Baumann Cosmetic Dermatology

I really wanted to like this place but after my first consult I just can’t and won’t be back. There are too many competing dermatologists and med spas that will offer better service. I was seen by a physician’s assistant for the first half hour before seeing the doctor. I figured that was normal and wasn’t bothered by it. They had a special face recognition picture thing (?) that took images of my skin and showed me how large my pores are, where there is sun damage or brown spots etc. I detailed my concerns with the PA (large pores, acne scarring and acne) and before she leaves the room to get the Dr. she hands me a bill for 300 $??? It’s worth noting that prior to my appointment I called the office three separate times to confirm, ask questions etc and was never asked for my insurance or told that the initial consult would be 300 $ so I figured the consult was free. I told this to the PA who left the room and then came back to say that I could use the 300 $ to put towards products, uh no thanks, again I was never told of that cost. She came back again and said they would wave it because I had been referred, gee thanks. After that I was pretty turned off to the whole process. The Dr. was very nice and I did like her but her long term solution for the acne scarring was filler which just seems like an expensive way to keep my business. I’m in aesthetics school and asked several teachers and they agreed that that was not a long term solution to scarring. I also felt pressured to get filler that day and I declined wanting more time to think about it and get a second opinion. I ended up buying Retin A which has helped my skin clear up by a lot but I’m still on the hunt for the right treatment to clear up the scarring.

I just had a Vitalyze peel with Natasha. Her sunny personality brightened this very gloomy day. I felt so cared for. The office staff were exceptionally accommodating. The surroundings are beautiful and all the staff are too. I was so impressed I’m coming back after the weekend for another treatment!

Very disappointed with my experience at Baumann Cosmetic Dermatology, after waiting 2 HOURS to see the Doctor for botox too much for a procedure that takes only 5 minutes!!! I could not return for my touch up after 2 weeks because I had to leave the town for my work. Then I called them when I got back to schedule after 3 weeks and the assistant said that was fine I could come for touch up, so when I got there the nurse told me that I had to pay U$ 400.00 again for only ONE AREA because passed more than 2 weeks!!! By the way I did not like the result at first place and more charging U$ 25.00 dollars per unit is a totally rip off!!!

Going to Baumann is a pleasant, rewarding experience from beginning to end. I have been to many derms for fillers and am most happy with Adrienne who is the Queen of Injectables. She really listens and doesn’t do any more or less than discussed. Adrienne really fine tunes the treatment and personalizes each to suit client’s needs. She is there afterward if needed as well. I am thoroughly a fan and would trust Adrienne to give me a smiley face every time. She is knowledgeable about all the new products coming on the market and knows what to use where. I’m a big fan

professional, not over-​the-​top in selling you unnecessary treatments which actually result in the client/​victim looking expressionless, exaggerated and older. on the contrary, the team even offers alternatives to all the chemicals. did a clinical trial on effects of yoga on appearance of skin – a yogi once said that for each hour you headstand, you «gain» a year of life. gravity does come into play. Dr. Baumann is fantastic-​intelligent, a natural beauty with brains to match and lots of common sense.

Have called twice trying to get an appointment. No one answers the phone & it goes straight to voicemail. I’ve left two voicemails to call me back — nothing. Big fail.

HORRIBLE experience w/​this clinic! Don’t go there! MD book author who hardly knows the basics of dermatology. Baumann kept me on real high doses of compound hydroquinone for 1+ year, making the condition I was desperately seeking treatment for MUCH WORSE! I myself told her how I feared the treatment she was prescribing me (given the fact I had been on hydroquinone bf for 5 years w/​out any success) but she is really arrogant and thinks she knows all… in the end, I paid and (am still paying) a real high price, with a very damaged face. BEWARE. Much ado about nothing in this clinic. Only talk, no real knowledge nor competence at all. I am a living proof of that. You’re also used as guinea pig for her entourage of PAs or Residents for the purported clinical research she conducts there when she lacks BASIC knowledge of the extremely harmful effects and IRREVERSIBLE damage the poisonous hydroquinone can cause — she was completely unable to recognize my obvious high intolerance for hydroquinone (which I had been on for the past 5 years) from the get-​go, and insisted that I stayed on it for 1+ year and in very high dosage. This MD knows NOTHING about dermatology. A disgrace, really!

Dr. Baumann and her team are hands down the best in service and care in Miami when it comes to dermatology and patient care. It was refreshing to have such service in a doctors office. Dr. Baumann is phenomenal when it comes to pin pointing the issues you have in your skin and is a wonderful person to work with. She’s caring and you can tell she loves her field. Her office is drop dead gorgeous and beautiful to visit. From the waiting room to each procedure room, the office was clean and chic. They even have patient advocates that will greet you and walk to you to your exam room. They stay in the room with you and explain the procedure or products being recommended. The style of medicine that Dr. Baumann practices is unique and custom per patient. I’ve been suffering from adult acne for years and this is the first time I have seen true results without harsh medications. She explained everything I was doing wrong for my skin type. The way she customs your skin type is flawless and bulletproof! I wouldn’t recommend anyone else for my friends, family and even my very own patients.

