Nassau Suite Hotel

Great location. Staff at the front desk were especially friendly. Patty was the best! Location is great, we walked almost everywhere. But it was EXTREMELY loud outside. I swore a window was open because you can hear everything! Bring ear plugs and you will be fine.

Definitely not worth the money we paid but it was a great location. Look nothing like the website. Everything is outdated.

Schönes Hotel mit direkt daneben liegendem eingezäunten Parkplatz (20 Dollar).
Das Personal war sehr, sehr freundlich und wir konnten schon gegen 13h auf unser geräumiges Zimmer. Das Zimmer ist sehr gut ausgestattet gewesen. Das riesige Bett war sehr gut und man hat perfekt geschlafen. Bei dieser Lage muss man sich mit nächtlichen Geräuschen anfreunden, jedoch dafür war es auch verhältnismäßig ruhig.
Das Frühstück ist nicht besonders üppig aber ausreichend und es wird sofort nachgelegt wenn etwas aus ist.
An der Rezeption kann man Handtücher und Stühlchen für den Strand bekommen, es gibt ein flinkes, unkompliziertes, freies WLAN und einen Fitnessraum.
Ich kann das Hotel nur empfehlen und wir würden sicherlich wiederkommen

Not sure why there aren’t that many great reviews here! Stayed here a few weeks back with my boyfriend and we had a wonderful stay! We arrived at the hotel at around 11 am, even though check in was at 3, so we dropped off our bags by the front desk and went to the beach (they provide free beach towels and beach chairs which is so convenient) We came back by 2:45 assuming we could check in a little early, but the guy at the front desk would not let us check in! (that’s the only reason I took off 1 star, because that’s so annoying especially after a full morning of traveling and the beach) But aside from that, our room was HUGE and clean and so amazing (our room could have easily fit 2 – 3 more people comfortably)! We booked a suite with a king bed and our room luckily faced the side of the building so we didn’t have any issues with noise or traffic, although there is currently a ton of construction at the front of the hotel.
Pros
–HUGE rooms (the suite has a full kitchen, dining room, futon in the living room, large bathroom, and a separate bedroom with the largest walk in closet I’ve seen in a hotel)
–updated appliances/​fixtures in the kitchen and bathroom
–location! in the middle of everything in SoBe with lots of great places to eat around the block
–super clean
Cons
–none that will make me reconsider staying here again
If you want an affordable place to stay in a great location, this is it. Definitely staying here again!

We just finished a stay at Nassau Suite Hotel. Overall I would rate it as average.
The pros
— spacious rooms which look as advertised, good value for price
— great location central to everything
— room was clean
— staff was polite & helpful
The Cons
— very loud, we were on the third floor set farthest back from Collins. The windows are single pane and paper thin so you hear everything outside.
Overall it was a decent stay. But bring earplugs if you want to sleep past 7am.

This review is literally 8 years late, but this place just came across my mind.
It was 2005 and Wilma had just struck. I get a call from my banking client that they need my team in Miami the next day to quickly assess the financial damage to their mortgage portfolio. We had to visit 1,500+ properties in Miami-​Dade.
Naturally, half of the beach was shut down. Not only did we need a place that had three rooms available, it had to have fast and reliable internet access for uploading reports and photos.
I just looked at the email and my assistant had called 27 different hotels before finding Nassau, which not only had the necessary number of rooms, but was also had the necessary internet connection.
They warned us that while they could accommodate us, they were in the midst of extensive renovations. They offered an appropriately discounted room rate. We arrive the next afternoon and the lobby is in disarray as they’re doing construction. The staff was more than friendly and went out of their way to make up for the inconvenience.
While they were still renovating many of the rooms, ours were fully renovated and extremely nice for the rate we were paying. They were essentially large studio apartments with enough of a kitchen to be able to live out of. Compared to other hotels on the beach I was pleasantly surprised by the size. With dedicated sitting areas in the rooms we were able to work in groups without having to sit on the bed.
Since it’s only (?) been 8 years, the rooms were the same as they appear in the photos here on Unilocal… and provided service hasn’t taken some horrible turn (doubtful?), I would recommend this hotel to anyone needing a conveniently located place to stay on the beach.
We ended up staying in South Beach for a month, which was two weeks longer than we had planned. Unfortunately, and understandably, due to prior booking commitments, Nassau could only house us for so long. Thankfully, the beach was pretty much back into the swing of things by the time we needed to move on and we settled again over on Lincoln.

We had a great room, very spacious and served its purpose to sleep and store our stuff, but not a place to relax and unwind. The walls are extremely thin so you can hear every guest walking past and the people in the lobby. The staff varies, there was a really helpful and friendly woman usually there, but the majority were rude and/​or unhelpful.
This place does have free wifi and complimentary breakfast (e.g., fruit and packaged baked goods). It is close to the beach (about 2 blocks), but most of the other hotels are close or across the street from the beach.

My husband and I also two of our kids ages 5 and 3 stayed at this hotel for four night and we loved it! It was spacious for the kids, very clean and nice. The best part was it had a full kitchen, I made spaghetti and steak. If I come back to Miami I will defiantly be back at this hotel. Also Lily the receptionist is so nice and very helpful.

The staff is rude at times. When I went to check in the front desk was abandoned. After waiting for ten minutes I called, and sure enough a staff member comes galloping in only to chide me for calling. The staff also seemed to think it was okay to mistreat the women in our group, quickly changing their tune when one of the men showed up. The rooms were clean, modern, and comfortable. The hotel was in a very good location in SoBe, would stay here again and cautiously recommend to a friend.

