included:
Arroz con pollo
Churrasco
Grilled salmon
Avocado salad
Shrimp skewers
Cuban roasted pork. I had the pork and I have to say it’s the best roast pork I’ve ever had. The flavors were on point!
Even though it was busy, the service did not suffer. When I whispered to the waiter that it was my b/f’s bday he made sure a cake was brought to the table with a candle and the staff singing happy birthday. Nice touch!
Please keep in mind that just about every restaurant in Miami automatically charges an 18% gratuity to your bill.

Busy place on a Saturday night. Live music made for a noisy but fun environment. Service was excellent, Mojito’s were top notch and the food cane quickly, tasted great and was quite filling. $ 135 including tip for plantain chips, a pitcher of mojitos, two entrees (one veggie platter and one arroz con pollo) and one desert. Food quality was great and we would certainly go back.

I usually have a great experience when I frequent Larios but this was a horrible experience for me. We were seated by a host inside of the venue. For 15 minutes, my friend and I waited but no server greeted our table. Tables surrounding ours were greeted and even checked on by other servers but none visited our table. After 20 minutes, we left the venue passing the host, whom watched my guest and I leave and said nothing to us. Larios used to be my favorite restaurant on the beach… I am sad to say that I will never eat here again. I had to give one star since the app would not let me post this review without one.

I absolutely loved the atmosphere. We sat inside, and it was beautiful. We ate around 7pm, it was very crowded, but we had good service. It was very pricy, but you pay for the location. The food was very good. I got a cup of the blackbean soup. It was good. We shared the app that was a sampler of multiple dishes (I forgot what it was called). This was very good. I loved the black bean hummus. We each got the tour De Cuba. It was too much food for me, I could have shared this one, but my bf ate all of his. I would recommend this place.

Delicious! We didn’t expect to find good food along the beach, but this place surprised me. They’re a little on the pricey side ($ 22+ for an entrée), but splurge for the entrees over the sandwiches and order the ropa vieja (this tied with the fried plantains for my favorite foods of this meal) with fried plantains and moro rice. The cuban slow-​roasted pork is also very delicious. My husband said the fried plantains were the best he’d ever had. Also, while I enjoy the clubby Miami vibe everywhere you go, the atmosphere here is much nicer than the others along the beach if you’d like a break from techno music (very simple and classy). Ask for a seat on the second level of the patio for optimal people-​watching and beach-​viewing without having the crowds bump against your chair or hover over your table.

My tips are as follows;
1. Get their Mojito, either regular or virgin, these guys take their already delicious Mojitos and put a pice of actual sugar cane in it.
2. Ask for their Cuban bread, it goes well with anything, especially their award winning pork. I cannot stress this enough, their award winning pork with mojo sauce is damn good.
3. Get their mojo rice and plantains, your choice of crispy or sweet. The sweet are the kind you normally see and is what most people will think when you say plantain. The crispy is fried and then salted. Both are great.
4. Try their truly amazing «award winning pork» with the sides I mentioned and try the pork on the Cuban bread. I also highly enjoyed their skirt-​stake and their seared chicken.
5. Why are you still reading, HURRY UP AND EAT HERE.

One sip of their signature MOJITO, I knew I was in for a treat! Perfectly paired with my beautifully prepared powerful meal: crispy pork & stuffed plantain cups; taste of Cuba; and, rice pudding dessert! Service was at its best; the lively band was a lovely touch; and their ambience brought on a big wow & smile upon my face! This was my first but definitely won’t be my last visit! Cheers!

«Lackluster» doesn’t even begin to cover it. The average rating of 3.5 for this restaurant is way way too high.
The quality of food, though edible, is consistent with an armpit NYC deli. I got the «tour of Cuba» for $ 32 + $ 5 automatic gratuity. $ 40 for an entrée should be consistent with GOOD FOOD. This is HORRIBLE FOOD. It was more accurately a «tour of trays of meat we’re had cooking for 6 hours in the back.»
My wife’s garlic shrimp dish was laughably disgusting.
The service was fine. Can’t complain about that. Staff was exceptional.
This is clearly a case of a restaurant pushing its highest margin products and raping the consumer.
Gloria Estefen is turning over in her grave.
By far the most disgusting restaurant experience here in Miami. Better to spend your time and money at a GOOD restaurant.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

