History
Established in 1975.
In 1980 Mary Tyre, a new single mom with 2 boys 6 & 12 bought Consignment Corner. It was a small 750 sq. ft. store housing only childrens’ clothing. She had always been a recycler way before it was fashionable. In those days there was only church rummage sales. In 1964 she went to Denver, Colo. for 2 years & worked at a consignment store there, fell inlove with the business & it became a dream to one day own a store of her own. Mariage & children prevented her dream from becoming a reality until she divorced in 1980. Since that time she has grown into a consignment department store moving from the little store into over 5,000 sq. feet of pure consignment heaven. Room after room of everything you can imagine from clothing to home wares to designer & jewelry. In the same shopping center since inception in 1975. Mary pioneered consignment in Dade County & has been teaching & helping Pinecrest to recycle for all these years. Stop by & visit this family owned business.
