I will start with something positive about this store: for a small store, the selection is surprisingly large, and if you live on the beach, it is very convenient. I have popped in many times when I need something to quickly finish a job and driving all the way to Home Depot would tack on an hour or more to the project. However… the employees are pretty rude. If someone is stocking a shelf, he or she will not make way for you to go down the aisle. I was here last week to purchase a bag of 20 minute compound. I couldn’t find it on the shelves, so I asked and the guy said they keep it in the warehouse. He charged me at the register and then just stood there, so I asked, «where can I get the compound?». He just said, out back. So I said, «OK, where out back?». He eyerolled, sighed and walked out back to the warehouse. As he was leaving the warehouse with my bag, he said, «This is pretty heavy»… the bag weighed maybe 10 pounds. My 75 year old mother could have carried it. Finally, today, it took 2 phone calls to find out if they carried a particular product. Very unprofessional. But… convenient! Can’t have it all…

Good service and friendly staff, parking always full and a little pricy but for an emergency find this is the place.

Shopping local!!! This Ace Hardware has a knowledgable and friendly staff. As a Montanan visiting Miami Beach with a few painting projects they had Benjamin Moore paint and all the supplies I needed to tackle the job !!

I called them an hour before they closed to check if they had enough Ben Moore paint in stock because Miller Paint in my neighborhood wouldn’t get any for another day. They had the paint in stock. I asked for the price and was pleasantly surprised they were also less expensive, so far so good. I told them I would be on my way. I arrived 10 minutes before closing and didn’t see the open sign on; I thought to myself, figures. I tried opening the door and it was OPEN. Woo hoo. I am used to people in the area not being the friendliest but these guys were all excellent. Every person was more then willing to help me out, so I bought a few other things. I’m definitely coming back here for my painting needs. Great staff, Great prices.

I’m a home depot guy, but this store is so incredibly useful. I live just a few blocks away and sometimes the convenience of the location just can’t beat. For instance when we moved into our new house and needed to buy trashcans. I’m sure Home depot has a better selection of exterior trashcans at a better price, but I’ll be damned if one of those things would fit in my hatchback. The workers here are friendly and knowledgeable, and I’ve gotten general home/hardware stuff with their guidance. Good store, a little cramped, but that’s life on Miami Beach.

This is a store that make you think with sadness on how big box retailers have taken over. you may pay a bit more than in home depot but here you get : *very well staffed *local knowledge. you have something broken they may know the person who can repair it * Knowledgeable staff — can instruct you how to tackle problems what to use and will get for you the items you need to buy * fast service … no need to get lost in between the isles — you can get into this store let them know what you need and get it and out in matter of few minuets I have been to Ace stores before. this one definitely is a gem and stands out for service

I love these little Ace Hardware stores on the Beach. Since we’re on a tiny barrier island where a Lowes or Home Depot won’t do, it’s great to have a mini(old school style) little ‘toolbox’ filled w/knoweledgeble staff and everything needed for those«unexplainable» emergencies within walking distance. There’s one also on Alton &17th and my favorite on 41st street. I actually prefer the one on 41st as it has a much larger selection, w/a second level and better lighting/organization. But A-Ok works just as well.
