The steak and lobster is the only reason why it gets 1 star, and that’s because of the lobster!
Hard to mess up lobster, so clearly that’s a plus for the stupid low price, but the steak is abysmal. It doesn’t matter what temp you ask for because it’s a crap shoot. One day if will be spot on and the next you will be slicing into shoe leather.
The cigarette smoke is everywhere. It will linger on your clothes for days too…
All in all, the service is good and you get what you pay for. 2.5 stars

Ever heard of highway robbery? Here’s the answer to the age old question. This place has the rudest, most condescending, don’t give a hoot attitude whether you spend more there or not. Management plays into the crappy customer service by saying NO before they even let you finish Get you hotel confirmation including days, dates, time and what you are paying for as it is subject to their discretion as to if they feel like honoring it have them give it to you in writing or email. We booked hotel and bingo package gave credit card and got price Dec 10, 2015 for Jan 2 – 4,2016 stay. Got there and they denied the price and package even though they read the notes the reservation clerk put in to remind them of the package. Said there was no such thing as a 2015 package in 2016 — dahhh… so 3 buffets per day went to 3 snack bar vouchers for 10 dollars in the bingo hall and $ 270 dollar package went to $ 315. CAN YOU SAY RIPOFF? Then after driving 4 hours with no place to go… accepted the screwing and paid their new price and then couldn’t use the food vouchers in the Bingo snack hall because no one mentioned to the snack bar that they were going to do the change so had to beg for food because they wouldn’t honor their own valid current vouchers. STAY AWAY AT ALL COST… TOTALLY TOXIC FROM CIGARETTE SMOKE, IF YOU DON’T SPEAK SPANISH YOU WILL FEEL LIKE YOU ARE IN A THIRD WORLD COUNTRY ALL ON YOUR OWN. And I repeat, the employees do not want to be there, expect nothing from them – what they should be dong or anything above bad service. Same with management.

I went here for New Years Eve Bingo (mom’s idea). I wasn’t expecting much. For $ 55 you get a buffet dinner (served at 5pm… which was a little too early for me) Overall the bingo was well worth it. Must go jackpot of $ 25k and a few smaller jackpots and multiple prizes ranging from $ 250 of free pay to $ 1,250 cash and gift give aways. There were probably around 1500 people and over 25 games which means the odds are better than any lotto or slot machine. I wanted to end the new year right and booked a massage package before bingo. Again my hopes weren’t high but I was pleasantly surprised. The spa was small but adequate. The Massage therapist was awesome and spa packages are reasonably priced. I’ll definitely return for another massage.
As a non-​smoker the major downfall for me is the haze of cigarette smoke throughout the entire bingo hall and gaming area. Wish they had a better HEPA air filtration system. They do offer a smoke free gaming are for slots but don’t have that option for bingo.
The hotel room was smoke free which is always good. They are still in the process of renovating their hotel rooms. Although our room wasn’t renovated it was clean and overall well kept. (Flat screen TV would’ve been nice but we didn’t hang around the room anyway)
For those who complain about security… yes they can be strict but they’re there to protect the facility and guests. Yes they will search your bag. No they don’t all smile and say hello. I was leaving the hotel with my suitcase and saw a friend on a slot machine I ran over to say hi, happy new year and bye w/​my suitcase in hand because I didnt want to leave it unattended… just as quickly as I said hi I was asked to leave the gaming floor «bags not allowed» etc etc… okay I get it. (I don’t even know where security popped out from) Security is there to do a job I can’t fault them for that.

[TIP] I am giving it a 4 star as they give first time gamers a voucher for $ 30. You can only use it on one machine unless you cash out and use it on another. No catch. Really. We were able to win and cash out $ 40 after a couple of plays. Considering we came in with $ 0. That is a great return in less than 20 min.
Other than that, I am not a big fan of slot machines.