I can’t even begin to describe how IN LOVE I am with this restaurant! I didn’t love Cuban food until I came here! This place is just… WOW!
We stopped at Larios last weekend when we were on a culinary tour, and it was my favorite stop! Not only is the restaurant absolutely gorgeous and bright, but the food was outstanding! We loved it so much that we ended up going back to Larios that night for dinner and ordered so many incredible dishes from their menu. Also one thing I noticed… Larios was the ONLY restaurant on Ocean Dr that didn’t have staff trying to convince us to come into their restaurant. It’s not necessary because they are THAT GOOD!
We ordered their Plantain Chips with Cuban Mojo which was addicting! I could eat that garlic sauce for days. The Cripsy Pork Bites were tender and perfectly flavored — great for sharing. Their Famous Black Bean Hummus tasted like bean dip, but better because it was light and served with plantain chips. The Stuffed Green Plantain Cups were also delicious and perfect for sharing. Great choice if you love plantains. And last, we shared the Tour Of Cuba entrée which allowed us to try all of the Cuban classics! Seriously one of the best dinners I have EVER had.
Service was great. Restaurant was very clean and absolutely gorgeous. The only comment I have is that their mojitos are pretty sweet — but if you like sweet, then you’ll love them!

Ok, unlike last year, service was super fast this year. BOTH times. Of course, we went for lunch but still. Once again, I got the churrasco, maduros, and the white rice. We also got a couple dacquiris and the abuela maria ice cream (yummmm). I really love this place and it’s the only place that I cannot miss any time I am in Miami. In fact, after getting off the cruise ship, I had so much time to kill, I came right back here for lunch.

The coquito mojito was the best drink EVER! Get the pitcher for a steal (average 6 servings) vs a glass for $ 15. The perfect blend of a not to sweet coconut cocktail —
The plantain trio cups were delicious. The tour of Cuba was ok except for the bland over cooked chicken, would definitely dine again.

We stopped here during our South Beach Food tour last weekend. We were served a sample of their Ropa Vieja, Plantain Chips with a garlicky mojito and sangria. My son who is under age had a sugar cane beverage.
I must say that the restaurants that has been renovated looks amazing inside. White and blue.
The service was great not sure if it was because we were part of a food tour or not but the service was outstanding.

They have a Cuban coffee station with an old fashion gold coffee machine (I am sure it’s pretty expensive)
Definitely a must go restaurant if you are looking for high end Cuban food.

This was the first stop of a lovely bachelorette weekend in Miami. Due to some delays at the airport, we were a little late (and flustered) for our dinner reservations, but the staff was extremely gracious.
I loved the lighting and décor in Larios. Some of the large photos on the walls (of Gloria Estefan and her husband) are a little «interesting,» but overall it is a beautiful restaurant
We were pleasantly surprised to see that the Miami Spice menu was available, so half of our group, including me, took advantage of that, while the other half ordered the chimichurri steak and a variety of different appetizers. We shared all the appetizers, and they were definitely my favorite part of the meal. I tried the Crispy Pork Belly, Estefan Combo (bacon-​wrapped stuffed croquettes), Empanadas, and Flatbread. All were delicious.
For my entrée, I had the Lechon Fried Rice. It was just fair, though the plantains were a nice touch. Honestly, I don’t remember what dessert was «mine,» but our group shared the Flan and Natilla, which was basically a vanilla pudding. The desserts were my least favorite.
I stuck to wine, but everyone else shared pitchers of mojitos (mint isn’t my thing). They were served in a festive manner, and it was a great way to start the night. The food at Larios was between a 3 – 3.5, but I felt the service was so great that I upped my rating to a 4. Yes, this definitely has a touristy vibe, but hey, if you’re in South Beach, why not?

I’ve hadn’t had Cuban cuisine since my last visit to Miami Beach which was in the prior millennium. I believe I visited another restaurant owned by Gloria Estefan.
How normal is it for restaurants to require a Facebook check-​in to access their free wifi? How often do folks request a wifi code in lieu of the check-​in since not everyone’s on the site?
I was in the mood for a Cuban drink and ordered a traditional mojito. The waiter immediately asked if I wanted bottled water. That’s when I made the mistake of saying yes. I just came from a place where the water isn’t potable, so I forgot where I am. It was a $ 5 mistake. As soon as I said yes, a server came by to fill my glass with tap water. When my waiter came by with the bottle water, he got rid of the glass filled with tap water. This would be an unthinkable act where I was just 13 hours ago.
I decided to order from the $ 39 price-​fixed menu. The Crispy Pork Belly just melted in my mouth. I swear the caramelized pig fat melted in my mouth. Unfortunately, the Vaca Frita wasn’t anywhere as near favorable. The shredded meat tasted bland. I may have been expecting too much after a week of Ecuadorian cuisine. The grilled onions had more flavor than the beef.
Fortunately, the flan salvaged the dinner. It was as tasty as I expect from a flan with a caramel topping.
What surprised me was the 18% gratuity already added to my check. I expect gratuity to be added for a large group or when the bill is split. Not for a table of one. My philosophy about gratuity is not to include additional if it’s already added. Too bad as I would have provided a better tip as the waiter was doing his best to salvage the disappointing entrée.

