Pleasantly surprised to find this gem at the corner of my house. Located in a busy street but usually I just drive by and never really pay attention. Last night we stopped in and we were met with a friendly waitress that gave us the daily specials. The food was great and so were the prices. I will definitely be coming back.

Servicio atento.

My boyfriend was in the mood for some fresh fish so he took me to this spot that he had heard from a friend. When we got there it definitely looked like a small little mom’s&paps it wasn’t a restaurant that was glamorous inside but it felt like it’s been there for so long just based on there fresh catch fish that was there daily. I ordered there fried Mahi Mahi with white rice with tostones. The order came right away and the women that took our order was very helpful on letting us know what was the best plates to order she recommended there lobster bisque which is one of my favorites delicious!!! One of there specialties is there ceviche but I didn’t not try it but I did see others order it and it looked yum! They only thing I didn’t like was there outside dinning needed some help and there bathrooms weren’t that great. A def. Nice spot for some quick lunch there prices range from $ 10.00 thru $ 25.00 on plates.

This place has been around for years. I have personally had for over 20 years. The quality of the food is no where near what it used to be. I had seafood rice today and it was tasteless. The conch fritters we’re ok. I think they need to revamp their management. I would hate to see this place fall apart.

We went to this restaurant on a recommendation but honestly it was not all that. We had some empanadas those were pretty good but we ordered shrimp enchiladas which were very bland. I’ve had way better than these I was really disappointed. One more thing the bathroom is a bit nasty.

One star rating is generous. STAYAWAY! Came for dinner with my boyfriend on a Friday night, ordered the octopus to start off… when it arrived and I took the first bite I almost spit it back out of my mouth, in my entire life have I had such hard octopus, the tires on my car might of been easier to chew on. Not fresh at all… had probably been sitting in a bucket for a few days before making it to our table Service was horrible, as the waitress was taking our order(Nancy) she left mid conversation to go do God knows what, then came back 10 minutes later and finished taking our dinner order. extremely rude and careless Overall not a happy camper. beware of this place. horrible food, even worse service

If you are in the neighborhood craving an empanada and a café con leche, the little outside area here kicks comfortable ass. The food inside is good, but there are other reviews for that stuff. If you want a truly tasty snack while the South Florida breeze gently(and oftentimes humidly) sweeps your hair, check it out.

So my girlfriend and I were in the mood for some seafood. We decided to try this place out. It looked decent from the outside and when you come in, it looked nice. But that’s about it. The waitresses were doing a football huddle behind the counter and weren’t very eager to seat us. When they did manage to break away from their gossiping session and seat us, it wasn’t with the enthusiasm you would expect from a decent restaurant. So we sit and order our food. The appetizer: We asked for an order of tostones with some type of fish paste on top. The order consisted of 2 tostones. Somehow our server misunderstood our order and brought us out 2 orders. When we advised her of the mistake, she just gave us this empty, «you broke it, you bought it», stare. You know, the kind a 5 year old gives you when you catch him or her in a lie. The entrée: My girlfriend ordered fish, with rice and vegetables as the sides. The server brought her plantains and vegetables instead. We again advise her of her error, but she just gave us that look again. One would have expected a server to be quick to make the simple correction, but she just stood there. She was 2 seconds from telling us she could bring us a side of rice, at a charge of course, but we just wanted to finish and get out of there. The bill: After paying the bill, I look down on the table and observe a roach going grocery shopping on our table. But hey, at least he seemed more interested in his job than our server. Yay for the roach!!! Now, the food was tasty. Not bad at all. But good food and bad service is like a hot girl with bad teeth. I guess I should have had that Filet O’Fish at McDonalds after all. Oh and on a final note. The bathrooms were«Gas Station» nasty. I can only imagine what the kitchen looks like. Note: No roaches were hurt while eating at this restaurant.

Great place, low key spot where you can always get a table. I have been coming here for 15 years and I live 45 minutes away. Its quality. For perspective on what to order: fried fish, toasted plantains, oyster cocktail. Prices are great if you are coming for food.

Soon as I arrived I was greeted by a waiter who asked me to sit anywhere in the restaurant. After being seated I received salted crackers and lemons, then the corona I asked for. To fast forward, the food was delicious! The chefs know what they are doing in the kitchen. Good service, does need improvement but overall it’s a family owned restaurant that does not disappoint with the amazing and delicious food.

Located on Bird Road near 132nd Avenue, the location is easily visible from the road. It’s exterior resembles a old fish shanty with blue awnings and ample parking. My first impressions were not very positive. My arrival went unnoticed for several minutes as I hovered by the front entrance casually glancing at the fish counter. Only after I had«harumphed» several times, was I ackowledged by the trio of waitresses gossiping behind the counter. The menu offered a multitude of choices and seemed rather disorganized. The specials were grouped together but not clearly identified. There were several platters offered as well as a variety of grilled and fried options for local fish. I asked the waiter for a suggestion and his answer was«I don’t eat fish.» I decided on a fish soup and fried shrimp. A typical lunch order that has served me well to gauge the quality and consistency of both the service and the freshness of the food. The Fish Soup with Rice tasted overly salty and had very little fish flavor. It was served with crackers that appeared crumbled and mishandled. The fried shrimp(an order of six) were flat, over breaded, and definitely tasted like frozen product. I was not very impressed. «Why would a restaurant that advertises fresh seafood use frozen product?» I may not re-visit this restaurant only because I am very wary of eating at locations that advertise«fresh» and use primarily frozen product for their most basic dishes. It shows a lack of enthusiasm for the food and it disrespects the patrons. If anyone else has had a different experience, I would be glad to listen.

I was not a fan of this place… I ordered the ceviche. The fish didn’t taste the freshest and it was very tough. Maybe i just went on an off day for the restaurant?

Good seafood in west Kendall that offers daily specials and lunch specials but, mediocre service this is a Cuban restaurant that is known for its seafood. the food is delicious and the plates are large. if you ever do go try the Crema de Langosta soup.