I was pleasantly surprised that this little wonderland existed in middle of no where Miami. Let’s call it– a cruise ship on land. Live music, carpeted hallways. dining and casino– what more can you ask for?
We ate in the fine dining restaurant. I personally ordered the bison steak, my boyfriend had the lobster tail and we shared a crab cake. The service was great– our waiter Gustavo tended to everything we needed. There was even a violinist/​pianist while we were dining.
As for the venue itself, lots of cig smoke. I’m aware that it’s a casino but they should invest in a better air purifying system.
The executive suite was great, very spacious and modern décor but make sure you request a non-​handicap room for a jacuzzi.

It’s been a while I came again this past Friday after work exhausted but dying for their crab legs. Sad to say the crab was very dry. Not 1 juicy leg. I was disappointed.
The valet like always is the worst. Slow as hell. Talking to each other. Only 2 workers? This place makes money, but you can’t have 4+ guys? They see people coming out but don’t ask for the ticket. YOU have to go to them. My man gave them $ 20. The guy saw a limo coming he quickly went to move my car forward, came back to give him the $ 15 but looked at us confused then looked around. He couldn’t remember who he owed change to although we didn’t move from where he left us standing.
Valet is very crappy. Not worth it to stand there waiting for douches expecting tip. They are friendly with people who give them tips. How is it that a guy comes nearly 5 minutes after me but gets his car 5 minutes before me?
I gambled, didn’t have luck but oh well. Those machines are devious! I will be returning every once in a while but never doing valet again. I prefer to be attacked by a raccoon than deal with valet.
BE CAREFUL THERE ARE RACCOONS AROUND, THEY EVEN HIDE IN THE TRASH IN THE PARKING LOT.

So we went to this resort this past Saturday and and stood one night the check in was an easy process the place was live and bumping with salsa music which played until 1 or 2 in the morning in the 2^nd floor, I read reviews of the music being loud so loud that it a can be heard in the rooms but one of my rooms was on the 3^rd floor and it was not bad at all, so they must’ve been an old couple lol. BACK TO THE ROOM subject we had a room on the 3^rd Floor which was a smoking room and a room on the 5 floor that was non smoking the non smoking was one of their newly renovated rooms which btw is a huge upgrade compared to the smoking room which was very updated but comfortable nonetheless. Side note the smoking room smelled like good Olé pot when we got in there which didn’t really bother me since I smoke but had my mom gotten that room she would have been upset to say the least. We ordered room service lady told me it would take 15 – 20 it took and hour and 10 but the guy was apologetic and polite.
Now to the topic of the casino part it was pretty good their nightclub loung was on an going to around 3 or 4 in the AM and beautiful women everywhere. My only problem with this resort is that it needs a facelift not to mention the front desk need to learn to smile customer service should be first and a smile goes a long way and the bathrooms in the casino area were disgusting as there was also people using coke in the men’s bathroom which upset my father and drinks took forever to get to us, and can’t say much about the food except that we ate at there café and food was mediocre to say the least even for food court food all in all ³⁄₅ wouldn’t stay there again.

Good:
1: Excellent chicken wings.
2: Parking close to gaming floor.
3: Nice staff.
4: $ 30 freeplay for new members.
5: Coupons for new members.
Improvement needed:
1: Roulette machines MIA.
2: Ventilation is too weak.

My boyfriend is addicted to playing poker. We stay overnight here very often. Every time we get a room something is broken just about every single time, usually multiple things are not working. Sometimes they don’t even send someone to look at the problem like they say they will.
UPDATE: After speaking to a very friendly manager my problem was taken care of. I feel satsified knowing I can contact this manager because I know that the problem will be resolved promptly.
My suggestion, if your problem isnt resolved the first few times you complain, ask for someone higher in management!

