I’ve been here a few times but I never know their hours of operation. Food is delicious, but when they are supposedly open, they aren’t.

The food was great tasting, but everything else about this restaurant, was terrible. Ordered: mangu with shrimp — $ 17 Mangu with masitas de puerco — $ 13 I found the cost of both dishes to be high, for what it is(you can get similar in Cuban restaurant for $ 8-$ 10) but it tasted good, so moving on from that. The restaurant itself has zero décor. Its doors are incredibly difficult to open. It needs a roof/paint job. It looks like a warehouse with tables inside. Service was terrible. We were the only people seated in the entire restaurant. Food took well over 15 mins. They don’t offer anything to munch on, maybe some chips or bread would help their situation. Waiter got lost several times. The table cloth had food stains. Waiter was rude to my 4 year old over her folding the paper doilet. Meh — - if I ever crave Dominican again, I will be sure to order«to go».

First time here. My husband ordered the Dominican breakfast, and a drink called«mori soñando», which translates to «I died dreaming». It was a lemony/milk. We also tried squished banana with the breakfast. Everything was good, we didn’t have to wait long got breakfast, and it was a great alternative to Sergio’s(I hate that place).

Sorry to say! But Horrible Customer service. The waitress is careless and the food horrible. I hope the owner can read this review and do something about it. Good location but the business is a fail!

I really don’t see what all the bad reviews are about. My mom had been telling me about this place and how much she liked it since she went with one of her Dominican friends and she was right. The food was super good I got macitas de puerco with salad and French fries and it was delicious and I am usually really picky with everything I eat. My moms food was also good and the mofongo was amazing. And for desert I had coco rallado and I really liked it. Give this place a try

Terrible attention, a delay of more than 30 minutes to receive the order, and another 20 minute delay to pay.

The place was amazing! Its a hidden gem! The food was complete authentic dominican cuisine! And the service was great! They have ice cold beer and their rabo encendio was out of hand! The ox tail ive been searching for all over town finally found it. And the dominican cake omg! Definitely will come back!

Very dirty Terrible Food Awful Service. I was yelled at by the waitress! I ordered from the lunch menu at 12:30pm and was served a plate from the dinner menu. When the waitress asked if I liked the food and I said not really, she started Yelling(yes capitalized) at me saying that this is how they cooked and everybody likes the food and had dare I say that I didn’t like it! Then when the bill came I asked why the price was different from the menu and she pointed to the price on the dinner menu. I asked why she would serve me from the dinner menu since it was lunch, she said since I didn’t specify I probably wanted a bigger portion. What her logic was I don’t know!!! It was my first time eating at a Dominican restaurant, and I am so sad that it was such a bad experience

I came on the recommendation of a colleague who knows about authentic Dominican cuisine and is a friend of an employee at the establishment. I couldn’t have been more disappointed. My girlfriend ordered a morirsoñando, seeing that it was listed on the menu, but the waitress said that she would check to see if they were serving it that day. She came back saying that they had the ingredients but that the cook did not want to make it. After assertively demanding for it, they gave in and brought us one. Then we ordered a basket of kipes, which was listed on the menu as six in quantity and then my girlfriend asked if they had smaller portions and the waitress said yes, and they brought out a basket of three kipes(which were really good). I ordered a Mondongo stew(which was good). After finishing the meal and taking a quick restroom break, I arrived back at the table to hear my girlfriend say that the waitress was bringing out coffee, because, according to the waitress, I had placed an order. I turned around to find the waitress at the bar and told her to cancel the order, because i had never placed such an order. When we finally got the check, they were charging us the 3 kipes that we got for the price of 6. The waitress had to call the owner to see if she could resolve the issue. After much, and i mean MUCH, prodding, the owner agreed to lower the price. As a previous reviewer noted, I can confirm that the water did appear tainted, after taking the last sip as we were getting ready to leave. BOTTOMLINE: The awful service will prevent me from coming back.

