During the time surrounding Mother’s Day this year, I was visiting with my daughter in Miami. She had two arrangements delivered from Pistils & Petals for me — one had orchids and the other had roses. ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS! The orchid arrangement was simple elegance and the rose arrangement was deliciously fragrant; the flowers plump and moist; and the color mix was like a gorgeous watercolor with deep pinks and cool greens — a treat for the senses! Thank you to Pistils and Petals! (and my daughter, of course!)

P&P has been my partner in making my best friend’s birthday special and memorable! For over 5 years they have always gone out of their way to accommodate my crazy requests! They’ve delivered flowers to restaurants, hotels, and of course home. Being so far away, (Arizona) it is a relief to know I can ALWAYS count on their quality customer service and AMAZING floral arrangements!

I was very disappointed with this company this past Christmas. I ordered a huge bouquet of flowers. Firstly they sent them a whole day early. When I called to tell them they were rude and unhelpful. Then the flowers died after 2 days. Even store bought ones last a week. I have bought flowers here for the last 20 years but no more. This is the only Unilocal review I’ve ever written as it would just be wrong not to.

Ordered today $ 250 flowers for a business partner which were supposed to be delivered one block away from their shop. Talked with them around 9:30am and lady over phone told me it will be delivered around 11am, for sure before noon. Based on that I’ve made an order.
They didn’t make delivery till 2pm. My business partner left office after 12pm because it was her bddy. To make things worse, guys from Pistils & Petals were rude over the phone when I made inquires when they are going to make a delivery.
I don’t mind paying $ 250 for good job finished in timely manner. With their business model that money was wasted.

After waiting for 7 minutes and still not being greeted, the women behind the counter finally decided to help me. Over priced succulents, rude employees, and made up prices! I didn’t want to leave empty handed so I picked out a $ 10 succulent, a $ 13 pot and proceeded to the counter. They didn’t even offer to plant the succulent in the pot, so I asked and was charged $ 12 for them to put it in the pot which took 15 seconds. $ 35 for a succulent that is smaller than my hand, 30 minutes of my life, and rude people. I will NEVER go back!!!

After three days of looking they were eventually able to find the person I was delivering to. They put the work in and had adequate customer service. It ended up the building security dropped the ball.

Expensive arrangements but well worth the price. Beautiful array and exotic flowers! Definitely the place to shop if you want to «wow» someone!

Ordered flowers for my mother’s birthday and they lived for over a week. We were both very impressed. Will definitely use them again.

I used to purchase all my arrangements here for both my home and office functions; private dinners at restaurants south of 5^th. The prices always kept going up, the service was inconsistent and I found many of the floral designers condescending and patronizing. I finally cut the cord. Tonight I found out I need an arrangement for a dear friend tomorrow. Since it has been a while and I need an arrangement for tomorrow delivered nearbyI thought I might give them another try. After reading the reviews I remembered how I always had felt — which is substantiated by their website. These people only want large corporate clients. That is their market and that is who they care about. Do yourself a favor as I am right now and go elsewhere. Give the people who care about customer service before there is a problem your business. I don’t want a refund. I don’t want you to be reactive, but proactive. I want you to care and do it right. This is not the place and don’t take the chance. You can see how many unsatisfied customers there are. You can also see the answers provided by the store to the reviews; an answer for everything; the customer didn’t say it was a business, Did you ask? Valentine’s Day is their busiest. You should know that market trend and prepare for it.
So many hardworking people are out there running their own businesses. Take your business to them. Let these people service the hotels and restaurants; their niche.

It is disappointing to have to write this but we had such a poor experience that I feel it’s only fair to share it with other potential clients of Pistils & Petals.
We represent a major international automotive manufacturer and recently hosted a two week event at the @thompsonmiami hotel. From the beginning our experience with Pistols and Petals was difficult. I will say that Anthony, our salesperson was pleasant, but was a mouthpiece for the company and did little to improve our experience.
Let’s start with the initial bid: $ 33,000! Yes, that’s correct, $ 33,000 for a series of small dinners of 50 people. We have been producing such events all over the world for 10 years + and our budgets have never exceeded $ 7,000 which yielded amazing results. We were able to get the budget down to $ 14,000 which is still astonishingly high, but they had us against the wall so we were forced to move forward.
Next we’ll go to creativity. I expected for that budget for the floral to be monumentally unique, exquisite and creative – conversation pieces if you will. While they were «fine» and there were a few exceptions that were above average, they were by far not worth $ 14,000. Not at all. It was clear that we were being taken advantage of because of the type of client we represented and the timing.
Beyond floral, we contracted with them to bring in greenery and plants to finish out one event space. They were cheap Home Depot rejects in cheap plastic pots that were cracked and ill-​sized for the plants. Needless to say, the slightest breeze blew them over and our team ended up «rigging» the plants with weights to keep them upright. Additionally, mid-​way through the event, the plants died and had to be replaced. Installation was as equally poor with a lack of respect for the event design or environment. They trashed the hotel with dirt and water.
I could go on, but I think the point has been made. Lesson learned!
For that budget, I will travel my Los Angeles based floral designers and house them at the finest hotel around and the product will be far superior to what we experienced with Pistils & Petals.
UPDATE: Clearly, Anthony and I have very different recollections of the engagement. Needless to say, I recommend researching any and all potential vendors for yourself. Case and point, the Unilocal reviews for Pistils & Petals.

