The food was in point and quick. And the drive thru kid said I was pretty. And any guy that says I’m pretty while I’m stuffing my face with no makeup fresh outta school deserves 5 stars lol. But for real. I’ve never had an issue with this place, they know what they’re doing. Best checkers all the way from homestead.

Sorry guys, loved you years ago. Today you couldn’t listen my order and when I got home you missed my order. Not expectable

I don’t expect a lot from Checkers usually, but the experience that I had here was even worse. 1. The area is a bit sketchy: some people(somewhat intimidating) came to me and asked for something to eat while I was making orders. 2. The employees are not really kind and nice: well, I think everybody made the point already about this. 3. They never answer the phone: I had to call them up as I found out that they had not put what I ordered; they never picked up the phone at all. 4. Order mistake: the incident that I referred above; they forgot to put everything that I ordered.

THISRESTAURANTHASTHEWORSTCUSTOMERSERVICE I HAVEEVEREXPERIENCEDINMYLIFE, if it were possible I wouldn’t give them any stars! I have been here about 4 times because of my friends and each time the customer service gets worse. One of the times we asked the asshole in the drive through if we could have a second to look over the menu as soon as we got there and literally 30 seconds later he told us «ok are yal ready to order? Yal can’t be taking that long» how rude is that? Definitely recommend going out of your way rather than dealing with this guy’s or anybody else’s issues there

The way they prepare their food made me not want to come back. I wish I didn’t witness it!

People, really let’s all get a grip here. This is a flocking checkers!!! Your not going to the Forge. You come here with low expectations. Yes this place sucks, but it’s 3am and your in a residential neighborhood and you know damn well you don’t feel like driving over the bridge or going to Brickell. So you drive thru or walk up, bring your loose change and order your shitty burgers and processed chicken and head home and be a fatty. It’s that or make food at home, or there’s a BP station w microwave burgers .not sure what is better lol. Anyways. No need to rant and rave. It is what it is, your hungry, they are open, you will hate yourself in the morning when you have to the shits, but next weekend when you are driving home from your friends apt after indulging in some adult beverages, you will stop again, and yes it will still suck!

Checkers fries are the only reason I come here. Otherwise I would never. Drive thru is much faster than walking up. The homeless tend to hang out here and just are hungry(never had any issues or felt unsafe). Staff are polite but border on incompetent. Won’t be walking up to counter anymore but will still go to drive thru.

Hard to blame the employees for this dump. Waited 20 minutes for fast food. Watching them make it slowly and awe fully just prolonged the pain.

Use the drive through to avoid the ever present homeless in the lot. Late late night goto spot.

The little yo-yo-homie kid taking my order, a Cuban boy of ~20 named Jonathan with a chinstrap beard, kept pestering us to order every 10 seconds from the moment we drove up… even though there were NO cars behind us and common sense dictates that few people have the facking Checkers menu memorized. After the ~10th time he snapped in a bitchy tone, «Can I take your ORDER!», I snapped back, «One second, please!» Exactly one second later: «All right, that was one second. What do you want.» Amazed, I replied, «Excuse me!!!» He snapped, «You said to wait one second. That was one second, right? What’s your order!» I marveled over the speaker: «You are INCREDIBLY rude.» He retorted, «You said to wait a second. I waited a second. That was a second. Can I take your order.» I will never come here again and the manager will be hearing from me in the morning. I’ve never heard such audacity in my life.

This is the ghettoest place I have ever eaten at. TWICE! The only late night place I found open. I had the unfortunate opportunity of watching how they assemble a burger. Just don’t if you don’t have to

I’m tempted to give it a high rating because of the urban street theater while waiting for my post nightout grub*. At least it’ll get a mention on the«Late Night Gourmet» list. After a drink with friends at a nearby night spot, I stopped by for some sustenance. After encountering a street person claiming to have worked on the soundstage crew for the band Aventura — and asking me for $ 1 for beer(loved the honesty) I walked up to the window to order my food. To their credit, the window crew did ask him to leave the patrons alone. I ordered the Baconzilla small combo with fries. Small is an Understandment on the fries — a little soggy, thankfully not overly greasy. The burger patties could have been a little more flavorful and juicier. I’m glad I picked up two packets of their smallish(see the picture) BBQ sauce and had some fast food spices at home. That they had cherry coke ensures their second star.

late night hunger? then you dont care about service or quality. its a checkers, dont expect a 5 star meal with a 5 star staff… they are slow, sometimes rude and there are bums all over the area. but if its late at night and you are hungry, it solves the problem

Shittiest fast food place ever. The service is so damn slow it’s unbelievable. If you go through the drive-thru, you will be waiting a hell of a long time, but if you go up to the walk up window to order, you’ll be waiting even longer because the cater to the drive-thru first. Just go to the Burger King that’s right next door.

