Dr. Weiner and staff are incredibly good. Nurys my hygenist has been doing my cleanings for years. She is friendly, knowledgable and excellent with her cleanings. Dr. Weiner is kind and has very good bedside manners in addition to obviously being a great dentist. The offices are new which makes the visit that much nicer.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Weiner for over two (2) years and would never consider another dentist in Miami. He is unbelievably knowledgeable, professional and personable. Most importantly, … I trust him to provide me with sound and thoughtful medical advice.
His dental practice is also design with contemporary finishes and equipped with the most up to date dental technology. I never dread my dental appointments always leaving with a brighter smile!

Dr. Weiner is as good as it gets! He is kind and considerate and, more importantly, is an excellent dentist. Moreover, he never tries to «sell» you won’t you don’t need, always opting for a conservative approach, which patients appreciate. HIs office staff is great as well. If you need a dentist convenient to downtown, Brickell, and the surrounding areas, you cannot go wrong with Dr. Weiner.

My family and I have been coming to see Dr. Weiner and his fabulous staff for close to twenty years now. We have moved around and while the office is now considerably farther from where we live and work, my husband and I would never dream of going anywhere else. I am absolutely petrified of dental work; I have a very low threshold for pain. Dr. Weiner is not only incredibly skilled but the work he has performed on my teeth has always been beautiful and pain free. Niuris, his dental hygienist, is the only person I trust to clean my teeth painlessly and thoroughly. They, as well as their entire staff, are professional, friendly, and fully committed to their patients.

My experience
Setting the Appointment: My local orthodontist recommeded a different dentist, however since they were not «in-​network» with my insurance company, I called around to different places in Miami to find one that was so that I could get a standard cleaning 100% covered by my insurance (aka completely free). I specifically asked the receptionist this, and she assured me they were in-​network with my insurance company (ends up they are out-​of-​network and just wave the co-​pay but still I had to pay a $ 50 deductible… not sure if she lied or if she is just incompetent… I literally only came here because she told me it was in-​network). That’s not even the end of it…
First Attempt:
11:30 am: an example of the staff’s brilliance– the tech administering my x-​rays sees my smile and says «oh you still have baby teeth.» I reply to her «no these are called peg laterals»… (yes, I just explained what peg laterals are to my dentist’s technician). Next she says to me «When are you going to get a cleaning?» … (yes, I came here for the sole purpose of getting my teeth cleaned) I reply «I am here today to get a cleaning. That is why I scheduled an appointment» at which point without explanation, she leaves. Now I am sitting in my chair watching CNN with no idea what is going on. (Wasting precious time, I need to get back to work). She reappears, I ask her «Could you please explain to me what is going on. I thought I was getting my teeth cleaned?» Then the Dentist appears apologizing and explaining that one of the dental hygenists called off work last minute due to a medical emergancy and they could not provide me with a cleaning. To add to the good news, I am informed that the dentist is actually «out-​of-​network» but he waves the co-​pay as a courtesy. (Oh well its still free right…) At this point he tells me I can come back later that day at 4 pm. So I leave without my teeth cleaned. [Suggestion: At least, let me know the situation when I first walk in so I can re-​schedule right away and save myself 45 min of wasted time.]
2:15 pm: While on a call with a client, I get 3 phone calls in a row from the same number; on the 3^rd call they leave a message. [Suggestion: Call once and leave a message. This is standard business edicate. Unless it is a life or death emergancy don’t call my phone 3 times in a row] I listen to the message; it is the receptionist asking me if I can «come in right now» because they had availability and the hygenist doesn’t want to stay «late» (4 pm)… (I can’t drop everything and come in right away… I have one of those things called a JOB!!!) I re-​schedule for the next Tuesday, which actually worked better for my schedule. (So whatever)
Second Attempt:
1:45 pm: I arrive to my appointment, I am promptly taken back to the chair where a hygenist is ready to perform my cleaning. Hallelujah!!! Cleaning proceeds and is finished. I am not provided with a mirror to allow me to see if I am happy with the cleaning (which is standard procedure at every dental office I have been too), so I asked for a mirror to check that all the stain was removed. Begrudingly, I am given a mirror, and there is still quite a bit of stain on two of my lower incisors. I point out the stain one of the teeth and ask if she could please remove it. The hygenist then tells me that it is not stain, but rather it is the cementum showing. At which point I tell her that every other dentist I have ever gone to has always been able to remove the stain from that portion of my tooth. So she huffs, «I guess you know more than me, with my 27 years of experience, huh» (very professional). Then (big surprise) she is able to remove the stain once she actually tries. I then try to point out the second incisor that she missed, at which point she says she can’t see the stain and then pricks my gum so it begins to bleed, and then kicks me out of her chair and tells me the dentist will have to look at it (again very professional). He is flustered, but tries to deal with the situation. I tell him the stain is along by gumline. He «can’t see it either» and then pricks my gum again and it begins to bleed… AGAIN. At which point I give up. I tell him I am done. He apologizes and says they really are «perfectionists» and offers to not charge me. I reply, its fine my insurance covers it (I just wanted to leave). I then proceed to check-​out, at which time I am told I owe a $ 50 deductible because they are «out-​of-​network.» (So no co-​pay, but they still stick me with the deductible right after I tell the dentist «my insurance will cover it» Glorious). Either the receptionist I set the appointment with is incompetent or she lied to me, either way I walked out with my teeth partially cleaned after two appointments and had to pay $ 50 for it. Awesome.
Only positive: The dentist is nice and seems competent, but he is surrounded by an unprofessional, mediocre staff

