Jeff and JR have sold the business and its not the same. Went in the other day to have my tire patched and they destroyed my rim while removing and reinstalling and the guy wasn’t even going to say a word to me. At least the gave me the patch job for free after destroying a $ 500 rim.
After so many years I need to find another tire company.

New owners. Not the same. I got 4 new tires. When I went to leave, I noticed that had not put the valve covers on. I pointed it out and they put them on. No apology though. Now, a week later one of the valves is leaking /​spewing out air. It’s a holiday and they are closed. We’ll see what they do tomorrow after hours to help me.

Some my run flat tires popped and I needed tires ASAP. Called around a few places by me and then I remembered Howie’s. Since there aren’t many Unilocal reviews this place doesn’t t pop up right away. the quoted me the best price for 4 ties they were nearly$ 100 less than the other places I called around to. I got there and my tires were not there so I got a spare tire put on by them and came back later that afternoon for my new tires. Service was fast, and friendly. Oh yeah and honest!

You know, you don’t find shops like this anymore. Where the guy at the front desk is the owner, who inherited the shop from his dad, Howie.
Great customer service! Very knowledgable! In and out within an hour with four brand new Michelins at a great price! There’s a reason they’ve been there 42 years. Took me back to a kinder, gentler time. I’ll be back for more…
