I had pollo…, I forgot exactly what I had, but my companion had the lomo saltado. He liked it, and I remember liking my dish but it was obviously not fantastic since I can’t remember exactly what it was, although I do remember it was a little on the dry side. I remember the portion sizes were pretty good considering the price. The lady who waited on us was friendly and helpful to us tourists. I gave 3 stars mostly based on value, then again I’m used to paying like 16 – 20 bucks for a dish like this elsewhere, so this may or may not seem like a good value to someone else.

This place is the most authentic home made peruvian food restaurant in the block. They make the best papa a la huancaina and Tallarines verdes. If you are looking for TASTE, this is a great place you can find that. The service is good and they are very, very friendly. It is not a fancy place to go too and it is very«pollada» style. It is cash only and the price is very affordable. Enjoy!

On sundays this Salsodromo has outdoors musical gaiety and home cooked puruvian cuisine. Last I went I had a big bowl of some form of peruvian pozole, goat with delicious sauce, frijoles and rice with aji, and my friends got a gigantic piece of fried chicken. quite delicious, and not what you expect when you eat peruvian.