Dr Weiner is amazing! I have had extensive dental work done throughout my life and going to the dentist causes me extreme anxiety. I’ve never felt more comfortable or taken care of. Before my initial consultation, Dr. W sat down with me and talked to me like we were old friends. Plus, their office is amazing. I had a filling done yesterday and it’s like it never even happened — perfect! I am so glad my search for a dentist is over — I won’t go any where else!

Dr. Weiner is the best! Seriously, everything is great! The staff is super friendly! Amazing results! Definitely my favorite dentist.

I wanted to make an appointment for teeth cleaning. The person who answered the phone told me that they do not accept new patients for teeth cleaning, without seeing the doctor, examination and taking X-​Rays… And of course I had to pay the full amount of visit, x-​ray and the examination cost. Btw, the person whom I spoke on the phone was super rude. I would have given 0 stars if I could.

I would highly recommend Dr Weiner. I had to go in to have 2 cavities filled and I was terrified. Dr Weiner and his staff were extremely patient and gave me plenty of time to relax before the procedure. They are very professional and took every measure to make sure I wasn’t in pain. The office is beautiful and the dental chair even has a massaging back in it! If you are looking for a dentist in the area, I can’t say enough good things about this office. I referred one of my co workers to the office the same day after my procedure because of my positive experience.

Dr. Weiner has been my dentist for 14 years. During that time, he and his technicians have always taken great care of me, from the routine to the complex: cleaning, cavities, crowns, whitening, root canals.…
It’s clear that I’m getting the most current care, because new treatments and new equipment are in place at every office visit. This high-​tech approach is nicely complemented by how kind and welcoming Dr, Weiner and his staff are.
Last, for those of you who are super-​busy: you can be confident that this practice will accommodate your schedule, and you won’t wait long once you get to his office.

You know, you are always going to get THAT ONE PATIENT that if they do not get their way, they will go out of their way to ruin the reputation of a wonderful and professional practice.
I’ve been a patient of Dr. Weiner’s office for over three years and not once have I EVER experienced anything Chazan G. below has mentioned. Jennifer has ALWAYS been super friendly, professional, polite and caring. She is always on top of everything from verifying insurance coverage prior to my appointment (to avoid any surprises) to calling my insurance company to follow up on a claim reimbursement. Every time I have an appointment at Bayfront Dental, Jennifer knows who I am, calls me by my first name and always smiles. Never have I once seen her moody or arrogant.
Chazan G. should really consider what she writes before posting slanderous, libelous, and words leading to character defamation. Everyone is allowed to have a bad day and rant, but not to the point where you try to ruin someone’s reputation by false accusations. How are you going to believe someone whose ONLY THREE REVIEWS are one star? She only updated one of them to five stars AFTER receiving a full refund.

UPDATE: Funny how within the same day, the disgruntled reviewer mentioned above removed two of her one star reviews, left only her updated five star review, and the one star for Bayfront Dental. I see she knew exactly what I was referring to. What are we, in high school all over again?

I had a dental emergency on Saturday March 8, 2014; my front tooth crown broke in half! One of my coworkers highly recommended Dr. Weiner so I called his office Saturday afternoon. Dr. Weiner’s after hour emergency contact took my information and Dr. Weiner’s dental assistant Ivette called me back right away and the Doctor offered to see me the next morning. I was extremely grateful that Dr. Weiner and Ivette agreed to tend to my emergency on SUNDAY, especially since I was a new patient and this was the first time I was going to him. Dr. Weiner was great and was able to help with my emergency. I cannot thank Dr. Weiner and Ivette enough for taking over two hours of their time on Sunday to help me get my smile back ;) Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! You have a new patient for life!!!