Complete BS… ok so I was FORCED to have to stay here as my company paid for the rooms here, we were at a small production spot near by, this is the closest hotel to the spot so this is where we stayed…
Let me start off by saying they were holding a gun show this weekend… at… a… casino…
So, I /​we arrived late Friday night early Saturday morning got our rooms and off we went, had a early call time we got what little sleep we could… Saturday morning it was really bright and sunny out with a little mist hanging low so it was a nice sight, my co worker and I stepped out we walked around the prize car out front then back into the casino while the others started coming down.
As we walk back in the security stops us and asks us if we need help or anything… we tell him «no, we’re just waiting for the rest of our crew.» He says ok… «I need to check your bag.» I say «for what» (never truely given a reason.) I look around it says nothing about subject to search, so I refuse and tell him «I am a guest here.»
He tells me «I am going to need to call my supervisor» and I say do whatever you need to do… so Sup comes, and comes at me hostile, and says the same thing as the kid security guard I tell him no still and by this time I have pulled out my room key and really show I’m a guest, he said it doesn’t matter and that I would be trespassing if I continued to refuse them to check my things… I replied how is this possible if I am a paid customer, I have broken ZERO posted rules… I DON’T have any weapons on me as I have just flown here from LA and there is no reason for me to be checked.
He replied well we don’t allow consealed weapon on these premises anyway… (now I’m getting mad) and show him the gun show flier that is hold CCW classes!!! How is this possible?! He corrects himself and says no CCW’s on the casino floor. I said great, i have no CW so we are good here! Then told him that I wanted to see the rules and where they are posted… to which he replied he doesn’t have to show me anything! Which still doesn’t sound right but oh well. He threatens to call the police on me which is where I started to think logically because i don’t know what kind of BS laws they have here, I let him check my bag he sifted through it, and did not check my bag completely or very well and let me go, as I walk away I give him a dirty look in disgust and he starts again telling me about trespassing and so on, I just say dude you’re still going on about this… and walk away.
My boss got a hold of this story (not sure how) so he brought me back later that day to talk to the manager about the issue… as we walk in the same kid that started this, was standing there were talking to the manager then the same Sup comes… so after we got the story to her I said those two guards are the one I had trouble with, now they are standing there… what??? Intimidating me??? She said she was sorry and there must have been a mix up in the orders…
(I didn’t expect anything but looking back we had 20 rooms there) the manager never offered us anything for our trouble… and I never saw those two again…
On top of all this everytime we left the room the room keys wouldn’t work so we had to go back down, it wasn’t just me it was damn near everyone in our group… my boss who had to say a day later checked out immediately and used his points at Sharaton… can’t blame him… well that is my story

Let me start by saying that a buffet for 11 bucks (drinks and gratuity included) cannot be beat. However, when you advertise churrasco at a buffet and then do not in fact have churrasco then that is just false advertising. I called ahead to make sure they had it and they said yes. So then I arrive with all the family and had to wait for 30 MINUTES. By this time everyone finished having about 3 plates each and had moved on to desert. Outraged, I called the manager. I explained to him what had happened and made sure to let him know that as a BUFFET they should have certain items on the back burner, especially if you know the churrasco is the featured dish. He came over and said he would let the head chef know. Now what the fuck do I care if he tells the head chef at this point. I left without eating what I came for.
They get one star because Unilocal won’t let me leave a review without one. So there you go. One star because they suck at service. They have false advertisement and the smell is just repulsive.
20 minutes later … I’m at the bar ordered drinks for my mom and my mother in law. This lady told us to sit down that she would bring our drinks. 15 minutes pass and then one of the guys from the bar made our drinks and took it to the wrong table. So they brought us the drinks after they took them to the other table. Unacceptable. I understand if liquor is accounted for but they should’ve made new drinks. Disgusting… I don’t know what they did with them.