Personalmente considero que los platos principales de la cocina cubana son redundantes y con sabores comunes, pero se pone interesante cuando uno prueba las distintas variedades de entradas y cosas ricas para picar.
Larios ofrece un menú amplio de todas esas opciones para picar y además se puede acompañar con tragos muy bien preparados o diferentes cervezas.
El lugar es muy agradable y la atención espectacular.

Usually when I travel, I want ethnic food or something I can’t get at home. My cousins and I stopped at this place because we heard it was good. Asuper friendly waiter also enticed us to have a seat and indulge.
The waiter was a fast talker with limited English. But, he did a great job with suggesting multiple food items and drinks. First off, the drinks were very good. I had a coconut mojito. It was one of the best I’ve had! Two cousins had mango mojitos and the other had a recommended mixed drink that looked like a Long Island iced tea. We all tasted each other’s and found they were strong and good.
I ordered a steamed veggie platter with black beans and plantain. The plantain… just right. mveggies were a bit greasy, but had really good flavors. All of us shared an appetizer platter which included cheeseballs, fried fish, hummus with crispy plantain chips, and bacon wrapped plantain. The hummus was
!! I couldn’t get enough.
Aside from the food, drinks, and excellent waiter, the inside had a nice, elegant décor. It was a pretty cream color and felt refreshing to be in after walking in the hot sun. The bathrooms were down this long marble and stair-​filled hallway. Just gorgeous! Food and drinks were costly, but hey… it was Miami Beach in the summer and I won’t complain.

The indoor seating was very nice. Pretty décor & there was a live cuban band playing.
Great selection of appetizers, entrees & sandwiches. There was only 1 waiter who could understand English it seems & he was very helpful in making the recommendation — The empanadas were delicious. I asked for a virgin pina calada & it was super yummy.

Great restaurant! I went here for dinner with a group on my last night in South Beach.
Stuffed Green Plantain Cups
Tostones rellenos — three crispy plantain cups filled with shrimp criollo, shredded beef and Cuban criollo minced beef. All three were delicious. I especially liked the minced beef.
Cuban Style Steak
Bistec de palomilla — thin tenderized steak seasoned with garlic and mojo topped with onions and parsley. The meat had great flavor. It was a huge portion! I ordered two sides — moro rice and fried sweet plantains which paired well with the steak.
I also ordered a daiquiri which was very refreshing.
I tried the skirt steak and it was delicious. The chimichurri sauce that came with it was amazing. I also tried my friend’s Cuban coffee and it was good and strong.
I liked the modern décor of the restaurant. Larios is a great place to go to for a special occasion. Two big groups seated next to us were celebrating a birthday and graduation.
I definitely recommend this restaurant for great Cuban food in South Beach.

I don’t normally like tourist areas, but when in Miami, you have to experience South Beach.
We were recommended to go to Mango’s Tropical, but we decided we wanted to eat some authentic Cuban food, so we decided to walk around. At one point, we asked a hostess from some random restaurant where to get some good cuban food. She was looking around for her boss and whispered for us to go to Larios On the Beach. That was a huge turning point that night!
The food was amazing! We tried another cuban restaurant the next day, and strongly prefered Larios on the Beach. Perhaps Larios is more catered towards Americans and the other restaurant was more authentic, but regardless this was the best Cuban food we had in Miami. I got the ropa vieja, which was slow cooked pulled pork. It was delicious!!! Loved the moro rice. Most delicious moro rice I’ve had. The plantains were not as sweet and carmelized as I would like, but everything was sooo good.
We got a pitcher of Mojitos. Never seen so many flavors in my entire life. When the pitcher first came, it was filled with ice. But between the two of us, we had 3 – 4 glasses each for a total or 6 – 8 glasses. Can’t really remember the exact number of glasses. We got a decent buzz going.