Honestly, awful customer service is just the standard on the east coast. Nassau is no exception. My patronage was an inconvenience, and I felt like I should have known at birth how one gains access to their gated parking. Not offering 5 to a room is pretty ridiculous, as is their determination to catch anyone visiting past midnight.
They gain a star for the modern interior design. They lose 3 for not being able to hate their jobs with a smile. Really. Be professional.

Crappy bathrooms, unhelpful staff, very dumb policies. I rented a scooter and they made me pay an extra $ 20 to park it.
There is much better options for the price they charged for the room.
On their front porch, they let some drunk guy sleep there for hours with both hands down his pants. He was not a hotel guest.

I stayed here with two friends for two nights in September 2011. We had a two queen studio, which was perfect for 3 – 4 people. It includes the two beds, a sofa, a small kitchen (with fridge, stove, etc), a private bathroom and decently sized closet.
We arrived at the hotel on Friday afternoon. My sister (who lives in Miami) drove us there and the hotel was really great about letting her park there (and not be charged) while we checked in and got our stuff out of the car. We found the room to be spacious and clean.
Location: The location of the hotel was great — just a few blocks from the beach and within walking distance of an array of South Beach restaurants and nightlife.
Service: We had no problems with service. They answered any questions we had and provided us with extra towels for the beach. We even had a problem with the toilet being clogged at one point and they sent someone up to fix it within 15 minutes. Additionally, my sister was able to crash in the room with us one night and no one said anything about it or charged us extra.
All in all, I found this to be a great place to stay if you are looking for clean, comfortable and affordable in South Beach.

If I could give this place ZERO stars I would!!!

This place was so horrible that I left after the first night and didn’t care if I had to pay a penalty or pay for nights that we had already reserved. I wanted to do anything to leave this crap motel as soon as I possibly could. Finding another hotel room during peak Spring Break season was interesting but I was determined to avoid anymore drama from this super sketch «boutique hotel.». If this place is supposed to be the upgraded version of Nassau Beachcomber, I cringe at the thought of what lurks in those rooms.
Avoid having the worst vacation experience and book ANYWHERE else besides Nassau Suite Hotel.

am i just a snob? is it asking too much to not have mold on the tile underneath the WHEELS of your crickety bed, upon which a 40 year old mattress lays? is it truly a luxury to be treated with respect by the front desk?
is it normal for the hotel supervisor/​manager/​concierge/​receptionist yell at your friends, imply they’re ready to get physical, repeatedly charge your debit card 3 times the original amount, and be completely unable to rectify the situation?
because that’s the kind of four-​star luxury you get at nassau.
— front desk that is withdrawn, rude, at times aggressive, and has never learned how to use the computer in front of them, and that will literally try to speak through a fax machine to the magical miniature fax man that lives inside of it
— a moldy, crusty hotel with «modern upgrades» to hide how quickly its deteriorating

If you’re looking for an Art Deco Motel 6 with shitty service then Nassau is just the place!!! =)
Upon arrival to Nassau we were INTERROGATED not greeted by the wonderful hotel «supervisor.» We were meeting a couple of friends from LA who reserved a few rooms to celebrate my dear friend susu’s bachelorette party; they had already checked in earlier in the day & they had left a key at the front desk for our own room. Señor Supervisor had an issue b/​c he ASSUMED we were «spring breakers» that were going to tear up their shoddy hotel rooms. He was extremely rude, incompetent & NEVER in my life have I received such horrible customer service!!!
AWESOME MEMORIES OF NASSAU:
*Coming back from dinner to find our room key was DEACTIVATED & having a paper posted on our door stating”“ADDITIONAL PERSON STAYING IN ROOM $ 40/​PERSON; NO VISITORS AFTER 12″ (WTF?! I didn’t know I was going to be going on vacation & having a fuckin R.A. to answer to!!!)
*SENOR SUPERVISOR repeatedly charging my friend’s debit card $ 2000 & not understanding the difference between a CREDIT & A DEBIT
*SENOR SUPERVISOR not knowing he had to dial «1» before sending out a fax & then proceeding to talk into the fax machine as if it were going to respond back to him (SUPERVISOR: *Dials fax #* «Hello?! It’s a fax machine!!»)

I really enjoyed staying here! The rooms were nice and big for 4 girls and the kitchen is just so nice and convenient to have. Even though the hotel is a bit older, the rooms are pretty well kept. I do have to discount 2 stars to the inconsistent service from the front desk. It seems that they are nice and friendly to you until you ask for something. I really don’t get it. It started with checking our luggage and then asking for extra towels. Where’s the hospitality???

Wow we really enjoyed our stay here. Very cute contemporary design. Marble counters, full kitchen, free wifi, small gym, cheap parking, etc. We had a little trouble when we arrived because we had booked a 1 bedroom suite through Orbitz and somehow we ended up with the studio suite. But even that worked out. we had less people with us and the office staff was very helpful working with Orbitz to get us a very generous credit back. They even offered us a free upgrade next time we stay there! I think we’ll definitely be going back. It’s a little pricey if you book directly, but Orbitz had them for cheaper. and they had a 150 $ off sale so it was even cheaper. plus the refund for the downgrade. they ended up giving us back about 235 back which came in handy after an expensive vacation: P After the discounts and rebates we ended up paying about 1000 $ for 5 nights. For a suite 1 block from the beach! During peak time. spring break/​WMC. They even had free beach chairs and towels at the front desk. And as a final display of their hospitality… after we checked out we were heading to the beach and they were nice enough to let us check out 2 chairs/​towels even though we were no longer paying customers! A small thing, I know. But it helped us out a lot: P And it really showed how nice they were. in a generally unfriendly area.