We went, on a whim, for a one night stay: He plays poker, I play slots, a spa… — seemed like a good idea. At the time.
30 minutes after checking in: WOW — did it feel like a mistake. The room we were in, was clean. turquoise, but clean. And I will say all members of the staff we encountered were pleasant.
First of all — a lot of the reviews gripe about the smoke: It is a CASINO! It’s the last bastion where smokers can go — face it, you are on their turf, so if you don’t like smoke, it’s probably best to stay away from a casino. It’s like being a vegetarian and going to a BBQ pit, and griping about the meat smell. Get over it.
Now…the casino: YOWSA, is it BAD! Now, I can’t speak to the games being tight, because I actually had some luck and got a hand pay — however, it seemed like such a rare sight that the regulars literally asked me how I’d done it, how much I’d played… it was as if I’d seen Bigfoot or something. Their hand pay takes atrociously long to get dealt with. (45 minutes on mine.)
The selection of machines is AWFUL! I literally have never seen about 75% of their slot machines in ANY casino I’ve ever been to: And I have been to a LOT of casinos. (regularly go to Vegas, and frequented riverboat casinos in MO, and casinos in many other states as well.) And, strangely, half the time, the tickets that print out will not work, and you have to go to the cashier to get them cashed: eliminates the entire point of the convenience of tickets. I cannot stress how bad the selection of games are there — it probably ended up saving me a ton of money, because they weren’t remotely appealing. (Kinda looked like they were programmed for arcades in the 80’s. Just cheesy and bad, given what people are used to nowadays for slots to play.)
And you will NOT see video poker, craps, roulette, or a table game. It’s seriously just the saddest little casino you’ve ever seen.
The Buffet: If you enjoy frozen food thawed out and kept toasty under a heat lamp, macaroni and potato salads, and mystery meat… you’ve hit the jackpot. Otherwise, if you have any remote affection for your taste buds — you will avoid this at all costs. (We ate lunch and breakfast there — you could almost hear Gordon Ramsey weeping as you bit into the soggy AND powdery ‘scrambled eggs.’) The buffet, I cannot stress enough, is mind-​blowingly bad.
Sunday morning, we went to the spa: reasonably priced, and my fiancé had a deep tissue massage, I had a mani-​pedi. (which is, inexplicably, priced lower than either a mani OR a pedi.) It was OK, but the manicurist was a bit on the rough side — I did verbally ‘ouch’ a few time while she was wielding the snippers or pedi-​stick.
Overall — there are plenty of casino options available in south florida: Avoid this one at all costs!

DISGUSTING in every sense of the word! Besides this place full of cigarette smoke. What a scam when it comes to playing the slot machines. The whole place is dirty and smells, I came here not by choice but with a group of people and this place reminded me why I don’t come here.

I had a friend who was a poker addict and was always dragging me way out here. We would have the surf n turf special ($ 20 with salad, baked potato, 6 – 8 oz filet de boeuf and two Maine lobster tails) which in those days was something like $ 8.00 (one tail). I do not play cards or gamble on the silly machines so I went to the bar and got plastered on good drinks at low prices.
They seem to have cleaned the place up and added some more frills like the high rollers club, but the food is the same. It’s very meh, sorta OK, but not much better and the service, with the exception of the waiter, is poor.
The busboys are surly and they don’t have WiFi (likely for some stupid security reason), but they do have a nice chap playing a baby grand in the Hammock Café. The only problem is that he can’t be heard over the casino din which is undiminished despite the fact that the restaurant is raised up like a prizefighter’s ring; very odd!
Actually it’s sorta fun if you like all the hub hub. Once every 20 years is about right for me.
It is a good place to stop for a different atmosphere before entering the beautiful Tamiami Trail en route to Naples or Fort Misery.
My money would be on The Rod and Gun Club at Everglades City, but de gustibus non est disputandum, folks.

We came to this Native American pseudo-​oasis for mixed martial arts fights that were held in the dome which is adjacent to the casino. We were able to transverse the casino before the fights and let me tell you– if you like the modern resort feel of the Hard Rock, you won’t like this.
This place feels like Patrick Swayze with his beautiful hair and ninja skills are watching you as you walk in to ‘The Double Deuce’ from the 1989 cinematic masterpiece– ‘Road House’. It’s old, dated, very small, smokey, and disgusting inside. It feels like a dingy 80’s casino except without The awesomeness of the 80’s
The dome wasn’t any better– where the Hard Rock has levels of stadium seating allowing for great views of any act or event, this place zip tied your grandma’s extra thanksgiving chairs together. The actual event was great though. On another note security was a bunch of bloated steroid abusing private security guards with wannabe tough guy Wild Wild West revolvers on their hips; which was interesting because– a huge fight broke out, and it took EVERY single one of these stellar bafoon’s and a full ten minutes to actually break up the small fight.
All in all, great event, not a good venue. We waited in the hot sun outside for hours like we were following Moses through the desert, except there was no burning bush, and only crappy nachos.
As we waited outside, the police let Jabba The Hut’s brother who was wearing a pretty sweet crossing guard stripped polo, park his Rolls Royce up on the curb right next to the crowd, so that we could truly confirm that douchebags come in all shapes and sizes.
To add insult to injury, parked right outside as we waited, was a like of 12 Maybachs, Bentleys, and Rolls Royces. Which served to remind us how this dingy wigwam is quite the venerable cash cow.
If you want to hasten your divorce and get rid of your paycheck in a casino, at least do it in style and go to the Hard Rock or Vegas, where you won’t feel like you just did hard time in an Indian prison. If you don’t believe the doctor, go see for yourself.