Oh my goodness the cashiers in this place are horrible. They were loud & obnoxious while we placed the order. They didn’t even want us to buy a homeless man food. One of the girls was telling the cashier not to accept the payment.

Where else can you get cheaper food in downtown? You know youre ghetto when you dine here after seeing a play at the Arsht Center. Bonus points if you take your meal w/you to eat while watching the play. EXTRA bonus points if you took MetroMover to get there.

After leaving Ultra at Midnight we stopped here two nights. The line was long and did take some time to get through. I would say it took a while because it was so long, but it looks like this place is know for slow service. However, I was pleasantly rewarded when I got the front of the line. Shortly after ordering my milkshake, I got it! They make the milkshakes right where you pay so drinks are a fast delivery. Then came the wait, My milkshake did keep me company for a little, but the wait was long enough that I almost finished my milkshake before I got my burger and fries. Minus one star here. For burgers, here is my relative scale: McDonald’s would receive 1 star while while In-And-Out Burger would receive 5 stars. Checker’s burgers are way better than anything McDonald’s makes, but I didn’t see the quality of burger you get from In-And-Out. The fries were big and plentiful, but they didn’t seem as fresh or warm as the fries from In-And-Out. Checks is midway between McDonald’s and In-And-Out, but minus one star for service.

Deep in the heart of the ghetto, you will find this fine establishment. Its a kinda«damned if you do, damned if you don’t» eatery. Lets quick evaluate that statement! IFYOUDO… decide to go through drive through, you will have the distinct pleasure of waiting in line for 20 minutes; for food which you know was already made an hour ago, and has been sitting in the warmer bin. Along with the beautiful waiting periods, you also get the excitement of trying to decipher what they are saying over the intercom, and risk the chance of driving off only to realize your burger still has pickles on it, and the fries are cold, and crap, they forgot ketchup and my straw. IFYOUDON“T… you are embarking on the adventure of a lifetime, not totally sure you will walk away from the pick up window without being stabbed for your burger n fries by the lovely patrons that congregate in the parking lot. You also again have the distinct pleasure of catching a glimpse through the window at the internal operations, and the people that work there. Seriously, McDonald’s is just a few short blocks away, and they have a taco bell next to em to! A true two for one!

I’ve stopped here a few times, primarily because it’s convenient since it’s located downtown and right on Biscayne. However, as other reviewers have mentioned, the service is always slow and it takes a while to get your food, regardless of what time of day you come here. During this visit, they got 3 strikes. First, the woman taking the orders over the drive-thru speaker didn’t have any customer service skill whatsoever and acted as if she was too lethargic to take my order. The woman at the pickup window was friendly, but when I asked for ketchup for my fries, she told me they were out(how is it possible for a place that features burgers and fries to be out of ketchup at 6:30 p.m. on a weekend?) and when I was about to eat, I found that they got my order wrong and I didn’t get the burger that I’d asked for. Will I return here in a pinch and strictly out of convenience? Maybe. However, with 5 Guys located several blocks away, I won’t stop here again unless I need to.

The service here is not only bad. It’s UNBELIEVABLY bad. They wouldn’t even open the take-out window to take my order even after I tried to place it outside by the electronic order station and they just garbled some message. I had to bang on the window for them to open it even though they insisted that they wouldn’t open the order. The manager had to open the window and I had to explain that I’m deaf and I have no idea what was being said by the garbly machine. The workers here(and I’ve been here more than 5 times) have NO respect whatsoever for the customers. No sensitivity training and no idea of what customer service entails. Here, the customer is ALWAYSWRONG. AVOID.