Came here today for lunch since we were in the area and felt like trying something new. Place was quite empty, only one other table to be exact. We sat down right away and were greeted promptly. Once it was time to order I got a bit frustrated as a couple of items on the menu were not available. There was no chicken soup or Caesar salad, no dressings at all for the house salad(except oil which I don’t do), and they only had one item from the kids menu(friend chicken chunks, nothing else). My husband ordered bistec salteado and I went with the bistec encebollado. We decided to skip ordering for our son. Food took a while, considering we were the only ones waiting to be served. It would have helped it they had some bread or chips to keep us entertained while we waited. Once we got the food we were pleased with presentation, portion(lunch size) and taste. It was pretty yummy. We might return to try other things on the menu and it will definitely be during non busy hours like today because otherwise I think it would take way too long. They should also make sure they have items available and start providing dressings for the salads.

Walked in this place and I got an overpowering sensation of food poisoning! My mother, however was trying to be optimistic about it, and we stayed even though I suggested we leave immediately. Upon entering, there were 2 kids running around, no customers and 1 waitress. The waitress was very dry and rude. We ordered water to start, except my son did not get the water I ordered him. I rather you forget my water than my son’s water. When I asked her for it, she gave me attitude. We got up and left.

One of the things that I like most of this place is that I feel like I am back at my home town in Dominican Republic. You are treated with care, respect and great customer service experience. Since my last visit, they have improved in speed of service and accuracy. I would definitely recommend this place

This is going to be a very short but to the point review. We ordered 2 Mondongos for delivery(our first time ordering from this restaurant), for a whopping $ 30 dollars for two orders with just rice. The Mondongo was MIA(Missing in Action), very small pieces of Mondongo with lots of salty broth, We’re from the Caribbean and know what Mondongo should look and taste like, Sorry this was not it. First and last time ordering from this place. WEGOTROBBED!, By the way I was being very generous to rate this a 1 star restaurant, heed my warning STAYAWAY!

Place was completely empty while the hubs and myself where there but there where several take out orders rather than dine-ins. We ordered the small Bandeja Hacienda as an appetizer. No complaints. It was a good size for the two of us and everything tasted good. For entrees, we ordered mofongo con carne de res and Oxtail(Rabo) with rice and beans and avocado. The monfongo was a little on the dry side but it was very tasty and it was served with the caldo de pollo so everything worked out. The oxtail seemed like it could have used a bit more time cooking. It was not undercooked but it was not fall off the bone tender and it was a little, just slightly under-seasoned. The rice was good and the red beans were ok but it was a high bean liquid to bean ratio. The service was good. Slightly under par for us being the only people dining in but I will admit to being a stickler about service. Overall, a pleasant experience. Will return or take away very soon!

Horrible customer service. The food was mediocre at best but the staff needs a few lessons on how to treat people. Glad I know so I can avoid this place.

Disgusted. I stopped by to grab something to eat and made my way to the bathroom and was told by one of the two employees in this dark lonely place the bathroom is for customers only by a scream across from the other side of the room. Offended I said ok and left this place. I will never be back and recommend anyone that appreciates good customer service to do the same. By seeing the service I can imagine what the food is like.

I came here for lunch with a Dominican friend of mine and I must say the food was tasty. I had the mofongo with cerdo frito(mashed fried plantains with fried pork). The mofongo had lots of pork crackling in it which could be a good thing or a bad thing because it kept sticking to my teeth. They aerve it with a broth on the side that was good. The fried pork chunks were a bit on the tough side but tasty. My friend had a traditional breakfast, yes for lunch, and it consisted of mangoo(boiled and mashed plantains) with fried eggs, salami, and fried cheese. It all tasted good but way to greasy for me. Yes there is a lot of frying stuff going on around here and you really notice it when you walk out and the smell ispermeated in your hair and clothes. The really need a better extractor. The people there are very nice. An elderly lady who does the cooking came out several times to see how we were doing and if we were enjoying the food. I am looking forward to trying one of their lunch specials next time but I may have them deliver it instead of eating it there to avoid the fried food perfume.
