Great service!!! My old Mac needed a replacement of the power supply. Other repair services in Miami just laughed at me on the phone when I mentioned my Imac model. They refused to even look at it. «Dump it and come over to buy a new one, were their words». Joel’s attitude was «Your computer is vintage, but bring it over and we will see what we can do, it sound like an easy fix». That’s a big difference with the rest. They are not only super professional, but also they treat you with great respect and the fees are very reasonable. I will come back anytime I need a repair and I will recommend them to all my friends.

He couldnt fix my laptop because of the Glue on the battery thing for the 2015 mac books pros. but he was such a big help leading me in the right direction. Super nice guy, would highly recommend!

I clicked and went to their website. I need to get a iMac fixed because it is dead. Doesn’t turn on, did last night, this morning, nothing
Called all numbers and got no answer at first, if they changed numbers then change the website to make it that when people need to call, then correct information on there.
Now not sure if I want to drive over there and may have to go to the Apple store @ Falls, so it will be expensive to repair a 2010 21.5″ iMac that will not, at all, power on.
Probably bad power supply but I don’t have the stuff to tear it apart to see…
Apple stuff is great, it’s all we use, but cost a lot and when it screws up cost a lot to repair, but last a long time.

They maybe good @ what they do… I used to do the same thing back in the 90’s, run my own business fixing PC’s. Back then Winblows was it. The good old days in Miami… memories…anyway
10:05 Guy called me back. Talked for a few minutes, going to bring it to them and he thinks maybe power supply issue. OK, if it’s $ 275 to fix ok… if it’s more, then this going to ebay for parts and move on. Paid $ 1154.00 for it back in 7÷17÷2010 w/​apple care so = 1296.00 divided by months (67), so it cost me $ 91.34 a month. Hope she got the use out of it…

Ok, this guy Joel, he is real cool.
I am NOT the only person in Miami that on this day, could not use their 2010 A1311 iMac 21.5″
There was another guy there, that used his last night and today, it was dead
Anyway, this guy he checked my iMac, took the glass & screen off… same power supply. Same problem.
Seem like it’s a thing happened to all 2010 A1311 iMac’s.
Anyway this guy is a REAL GOOD GUY.
If you EVER have a problem with you Apple product OR a PC then take it to this guy.
We talked about maybe he wanted to give space to customers and charge them for the space and such to not only bring it to fix it but to actually fix it yourself.
That sounds great BUT this is Miami, and in Miami people like to sue people. Honestly, in my opinion, the liability factor is too much present. So, Joel, don’t do it. Trust me, you’ll be better off with it.
Have a great day and like I said, you (the customer) has a problem with your iMac or Macbook or whatever and it’s out of warranty (and you don’t like the high prices at the Apple store or the Geek Squad) then come to this guy.

I was immediately helped by Joel at the front. He did diagnostics on my Mac right in front of me. No money was exchanged and he told me it really was not worth fixing my Mac. I was very impressed that he did not try to pull a fast one and try to fix something he knew was not a successful repair option. If I have issues with my new Mac I will definitely go back.

The best experience! I came to Joel with a water damaged Mac. Right as is stepped into the shop he preformed a diagnostic of my computer. He took his time and explained all that was wrong with my computer in terms that i could understand, gave me different solutions with possible outcomes, and was VERY reasonable with the quotes. The repair was done in a timely matter. Joel and his team were able to salvage all of the information that was stored on my computer which was a primary concern of mine since I never backup my information to an external hard drive. They literally saved my life!

