Very sweet family owned and operated business. The food is as authentic as it gets, even down to the sauces. I recommend anyone that is a food enthusiast like myself to visit this spot.

Love the food and the people are delightful! Tacos are awesome and burrito topped it off. Great guac too. We will be back! Note location is off on Unilocal maps. Go to 8th and 72nd in front of Special Tire store

One of my favorite taco trucks in Miami! They hook you up with guacamole and some excellent homemade hot sauces. Extremely authentic and probably one of the best tacos I’ve had outside of NYC.

By far some of the worst«tacos» I’ve ever eaten. . they messed up our order, it was just all around no good. I wouldn’t Unilocal, but seeing them with 5 stars is just ridiculous. They really just don’t know what they are doing. They have a few meats on the menu, but no matter what you order, they give you the same thing! I speak English and Spanish, not a language issue…

Mr. Taco is a truck run by former Mexican restaurant owners. They normally arrive at around 8pm-9pm from the Opa-Locka Hialeah Flea Market where they do their first shift, and leave at around 12am-1am, depending on the crowd and the weather. Even though it’s only been a few months since Mr. Taco started coming to this area, they have already created a customer base. And not all are Mexican expats. True to the nature of the city, people representing the American continent congregate here and, surprisingly, most come from countries that don’t have a taco or tortilla culture. Granted, you will find some mariachis occasionally, but people here come for a quick bite and to eat street tacos. Yet, this taco cart is geared to a Mexican audience. The menu that hangs on the side of the truck offers the basic taco meats, a requirement for all non-Mexican customers. But if you want to get the most out of your trip, you have to ask what else is available. I didn’t know that until I came here and a mariachi was ordering stuff I have never heard in my life. Mind you, I have watched lots of Mexican TV shows and I know there is weird stuff that goes inside tacos, like fried bugs or sheep’s eyeballs. That is still not available in Miami, because there is no audience, but they have pork skin, pork skin in green mole, crunchy skin, mixed pork meat, chorizo and other exotic stuff I don’t remember. For those that don’t want tacos, Mr. Taco also sells Nachos, flautas, tostadas, tortas, burritos, and soups like pozole and tripe. I normally come here for the tacos. I specially like the chorizo tacos, the pork tacos, or the mixed meat tacos. But if you ask me, the best thing is the burrito. These tortilla blankets are big and filled with everything in the truck. Add to that the homemade sauces, red, green or yellow(habanero), and you’ll start singing a Cielito Lindo solo. The pozole soup is good too and deserves a special mention. Of the Miami taco scene, I would say this place has an advantage to most of the other places. The flavor is a bit better than the shops down Eighth Street, and the«X factor» are those taco fillings that fly under the radar. But this is the true street taco experience, so don’t come here expecting prime beef and organic pico. This is the down and dirty deal. x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x On my last visit, the lady that runs the truck schooled my inquiring mind on what tortillas are and the all the types of flours used in Mexican cuisine. She left me speechless. I had many more questions, but I couldn’t compete with the novela on Univision. I guess I’ll get my answers one taco at a time. This cart is CASHONLY, so bring cash or stop by an ATM at a gas station before getting here.

Great prices, and wow are the tacos good. Get the Lengua Taco! Also the owner is very knowledge about tacos. Only drawback is that it’s cash only, but I believe they are working on fixing that.

Paid 18 $ for six tacos and two drinks. This place is right on par with tacos estilo michoacan in little Havana only a lot closer to home. All the meat is home made. As for the rest of the menu I have yet to try it but I will be coming back for more.

How to find this Mexican treat: This Cute little street vendor/food truck adorned with colored Christmas lights, is on the SE corner of SW72nd Ave and SW8th St. A few blocks east of 826(Palmetto Expressway) and US41. You can find them there, unless they are working a festival or event. The owner and his wife were former restaurant owners. Very nice people! From what I understand they cater events as well. They usually set up shop between 8:00 and 8:30 during the week and stays open till about 12 midnight or so. Below are a sample of goodies that are served with your choice of fillings: Chicken, Pork, Steak, Chorizo, Tripe, Tongue and some other adventurous yet authentic fillings. I cant remember everything on the menu, so please forgive me for leaving anything out. However, here are a few goodies from my memory to whet your appetite: Tacos, Taquitos, Nachos, Mexican Torta(sandwich), Enchilada, Tostadas Posole(stew) on the weekend They serve tamarind soda(Jarritos), Fanta and a few other Mexican favorites. I’ve only been once so far(the night I wrote this) I sampled the Nachos(big enough for two to share) and the Pork, Chorizo and Chicken soft shell tacos… YUM and cheap $ 2 a taco The Nachos were $ 5 and a pretty decent heap. We ordered the Nacho special which combines Chicken, Pork and Beef! YUMMY! The Tomatillo sauce was a slightly spicy condiment, very smooth with a nice little kick. I was a bit chicken to try anything spicier than that. All in all, very yum, look forward to going back and trying other goodies from the menu. Make sure to check this place out. A great little find!