I had a bad experience trying to make an appointment at this dentist office.
I called the doctors Weiner office to make an appoint today, March 5^th 2014. i tried to call several times and someone, I guess his secretary, was extremely rude and arrogant! Her name was JENNIFER.
I am a new patient, trying to book an appointment for check up-​$ 125, cleaning$ 125 and whitening$ 545, according to her. I have no insurance to cover it all so I would be paying for it all myself. She turned me off by being so rude and dismissed. I can not believe how doctors allow themselves to be involved with a such lack of professionalism and respect in the office. I am sure and I believe the doctor is good but unfortunately the way his office runs is not good and kept me away to be his patient. My husband went to the same college as Dr Weiner and he was very shocked while listening on the speakerphone how his secretary was handling a future patient. We complaint to her and she said she doesn’t care! Very frustrating. Well, I know there are many dentists out there and I am sure there must be some really good ones as I thought Dr Weiner would be, so I will have to find someone else and forget this shocking and unfortunately experience with a doctors secretary. II hope Dr Weiner will read this and as a person who comes from a family doctor, I strongly recommend him address this issue with his secretary and find someone who likes to work, more respectful and professional, so he can better assist his patients and build a better reputation giving his future patients a respectful phone call appointment. Be aware of that name Jennifer when you ring his office. Maybe she will get better after knowing her attitude has been posted. but for us, that was a Bad experience!

Don’t judge a book by its cover, but it’s okay to judge someone by their teeth.
My mom was an orthodontic assistant during my childhood. I spent a lot of time in her office, got braces, worked there briefly, etc, so teeth mean a lot to me! I actually floss and go for regular cleanings so I’ve never had a traumatizing experience. *knocks on wood*
I love the dentist, and I love THIS dentist. The staff is outstandingly sweet and funny, much more personable than the crabby pants people you have to deal with in most offices. I got seen within 10 minutes of my appointment and from the get-​go I felt welcomed. Dr. Weiner gets a kick out of what he does and you’re going to see that from speaking with him. He walked me through my x-​rays (a first for me, I’m typically nosy and go through them with my mom) and when he noticed my old bonding was looking less than perfect he polished and shaped it. It made a HUGE difference and I wasn’t even expecting it! Talk about a pleasant surprise.
I appreciate Unilocalers giving credit where credit is due because it makes finding good practices that much easier! So here I am, spreading the word. :)

I’ve been to so many dentists in my life and many in Miami. I’m SO glad I found Dr. Weiner. He’s by far the best dentist in this city.
The ladies on his staff are so nice and helpful and remember you by name. Dr. Weiner has the greatest bedside manner. He loves to get to know his patients and is just a happy guy. You can tell he loves what he does. I think the most important thing is that he’s not in it to make money. He wants to make the best decisions for you so he won’t try to tell you that you need an expensive procedure if you don’t.
I had to have a deep cleaning (yes, I was lazy & didn’t go the dentist for two years). It’s not the most pleasant procedure but they made it pretty pain free. He also has this awesome gadget that he puts in your mouth when he’s giving you the anesthesia. It vibrants and tricks your brain into not recognizing the pain signals. Sweet!
If you’re looking for a dentist, Dr. Weiner is your guy. There’s no one better in Miami.

I have been a patient of Dr. Weiner for over 20 years. I am very lucky to have been recommended to an honest and conservative dentist. Dr. Weiner and his staff truly care for their patients and are the epitome of a professional dental practice hands down.

So happy I switched to Dr. Weiner. I could not be happier, everyone at the office is so nice and honest on what I really need done. I recently had my filling redone and I can now finally eat on the left side of my mouth.

I’d heard so many horror stories about dentists in South Florida that I did months of research and read countless reviews before choosing Dr. Weiner’s office. And even then I was still pretty nervous when I arrived for my cleaning, exam, and X-​rays this morning.
I’ll confess right now: I am a nervous patient. More than nervous, actually. I don’t like taking medication so I tend to go for the laughing gas instead – effective, no side effects, and I can drive myself home. What’s not to like? (That the hissing sound always reminds me of Little Shop of Horrors is a side benefit.)
I shopped around until I found a dentist willing to give me nitrous oxide during every procedure, including cleanings. The staff were kind, helpful, and clearly knew what they were doing. Dr. Weiner himself has a great chairside manner and takes the time to chat with you and put you at ease during your visit. They never tried to upsell me or push me into procedures I didn’t need – one exam and cleaning and set of X-​rays later and I was given a perfect bill of oral health. Always such a relief…
The nitrous made the cleaning a breeze and the hygienist was gentle but thorough. Overall I had a very good experience here and will be bringing my children for their own cleanings next week. Nice guy this Dr. Weiner. I had a fairly large and old onlay (21 years old) fall out at lunch yesterday. My regluar dentist couldn’t squeeze me in until the next day. I called Dr. Weiner’s office who both saw me and placed the onlay back on my tooth within an hour.
He could have upsold me on a replacement and dragged the proceedure out, all the while racking up a nice bill; fortunately he did not. I was very pleased he choose to use the old on lay. The tooth feels like it did for the last 21 years.
I thank him for his honesty and integrity.

I have hated dentists for decades, but Dr. Weiner truly makes it as painless as possible. The location is perfect for anyone living in the downtown or Brickell areas. I had an abscessed tooth (ouch) and he worked me in as a walk-​in and had me on my way and nearly pain-​free quickly. Unfortunately, I’ve seen way too much of him this year, but I have never had a bad experience.
