History

Established in 2008.

Las Tias is a wonderland for lovers of vintage things. The shop in the heart of the artsy Wynwood District brims with funky retro stuff: lamps and glassware, clothing, hand-​painted abanicos (hand fans), jewelry and classy foulard. If you are the kind of person who remembers your grandmother’s dresser with nostalgia, this is the place for you. It all started in 2008, when internationally known real estate businesswoman Esther Percal and some of her best girlfriends turned their passion for shopping and their dream of owning a resale shop into a fabulous reality. Focused on providing the customer with something unique and different, the ladies of Las Tias have a vast collection and display the contents in aesthetically pleasing ways to bring new possibilities to the piece.

They are clueless about what they carry in the store and its very overpriced. They use fancy words to describe their items but don’t actually have any proof to show that the items are as valuable as they describe in regards to their manufacturing years, material, etc. They also sell damaged stuff and call it «antique» and put a high price tag on it. You are better off buying online on Tradesy and visit the antique market show in Lincoln Rd. for furniture needs, mirrors, art, etc.

Very pretty displays but that is about it. Personally didn’t find the staff friendly. They did not even bother acknowledging me. The stuff seems over priced. $ 62 for a no-​name dress with a rip in it. $ 1500 for a bonded leather chase? Nope. Not worth it. Too bad. The place it very pretty inside.

Great consignment shop. Yes, a little pricey, but they have a back room where things that have been there for almost the 90 day limit, get marked way down. They only take nice things, so you aren’t going to get something for super cheap. But if you like interesting, eclectic pieces, this is the spot. I saw at least 20 things I wanted. They also have a selection of designer clothes for women, again, very «good» pieces. The staff are super nice and helpful. Put a lot of money in the meter, because you will want to take your time in here, and go around it a few times. Nicely laid out, fun place.

Big, airy space in which there are many beautiful items. Furniture, clothing, books, accessories, you name it! Prices were not even as exorbitantly out of my price range as I was expecting! I imagine I will be making many perusals as it is near a favorite restaurant.

I love this place! The staff is super friendly and the inventory is well-​curated! No matter if you want to spend a lot or a little, you can find it here. They have a nice mix of deco and mid-​century modern. Pop in frequently as they are always getting new stuff!
They also have a great selelction of women’s clothing. Last time I was there, I purchased 3 dresses (one of them a Lily Pulitzer) for a total of $ 70!

Happy we found this little gem driving around midtown Miami (I guess?). I thought the store would be little but it was surprisingly big and had a lot of fun vintage stuff.
We were on the hunt for some furniture but despaired at some of the prices. Until we found this cute little side table– wood with a nice slab of marble! Even has a mid century vibe to it with the pointed legs. Beautiful condition for only $ 108. The lady who worked there (one of the tias?) gave us an extra 10% discount which was nice. Now we have this nice side table and I know I’ll go back here from time to time.

This place is truly awesome. It has a variety of antique furnishings, from sofas, dining room sets, to mirrors and art pieces. I walked out with an amazing clutch and a super cute antique ash tray. The prices are a little steep, but they definitely try to help you out. Izzy and Terry were very kind and helpful. I would definitely come back!

Unfortunately small unique boutiques are few and far between in Miami… especially in the world of home furnishings. It was such a pleasure to find a vintage store with a well curated selection. Yes, the prices can be a bit steep — but they are willing to work with you on the price as well. As a result I now have an art deco lamp next on my side table. Definitely worth a look if you’re in the neighborhood — or even a shop that I would go off the beaten path to visit.

This is an interesting alternative, hybrid store, with vintage/​antique things on consignment from fancy clients, mixed with new items, mostly women’s jewelry and fans. You see really nice tasteful things, like 1st Dibs quality, next to others that are less spectacular but somehow charming, and you begin to question the value of worth. All in all it is a fun store to visit, very nice staff, and sometimes I find something to buy.

I’ve driven by this place a zillion times and always wanted to go in. Today, I actually turned into the parking lot, threw the car into park and walked my feet into Las Tias. The first thing I spotted was a GIANT Pucci Fabric print piece of art on the top left wall. Beautiful. Couches, art, jewelry, clothes, handbags, shoes, vases, picture frames, patio furniture, pillows … this place has it all. And it’s as much antique as it is eclectic. Be prepared, however, for price tags that will make you choke on your own saliva. I say that because I’m a seasoned vintage shopper and it seems a lot of these items may have been picked up at estate sales, thrift stores and yard sales and then marked up to the high heavens and back. I get it, someone had to find it, slap a coat of lacquer on it and bring some life back into it, but some of the price tags were a little outrageous. That being said, this place has an impressive collection. They have something for every taste. From Pucci to Old World charm, you’re bound to find a unique piece you’ll want to take home.

This is a neat little spot in the Wynwood Arts District. Having grown up in Miami and then lived in NYC the last 8 years, I’ve come to appreciate places like this. There are too few in Miami. They are what bring character and personality to a neighborhood, not another Best Buy or Wal-​Mart. This is a great place for a treasure hunt, and there are dozens of treasures. From vintage furniture to clothes, accessories, mirrors, you name it. And the owners (the tias) greet you at the door, dont hound you as you shop, but are extremely helpful if you have a question. Highly recommended.

If you’re looking for a bargain, I’m down with IKEA. However, if you’re looking for a well-​curated mix of vintage Florida furniture, funky current-​day art, and a subtly-​scented candle to finish off your place, Las Tias is one place you might want to check out. I’ve driven by it a few times, and then became too curious to not stop in. I wasn’t sure if it was ‘to the trade’ or a front for something more sinister, but (WHEW!) it’s just a lovely home furnishings store.
Things appear to be ‘one of a kind’, but don’t hold me to that. What you can hold me to is that you’ll find at least one item in the store that will intrigue you… perhaps not enough to bust out the wallet, but enough to give you a new decorating idea. I’ll definitely go back and, when the economy improves, might actually buy something cool. Until then, it’s IKEA and Grubstakes for me. Oh, and don’t feel bad. The place is looking hot nonetheless.
