Lessons In Your Home literally reached out to its students in 1997 when founder Jay Maurice began using people’s houses and schools as his studio.

Meet the Business Owner

Alana D.

Business Owner

Alana Dym is an active musician and music teacher in the Miami area. She began formal lessons in drums and percussion when she was 13, and furthered her studies at the University of Miami Frost School of Music where she studied classical percussion. There, she studied classical percussion under world-​renowned percussionist and composer, Ney Rosauro, Latin percussion under first-​call studio and touring musician, Richie Bravo, and jazz drum set under John Yarling. Alana is currently involved with various musical projects in Miami, performing regularly.
