Specialties

RATED #5 of top 10 Miami shopping spots by USATODAY! We specialize in unique, affordable, trendy gifts handcrafted by artisans from over 35 countries. We guarantee you won’t see these items anywhere else on your journeys. Our lightweight fashion tunics, shrugs and double weave cotton outfits are terrific! Designer artisan jewelry in Tagua nut, sea glass and sand take recycling to a new fashion level. Our shop is located on the gorgeous esplanade between two historic buildings: The Biltmore Hotel and Coral Gables U.C.C Church, built in 1925. Both are open to the public and make great stops while visiting in the area.

History

Established in 2008.

The Shop is an outreach ministry of the Coral Gables Congregational UCC Church .The new Senior Pastor, Rev. Laurie Hafner had envisioned the shop when she came to Miami from Cleveland, Ohio in 2006. She wanted to support artisans, primarily women, who make the items and receive fair living wages. The Fair Trade movement does not allow child labor, ensures safe working conditions and protects the environment by using only renewable materials. The shop opened in the Fall of 2008 and became a beloved addition to the neighborhood.