Joel was awesome. I thought all computer repair places were the same but Joel proved that wrong. Before I took my mac to Mac Wizard I went to a place in south miami closer to my house. My mac was making a very loud noise. I knew that it had to be the fan but after 1 day of analyzing it they said it was the dvd player. After replacing the dvd player which took over a week he calls me and tells that the noise was still there and that the fan had to be replaced. We ordered the fan which after a week it never came in. I was so mad that i took the computer. Thank god they didnt charge me. Searching online for a repair place was very stressful. What made me call Mac Wizard was the reviews. There was only 1 bad review and all the rest were great. After speaking with Joel on the phone i knew that he was the one. What i liked about Joel from the start was that he opened the computer in front of me and told me exactly what needed to be done and how much it was going to cost. I took another mac that i thought was a goner because my son spilled tea on it. He opened that one in front of me too and showed me all the corrosion. He told me it didnt look good but he was a miracle worker and fixed that one too. I highly recoomend Mac Wizard.

In Miami and most cities getting a Mac looked at, at reasonable cost is not easy. On top of whatever wait time you may get. With Mac Wizard it’s guaranteed you’ll find reasonable cost and excellent service in time and business. I did lots of research and made sure this was the place that deserved my business and after my product was returned to me, I was completely satisfied. I will be going back for any future repairs and referring anyone that needs help fixing their gear;)

Joel was so helpful and courteous I can’t say enough good things about my experience! I brought in a Dell laptop that simply wouldn’t start and he immediately did some diagnostics to determine the cause. He told me up front that if the cost to repair was more than the value of the laptop, he would recommend not doing the work. What a breath of fresh, honest air in South Florida! It turned out to be a simple fix and he had it back to me on the day I requested. Fair price and honest work– can’t beat that. I’ll be making the drive South next time I need a computer fix and I will recommend Joel to all our friends!

Very happy with the service received from Joel at Mac Wizard. I came in to have a new hard drive installed on my MacBook Pro. Joel had the job finished on schedule (the next day) and stayed late to ensure that all programs were operational. The computer’s operating now as it did when new. Would recommend if you need computer work done.

My old iMac (2006) recently broke down, and it had been struggling for years. It was slow, out of memory, and updated OS just made it worse. This caused overheating, which fried my video card. Joel and Mac Wizard fixed my video card, and put in a new hard drive all for a very fair price (at least for me). Didn’t need the data off the old hard drive, but he could have retrieved it. The computer is lightning fast now, so glad we fixed it rather than junking.
Joel was very informative, and provided me a lot of advice about how to keep my revamped iMac going strong, as well as how to best care for my newer model.
I have a lot of sensitive information on my computer, and am very happy to have someone who is trustworthy when a computer problem arises.

If you are looking for a 100% honest computer data recovery business, then look no further! The receptionist Flo was honest and extremely helpful on the phone and when I got there, Joel took over and was amazing. Unlike other data recovery business’s in Miami that said it would take 2 – 5 days and $ 400-​$ 3,500 to recover the data on my MacBook Pro, I walked out 1 hour later, with ALL my data recovered and for $ 125.00!
You can bet that I will tell everybody about this place. Even if the bill were twice that, they were still the better deal and you knew they were honest!

Wow. Joel is legit.
To keep it short and simple: these guys are in it to deliver an amazing customer experience. Making a buck is second to doing right by the customer.
I saw it in how they treated me and saw it again when I went back and watched them handle another customer
**I WOULD SEND MY GRANDMOTHER TO THESE GUYS IN FULL CONFIDENCE THAT THEY WOULD TREAT HER RIGHT** — that’s saying a lot.
I had an accident with one of my devices that one repair shop quoted as practically a total loss (~1k to repair after charging me a mandatory $ 65 for a diagnostic) and that apple was charging $ 750 but could balloon if things didn’t go well. All this on a business machine that little more than 6 months old with minimal use and with a return time on the order of days to weeks.
On a whim while visiting family in Miami I looked up local shops to see if there was anyone that could actually do repairs on-​site. I called Joel up and he said to bring it on by — he’d take a look at no cost and give me his personal opinion.
I took it in, he took it apart, and he suggested a fix that would run me a fraction of the cost of what other people had quoted. He didn’t have the necessary part and I was leaving town before he’d be able to get the new part (over the holidays) so he even went as far as to suggest other places for me to go get it fixed!
I instead hopped on Amazon and had the product shipped in overnight and the very next day I went in, he swapped the parts out, and per his prediction everything worked fine. He literally saved me hundreds of dollars.
WHile there someone else had brought in a machine in fairly bad shape and Joel took great care to explain all of the different risks involved and suggested no less than three different options the person had. Most impressively, Joel was fairly straightforward in making it clear to them that for the cost of a repair they were better off selling the machine for parts and buying a new device.
That’s two situations in which he’s literally sent business away because it was the right thing for the customer to do. And it both cases we’ve decided to leverage him where we could because we trust him.
As long as they’re in business this is where I’ll be sending my machines to get repaired.

