Signature Rent A Car

Never again. Even though I have insurance coverage to drive other cars they would not let me deny coverage unless I had a note from my carrier. I’ve never had to do this and if we weren’t 40 minutes from the airport and after midnight we would have found another option. The insurance cost was greater then the cost of the rental.

Deserves a negative rating! I purchased a Groupon and made a reservation a week in advance. When I walked in, I noticed the owner behind the desk… I immediately knew he was in charge since he answered the phones calls on all three of their phone lines (different locations = still the same scum)
I inquired about vehicles, since I know businesses respond negative to Groupon even though they ask Groupon for help advertising. He offered me three vehicles, a compact Nissan Versa, mid size Sentra, and a Mustang convertible. I chose the Versa and told him it would be for 7 days… then after he printed out some paperwork and handed me a bill for $ 190 I mentioned the Groupon.
He immediately was angered and refused to accept it. Telling me I would have to pay a $ 139 up charge for the Sentra… magically the Versa was no longer available!!! Although it was still right outside the window he denied having a compact car and laughed at me when I called his tactics a sham! Needless to say I stormed out the door and rented from Priceline for $ 16/​day!

It killed me to click on that ONE star !!! I would give this company less then zero if possible ! The «manager «(I believe is the owner but doesn’t wanna take responsibility) is an absolute moron ! Should never be allowed in public. Zero customer service. Very shady operation. VERY dishonest company OMG don’t EVER EVER rent from these people !!!

This place sucks (The Signatue Rent a Car at the Holiday Inn on Pointsettia Blvd near the Miami airport). Don’t ever use these dirtbags. They wasted an hour and ahlf of my vacation before I walked out and went to a different rental company that picked me up and processed me in 10 minutes. I will never ever rent from Signature Rental Car again. If I could give these zero stars, I would.
Here is my story.
First, I get there and I wait 30 minutes before talking to the guy at the counter. He is having a heated conversation with the person in front of me in Spanish. I should have interrupted right then, but I tried staying patient. I had left my wife and one-​year-​old at the airport to get
Then, I ask the guy realized that I was waiting for him. He said yes.
Then, we begin our paperwork. Everything there is done with pens and carbon paper and it takes 10 minutes. The guy keeps answering phone calls while I am waiting and asking me stupid small talk questions. It looked liked they had never seen the reservation when I brought it in.
The guy’s English is a bit broken and he seems a bit annoyed that I am pointing out how slow things are.
Then, the guy hits me with it about 50 – 60 minutes into my waiting for this car. The guy in front of me had mechanical problems with his car. He seems to indicate there would be a delay but I would get a different car, but it would not have a spare tire. I ask why he did tell me this shit in the first 5 minutes of waiting. He says that Miami always has lines. I kinda go ballistic right now.
He seems to indicate that I will get an upgrade. He keeps answering his phone and talking in Spanish.
Finally, after an hour, he says that he has no car for me. He gave my car to the guy in front of me and that it would take a hour before I could get a car. They can’t fix the car without the spare. I think he was trying to stall things hoping that another car would be turned in early.
I am yelling at this putz in lobby of the Holiday Inn, in fornt of the check-​in counter. I ask the hotel if there are any other rental car companies that the Holiday Inn can refer me to. They give me the name of a place that picks me up within 5 minues and processes me within another 10 minutes.
Don’t rent from Signature. If you are a manager from Signature, fire the guys working around 1 pm on Sunday February 19^th, 2012

Lured me in with a cheap daily rate of $ 40 a day. They picked me up at the hotel which was nice, but at the office I felt very rushed and unimportant to them. They kept my drivers license and I drove to the Keys and back without it, but were good enough to drop it off at my hotel. I said i wanted to bring the car back after office hours, and they instructed me how to do it. Apparently noone noted this and I was charged for an extra 2 – 3 days, plus parking citations, since it sat in a lot. They are supposed to credit my account, (for only 2 days, I still am paying the citations) but I’m still waiting for it after playing phone tag FOR WEEKS. Don’t waste your time with people like this.