We arrived at 3:30 am and it took 30 minutes to check in even though I had a confirmed reservation. The night auditor told me that If did not want to wait that I could get the hell out. The check in was in the middle of the casino which was filled with an intense cloud of cigarette and cigar smoke. We were tired and choking.
We reserved a king bed and got two doubles in a filthy room with a clogged toilet and a clogged shower. The smoke from the casino permeated the room. No towels no soap or shampoo. The service was terrible everywhere we went in the resort. My wife tried to get a pedicure in a completely empty spa and was told to come 4 hours later. There was no parking available for guest and you had to search long and hard to find one and the have to walk a long distance. Buyer beware this place will ruin your vacation and your lungs!

What happened to the $ 40 1 – 2 Limit buy-​in? It actually used to be $ 20, which was great. Now it’s $ 60! The machines are all Class 2, which suck. They’re also pretty pricey. I was lucky to find some machines that only require a 5 cent per line bet. I’d rather much go to any other casino in S. Florida. Unfortunately, this is the closest one to me and I’m not nuch of a gambler.
Anyway, the place is full of smokers. If you can deal with that, you’ll be alright.
And good luck getting a drink! Drinks are free when you have credits in the machine, but you have to wait for the cocktail waitress to return after she’s taken your order, which could take up to an hour (if she remembered your order, that is).
The hotel is decent. The wifi fee sucks, should be free.
The food is alright. I went to the cafeteria to the left of the main entrance and their food is good, but pricey. Luckily, they cut you a break on the desert. The red velvet cake is good and for $ 2.75 you get a nice slice.

This is a sad little casino located in the furthered, western corner of Miami. Even the roads are dark and dead.
On your birthday you are awarded a free meal up to $ 25 in value at this establishment. It is actually pretty difficult to spend over $ 25 in food here– for $ 10 you get a salad, churrasco, shrimp skewer, green beans, mashed of baked potato, and a dessert. Did I mention the portions are huge? They also have garden burgers and several other menu items in a similar price range.
A bottle of the house wine is $ 9.
Despite the exaggerated amount of food and unbelievably low pricing, I cannot award this place over one star. It is dirty, dingy, and filled with seniors and middle-​aged men and women in pajamas trying to make a buck at 1am.
The service in the restaurant was absolute garbage. We ordered a bottle of wine when we first sat down and never received it. We also had to continuously remind the to bring us our meals. In fact, we never even received the salad that was supposed to come with our dinner plate.
To top it all off, I was up until 4am rushing in and out of the bathroom. Bleh.

Convenient cause its local but that’s about it.
This casino and resort has been around for ever. The inside is dinge and outdated. The staff seems to be in a Zombie mode when their working. The Poker Room needs to be renovated like everything else here. Smells like Old Dirty Men Smoking some Shitty Cigars. Takes forever to get your drink and food orders. The food is mediocre at best. Parking is horrible with their poor lite parking lots. With all that space I’d knock it down and build something Vegas style to draw in the crowds with all the competion around.

This hotel stinks! and thats not just the lack of filters for all the smoke in the lobby.
The customer services is horrible, the rooms are outdated (don’t think they look anything like the ones online) and the parking is always packed cause there «gaming room» is open ²⁴⁄₇.
FYI for tourist, this is as far as you can go away from all the fun in south florida.