When is the last time you called someone at 5:00 p.m. and they stayed late to take care of you!

I was starting law school and decided to check out Mac Wizard so as to avoid buying a brand new laptop. They were amazing and brought my 2007 MacBook Pro back to life! It was cost effective and very quick and I haven’t had a single issue with my laptop since. They were awesome; super friendly and very professional.

I went to the Apple Store hoping to get some help with my Macbook that I purchased back in 2006. After a couple of minutes my laptop would just completely turn off and I never heard the fan start to kick in so I figured the fan was the issue. I was right. Unfortunately my laptop is considered «vintage» by Apple’s standards so I was out of luck until I went on Unilocal.Did a search to see if there was a repair shop nearby and based on the reviews, I gave this place a shot. I called them up, explained my problem and they were willing to help me out immediately.
Unfortunately the price wasn’t cheap but then again I probably would have paid a lot more elsewhere, especially over in Coral Gables which was where Apple was referring me to. Mac Wizard representative was very friendly and knew exactly what to do. He replaced my fan and even gave me recommendations on what should be done for long term use. He even installed free software on my Macbook to help monitor the temperature as well as being able to control the internal fan.
Great customer service. Very knowledgeable and I will definitely be going back to these guys whenever I have anymore issues. I highly recommend them if you have a Mac and they do guarantee satisfaction so if you have any problems with what they fixed within 90 days, just turn it back in for a quick fix without paying extra.

Fast and knowledgeable service. Even recommended a more cost effective fix than what I came in for at a third the price of Apple. Great to work with on DIY upgrades too. Now I have a 2013 Mac book Pro running in the shell of a 2009 Mac book for ¹⁄₃ the price of a new no name PC.

I am very happy with the folks at Mac Wizards. They have fix my old Imac several times over the many years I have had it. They really know their stuff and I don’t have to lug my Mac to the Apple store and stand in line for hours to feel lucky someone helps me. They always answer the phone and are dependable.

MacWizard was recommended to me by the Apple store here in Miami when they did not have the parts to replace the LCD on my old MacBook. The manager, Joel, kept the doors open ten minutes late for me to drop my computer off on my commute home from work. Within ten seconds of starting my computer up, Joel recognized the next problem that I had not even asked about yet — I needed a new hard drive. I’d have replaced it myself, but he had extremely reasonable rates on both drive, screen, and labour. Then he threw in a software upgrade at no additional cost. He maintained excellent communication with me throughout the process, letting me know when parts had arrived, and then scheduling pickup. All in all, a satisfying and helpful experience.

I need my laptop in order to do my work, and so when it completely died on me one day I was frantic, because without it and the programs installed on it I was SOL.
I’m sure my laptop and I were a real pain in the ass to these guys, who spent a couple weeks longer to fix my computer than the couple days the receptionist thought it would probably take when I dropped it off. My laptop would have one problem after another, but they were able to resuscitate it to a functional level, and despite all the extra headaches and some extra parts, they didn’t charge me for anything more than the original quoted price.
However, one thing that is actually sort of a pet peeve of mine in general, is that when I would call to check up on the status of the repair, they wouldn’t always call me back when they said they would, so I had to chase a little bit to get a detailed explanation of what was going on. But other then that, they were always really honest about everything and really went out of their way to help me out, so I highly recommend them to anyone that needs anything serviced on their computer.
