I specialize in providing a high-​quality, personalized customer experience in the delivery of professional, evidence-​informed, one-​on-​one Physical Therapy on Miami Beach. As a Doctor of Physical Therapy and small-​business owner I understand the need to have access to a quality experience that isn’t cookie cutter, treats you holistically and can collaborate with other members of your healthcare team.

My treatment approach addresses neuromusculoskeletal injuries from a manual therapy and exercise standpoint. I facilitate your own healing and empower you to go forward with confidence and skills that can prevent future injury. My goal is to get you moving well!

I am a teacher of teachers in Pilates Rehabilitation, am adjunct faculty with the University of Miami’s Doctor of Physical Therapy Program, and hold certifications in FMS/​SFMA™, GYROTONIC® and Chi Running® Instruction. Additionally, I have experience working with performing artists (dance and music) and multisport athletes.

History

Established in 2010.

Having worked in several areas of Miami and most recently on Miami Beach, I saw the need to provide an option for Physical Therapy that honored patient values, operated with high business ethics, and promoted my profession’s autonomy and technical skill.

I heard too often from patients that they weren’t receiving quality care from other therapy clinics until they came to me. They weren’t rehab experts but they knew I was delivering something different, a personalized approach that combined expertise and compassion. I knew I had to set the bar high for any entrepreneurial venture I sought to create, and I feel that is what I have done so far.

I operate out of the Miami Beach GYROTONIC® studio, which is an international training center for movement training. I do so and am able to because both businesses see the value of each other’s work. It’s been a wonderful, unique opportunity and am truly thankful to have it.

Business Owner

Colombian by birth and raised in the U.S. Bob has a soft spot for the international diversity offered in Miami. He has attended several universities and holds multiple degrees, both in Civil Engineering as well as Physical Therapy. As a Doctor of Physical Therapy, Bob is committed to providing evidence-​informed care in a compassionate framework and with a premium on customer service.

He’s also an Educator for Polestar Pilates, an Adjunct Faculty member of UM’s DPT Program, a certified GYROTONIC Level 1 Instructor, a Certified Chi Running Instructor and former certified Level 1 USA Triathlon Coach.

Bob is passionate about movers of all levels, working with professional and college athletes to seniors and teens. He has a keen interest in working with performing artists and multisport athletes, who happen to share many traits of intense commitment to their respective sports. Bob stays on top of research and trends in the running community and is a proponent of form before speed.