Ordered flowers to be delivered to very close friends of mine this past Thursday.
Spoke with one of my friends today Saturday and they had not mentioned that they had received anything from me. Needless to say flowers were not delivered so I called the store and spoke with the girl who took the order and she was worse than useless!
Totally incompetent and lacking any customer service skills!
I find out that she did not send the order and she had written down the credit card # wrong despite having it in her hands it’s not like I read wrong to her. So she ripped up the order along with the card that I had written to be sent with the flowers. When I aked her what she planned in doing she basically said she could nothing as it was out of her control. I asked why she did not contact the client who they were going to she that’s not their policy as she had not taken my number down.
So very angry and frustrated the flowers did look nice in the store when I was in but they need to do something about customer service training.
I have 2 sets of friends who use them on a frequent basis I do plan on letting them know my experience. Need to find another florist in Miami.

Pistils & Petals only works with the very best quality of flowers and they strive to deliver complete satisfaction. Your flower arrangement will be a piece of art. I have been a fan for at least 10 years now. Don’t over think it — if you want to impress, they are the ones to call.

I’ve used pistils and petals for over 5 years. I have never come across such splendid consistency in beautiful work as I have with this flower shop! My favorite designer has to be Monika! From modern to pure romantic lush arrangements she can really do it all. I’ve also tried other wannabes in town but have fallen short. You just can’t go wrong with these guys

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!
We wanted to order flowers for my wedding. So I call them at around 3 or 4 pm to know what time they are closing, they say 6 pm. Knowing that fact, we arrive at 5.15pm, the front door was closed. We were puzzled, and a gentleman from the restaurant next door came to us and said we may be able to enter from the side/​back door, so we did.
As soon as we get inside, a rude woman yells «we’re closed!», so I answer «no you’re not, I called on purpose and you clearly stated you close at 6 pm», she responds «ok» as if she’s doing us a favor, but I stop right then and there, my today husband and I look at each other and say «let’s go». And we did!
We got there in a very pleasant and excited mood, as we were shopping for our wedding, and left bitter.
UN-​BE-​LIE-​VA– BLE! Who do they think they are? They do not have the monopoly of floral business.

Order an orchid arrangement with two plants. Charged $ 120 for 2 supermarket orchids in a glass container with moss. Next time I will make my own.

Talk about bad customer service. My husband Silvio ordered arrangement for valentines day to be delivered to my office. After numerous calls to find status of where they were, 6:00 pm came around and office was closing. He called so many times upset to complain that they began not picking up his calls. He simply was calling at 6:00 pm to change delivery address because office was closing and they began screening his calls since they had no update. After 5 calls of no one picking up he called with *69 and they picked up they left him on hold forever and finally at 6:45 I got my bouquet.
We won’t be ordering from them again. Do not order for delivery you will be disappointed.

So I haven’t been to the store but I called in an order, provided a list of flowers that I would like to be included in the arrangement and a price range and voila! Same day delivery and an amazing arrangement!!! Danielle is the floral designer who made my vase and it was exquisite, to say the least. The vase is beautiful, it has colored water inside and just an amazing array of vibrant colored flowers that I know my beautiful girlfriend will simply adore.
Simply, no fuss, no drama, no hassles, superb service and custom designed arrangements! I will definitely be coming back for more!

Main point — friendly and accommodating staff. Good selection with a nice variety. Prices are a bit high, but so is the clientele.
I walked in late in the day on a Friday to pick up a last minute arrangement.
Between sticking to budget and putting up with the quick pace of the order this store did a great job.
They let me use the staff bathroom and it was super clean.

Few things are as nice as receiving flowers. A big, beautiful bouquet of fresh flowers arrives and brightens up the day and the room. It’s an old-​fashioned notion that never goes out of style.
Recently, when I was out of town one of my mentors and friends celebrated a birthday. I was across the country and I figured I could take her out for a drink or something when I returned. However, to know this woman you know she’s known for impeccable taste and a modern meets classic sensibility so I jumped on Unilocal and looked for a florist.
I’d been aware of Pistils and Petals for years, having seen their creations at a variety of shops. I loved their description of flower shop meets design studio and once I read the previous review and the mention of «unusual and simple» I knew they were who I was looking for. I called and placed the order. It was simple and quick.
The flowers arrived that same day. And my friend wrote to tell me how lovely the arrangement was. Perfection.