Dr. Baumann is absolutely hands down, no question the best cosmetic dermatologist. My mom, my sister and I all travel from different parts of the country to see her in Miami at least once a year. She actually listens to you and your skin concerns as opposed to most of the dermatologists I’ve been to (and I’ve been to at least 5 different ones in the Boston area) who just prescribe RetinA and shoo you out the door in literally 5 minutes. I never felt like I was being heard until I met her. She also has a really cool machine in her office which tells you how much bacteria as well as UV damage you have to your skin. Given that none of us live in Miami, she gave us her email address so that she is accessible at all times; and she does actually answer when you send her an email! On top of all that, she is super friendly and down to earth. She has given us the best skin of our lives which is why we all feel she is worth traveling across country for!!!

I was treated by Dr. Woolery. She is amazing! Diagnosed my skin issue in less than 2 minutes. It’s no wonder she is fully booked 2 months in advance. She has great bedside manner and is just super knowledgable. The facility is top notch. I would definitely recommend Dr. Woolery.

I had a wonderful experience with dr. Leslie Bauman. I had lots of brown sun spots that were on my face since I had my first child. 4 kids later the spots got worse and I had malasma spots everywhere and couldn’t fully cover them up with makeup. She treated me 2 times and the spots were all gone. I’m so happy. I didn’t realize it could be fixed. I tried so many other treatments from other dermatologists but the first time I came to dr. Bauman she knew what to do. I just wish I would have come to her sooner.

Dr. Baumann and her friendly staff provided me a very pleasant experience while I visited them over a 7 month period for a lip injection study.
Dr. Baumann and her research staff were always so professional and made me feel special and welcome. Knowing I was going to be taken care of and have fun made my 30 mile drive to her office worth it. Now I understand why Dr. Baumann is a world renowned cosmetic dermatologist. Her artistry and and expertise was evident as she injected me a total of 4 times over the 7 month trial. My results were spectacular and I intend to see her again for additional injections. Years of practice is not enough when it comes to this procedure. Her strategic placement of the gel was spot on as it enhanced my lips without making them look fake. I always thought injected lips were obvious, but mine appear as if I was born this way.
The newly renovated office has a super modern feel with ultra high ceilings and a bright, clean appearance. It’s clear a lot of attention to detail was made, down to the gorgeous square Kohler sinks and large flat screen TVs in each patient room. The office, right off Biscayne Boulevard, has plenty of parking, all of which is close to the entrance. I never had trouble finding a spot, regardless of what time of day I arrived. The main waiting room is big and comfortable with plenty of magazines and a basket of free skin care items to go through. There was always new and exciting free products to try. The receptionist greeted and signed me in as soon as I arrived so I was never left wondering if they knew I was there. The staff is a stable group, many of which have been at the office for years, so I got to see the same faces and got to know every one of girls. To name a few, Mikaela and Susan were awesome!
Her office was also very accommodating whenever I showed up late to my appointments, which was often since I frequently encountered traffic during my long commute. One time, I was over an hour late and both doctors I was seeing that day stayed late in order for me to avoid rescheduling. They never made me feel badly for my tardiness.
I would highly recommend Dr. Baumann’s office for any procedure you need. Her friendly staff will welcome you into their beautiful space. Plus, it’s cool to be treated by the same doctor you read about in Allure Magazine, as she is quoted by them in nearly every issue.

First, the office is hard to get to. Next, the waiting room had a freakish lesbian book on the coffee table and even more freakish pictures of woman movie stars on the walls, all mixed in with a grandma’s teaparty look. I sat in the waiting room for over an hour with no explanation from staff. My visit was to have simple sun spots removed from my chest by spray nitrous oxide. I have had the procedure done numerous times elsewhere with great results (after one session). The PA came into my room and without seeing my chest, which was still covered with my shirt, announced that one procedure would not be enough — huh??? Her technique was horrible. She used very little of the spray, not enough pressure, and did not spray the entire spot. Despite my insistence that the procedure would not resolve the spots, she would not change the way she was doing it or correct her sloppy work. Well, I was right. Three weeks later I still have all the same spots that are virtually unchanged but my bank account is down $ 345. Last, they «escort» you to the payment office and «wait» with you, like you will run out. Extremely insulting. Will I go back? Never. The clinic is a rip off — used car salepersons with MD, PA degrees. I plan to go back to my regular dermatologist who does the job right the first time. L
