Duarte Ana Margarita MD Pediatric Dermatology

Not professional, not caring, and with the years she has turned worse. I can’t say the same about her staff, they are helpful, same thing with her Pas, but Dr. Duarte herself doesn’t really care about her patients because her practice has turned so big she’s not even there any more. Go something else who cares if you can.

Soooo professional, dermatologist sees a 16 year old and the first thing she says is «wow! You really have acne» wayy to go doctor! Thats what ever teen wants to hear (which btw he doesnt have a loooot of acne he has a normal amount for a teenager) then she asks him to take his shirt off and then she says «wow you also have strech marks» since when do doctors say «wow» for everything? Why did you think we went to see a specialist? Just fix it! Dont be a bully!!! Then the best part is that we ask her if what she prescribes is accutane and she says no, then we pick up the formula and guess what? It is! And i dont even want to get started with the front desk! Wow is that terrible service!

if I could give this place zero stars I would. They have a very fancy coral gables location you can book via appointments online… blah blah blah… although the Dr. (not Duatre) was very nice and I did not experience a long wait time… everything else was horrible… the girl in the front desk looks like she hates her job. or just people in general. and 3 days later my 22 month old daughters prescriptions have not been called in to the pharmacy… so you figure give them a call and see what the hold up is??? Good Luck… no one answers the phone you are prompted to leave a message (that no one responds) or send an email (that no one responds)… I guess I will have to take some more time off work to take my daughter to her pediatrician with the treatment instructions that were provided (that contain the medication names) so hopefully she can write me the prescriptions… common sense would tell you that if someone takes the time to bring their child to a skin specialist it is because the child is suffering and other treatments have not worked and for these people not to call in a prescription… that is just plain careless… I will never go there again and I will never recommend this place to anyone.

Take it from a medical professional, go elsewhere. We had an appointment (scheduled over a month ago) at the children’s hospital location, and when we arrived (on time) there were approximately 30+ people in the waiting room!!! Best part: no receptionist!!! Everyone just signed in their name looking around cluelessly and sat on the floor to wait. Unreal!!! I have never seen anything like this! I am a veterinarian, and I would never let a client of mine sit in a waiting room with their dog for more than 15 mins. It is deplorable for a pediatrician to do such a thing to parents and their kids.
Why do doctors schedule so many patients at the same time? This is poor quality medicine! Volume should NEVER supersede quality of care and patient experience.

Dr. Duarte was great after my daughter’s chin accident. We took her in on very short notice and the Dr. did a wonderful job closing her wound. The scare is nearly invisible now. It’s hard to describe the feeling of relief, calm, gratitude that you feel when a great Dr. takes proper care of your kid.

Went in to get my tattoo removed and could already see great results after just one treatment. Dr. Duarte is very sweet and personable. Everyone was very knowledgeable and comforting. Would recommend to all my friends

Be patient, this may take a while. Although I’ve never seen Dr. Duarte, I have no complaints. Not sure why I was scheduled with the PA instead both times. One for eval and the other time follow up. Ugh forget her name but very sweet and knowledgeable. I would recommend this place to a friend.

Here are the facts:
I made a 9am appointment online via ZocDoc to see Dr. Duarte at the Gables office and I spoke with Alexandra. My appointment was not on their books, but she found it after looking online.
1. I made an appointment to see Dr. Duarte but was advised she only goes into the Gables office one a month. — - — Ok, I get it. It’s a big practice and I’m flexible.
2. I was advised that the doctor on site did NOT take my insurance, and I’d be looking at a minimum of $ 300 out of pocket just to see the doctor. — - — This is the first time I’ve encountered a practice where different doctors accept different insurances and if this is the case, you should make it more obvious or proactively advise customers
3. I was advised that they could squeeze me in to see Dr. Duarte at another location in the afternoon. — - — I work; I took time off to get this accomplished!
4. I was asked to call back to confirm insurance info, although ZocDoc has all of the info. — - I was given a different number than the published because, and I quote, «The main number (305−669−6555) isn’t really answered.»
5. The point above explains why I was on hold for 15 minutes while on my way to the office as I wanted to confirm parking.
I ended up making an appointment to see Dr. Duarte on ⁴⁄₂₈ but part of me wanted to cancel the new appointment I made and go with another office all together.
The other part of me wants to keep the appointment, to meet Dr. Duarte face to face and make sure she knows how inefficiently her practice is being run.
Based on the office managers response to my concerns, I decided to go with another dermatologist.

HORRIBLE!!! Estoy esperando por más de 2 horas y vinieron 6 personas a preguntar lo mismo que escribí en la historia clínica.No se quiénes son… yo vine a ver a la Dr. Duarte y no otra gente .ya estoy molesta con ganas de irme!

Bring your patience because not only will you be waiting for at least an hour but there will be kids screaming.
I’ve seen Dr. Usmani twice already and even though she’s very knowledgable and explains everything she’s about to do, the wait time and how long it takes to make an appointment, makes it hard to want to continue coming here.

horrible, rude, not parking space, bad, bad…

Horrible dermatologist… She rushes in and out… I’ve been trying to get rid of my acne and this lady is no help. I’ve tried everything that she recommends. Super expensive for nothing. Facials that are offered there are horrible the lady talks too much an doesn’t remove as much… I can’t believe it’s been over 4 years and nothing. To top it all off the receptionists are rude… They clearly don’t know how to manage time… I always had to wait 2 hrs min. Ridic

Fast, but impersonal. You only spend two minutes with the lady. You get the feeling she wants to get in and out as fast as possible. Which she does. On the plus side, her staff was really kind.
