MySpa Miami

MySpa is a good looking spa but has flaws. For the service rendered and prices paid you would think the experience would be breath taking. You would think as a first timer, the staff would go far and beyond so that your experience would be memorable, wonderful, engraved in your memory so that when it comes to recommending… one doesn’t hesitate. Well neither happened for me. You’ll ask for management and you’ll left on hold.
MySpa is like a nice looking car, it has all the nice lights and buttons but it runs poorly. MySpanice looking spot. It was clean but they waste too much plastic cups and I didn’t see recycle bins. Imo I give my first experience one star, perhaps on a different day or time a potential second experience would be different but as they say, first impressions do matter. I won’t be returning.

Kevin at MySpa has restored my faith in humanity. Tonight, after getting the MOST amazing raindrop massage from Rita (she put me to sleep, actually… it was amazing), I got dressed and walked out to go back to work in the building adjacent to the Intercontinental. Two hours later, as I was sitting at my desk, I realized I’d forgotten all of my jewelry and watch on the bench in the ladies locker room (all told, valued at about $ 1,500). I rushed back, and as it turns out, Kevin, the concierge at MySpa, had found it and turned it all into security at the Intercontinental. The watch has great sentimental value for me, and I would have been devastated to lose it. I am a MySpa member, and these people are just amazing, top to bottom, in their customer service, spa services, and ambiance. Highly, highly recommend. Thank you a million times over, thank you!!!

This place is absolute perfection! they completely blew me away… I got a massage by Susanna and a facial with Vanessa (la brasileña) and they were both soo sweet and provided excellent customer service I had an amazing time n really appreciated the champagne… the facility and services were well worth the cost… will make sure to come back on my next Miami visit! i love MySPa

The Spa is too expensive for the services provided. Though the spa may look professional the techs are certainly not. I was rushed through my mani & pedi after paying over 70 dollars for my services. I felt like it was more of a polish change not only was everything rushed the Technician also made an error on my eyebrows (she made one shorter than the other). All because she had an appointment scheduled right after me! Who does that? I felt like there was no value toward me as the costumer. I felt like they did a cheap job? And since the Tip is included they can care less what happens to the costumer. Also the Gym is Completely over priced for just standard equipment which half of the machines do not properly work. I cant believe people actually pay 70 dollars Month ! All in a nut shell I believe the Spa should treat the costumers better and not rush through their services.

My boss gave me a Spa Finder gift card as a gift. It had been a while since I treated myself to a Spa treatment so I decided to try out MySpa located in the Intercontinental Hotel. I made reservations over the phone. The young man, Andres, who took my reservation was very pleasant to speak with. I chose to go to MySpa only because it was close to my office. When I arrived, Andres was the person who greeted me and checked me in for my Mini Manicure and Deluxe Pedicure. He said it would only be a few minutes and then offered me a beverage while I waited; a choice of water, tea, or champagne. Champagne Thank you! After 5 minutes, nail technician Gabriela came to greet me. Gabriela also was very pleasant, professional and easy to speak with. Gabriela took her time and paid great attention to detail when working on my hands and feet. The ambiance was inviting and relaxing. The smell of soft lavender and essential oil scents had me feeling at ease. I have to say that it’s been a long time since I’ve been to a Spa where the sanitation standards exceeded my expectations and where the staff was so warm, pleasant, and welcoming. Kudos to MySpa at the Intercontinental for a job well done. I will be back for more relaxation and champagne!

Really nice spa area. I haven’t gotten any spa services but I enjoy using the sauna/​steam room. For a hotel spa it’s one of the nicer ones I’ve used and you don’t need to have a spa service to use the facilities.

Room for improvement:
They should consider playing some light spa music in some areas. Maybe some aromatherapy in the steam room.
Steam room was moderately hot but not hot enough.
There is a lot of waste with the plastic cups but no recycling bins.
Wasn’t a fan of the smell of the body wash. Pear smell maybe?
Overall it’s a very nice amenity for hotel guests.

I went to celebrate my friend’s birthday this week at MySpa and the experience was exceptional! We started the day with a glass of champagne and lunch in the relaxation room. Then I had a fabulous facial with Vanessa who was fantastic and my friend an incredible massage with Franklin. Kudos to a great staff and wonderful spa!

I just had an exceptional massage by Juan. One of the best I’ve ever had. I wish I could separate the massage therapist from the spa, because I would give him 5 stars and the spa 4 stars. I am typically a good tipper, and I don’t like when a business automatically adds a 20% gratuity. I would have given him that, but it should be my choice.
Juan’s hands are amazing.

I was recently invited to try a complimentary 50 minute gentleman’s facial and also enjoy the relaxing area, sauna and poll areas.
My afternoon began with a glass of champagne and an introduction to my skincare specialist. She took me on a tour of the facilities and explained each areas uses and importance. Once we were finished with the tour she led me to the men’s locker room and told me when I was ready to meet her in the relaxing room.
The locker room was classy and quiet and offered every amenity needed from razors to mouthwash to shampoo & conditioner. I hung up my things and dawned the robe I went to enjoy the relaxing room. I loved my afternoon at MySpa! I went alone for a relaxing afternoon, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Upon entering, I was greeted by Lisa, Daniela, and Corey, who were very friendly and helpful and gave me a brief orientation of all they have to offer. The lobby space and locker room are extremely clean, relaxing, the scents they have are pleasant but not overwhelming, and the same goes for the music.
The views of Biscayne Bay are lovely and you can wander the garden area, sit and have a glass of champagne (the bar staff is also very friendly), and just chill out by the pool. Pro tip: get there early to catch the sun, since the downtown skyscrapers provide free sunscreen.
I tried a few areas of the spa. The sauna is nice but my favorite part is the steam room. Definitely a great place to sweat it out and take a cold shower after.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my afternoon at MySpa! Can’t wait to go back.

Awesome service, Loved the Manicure by Vanessa, the sweetest Brazilian I have ever met. Recommend her 100%. The place is extremely clean and pleasant, easy to get to and fast service. She’s very gentle and detailed and even practiced speaking some of my Portuguese with her. just have to say Obrigado! :-)

Vanessa was a great manicurist. My nail polish has lasted for two weeks with only a few chip aways and since that my manicure my nails have felt clean and well nourished. Getting an appointment was easy, however, there were some downsides to my experience. I was shuffled between a waiting room and the manicure room twice so I assume there were some logistical issues. The price could be lower, but considering my end result it was fine.

Bought a groupon deal for my mom for Mother’s Day that included a massage, facial, and mani pedi with a glass of champagne. As soon as my mom walked in they asked her for her credit card information when she asked why they told her it was just for reference. The services she received were all given by the same person and she was only offered a cup of water. The quality of the services were ok but once she was done they charged her 75 dollars stating that this was part of the 20% hotel fees of the full price that was not covered by the groupon, aside from the tip my mom had already given to the lady that performed the services. Had I known she would be asked almost half the amount I had paid for the groupon I would not have purchased this for her especially for the service she received which she could have gotten someplace else for half the price which ended up being over $ 250. I don’t usually write reviews but felt the need to for this spa that made something that was supposed to be a nice experience for my mom to enjoy into the opposite.

the most well-​spent $ 15 if you’re staying at the intercontinental miami.
The $ 15 gets you unlimited day access to the steam, sauna, and rain shower room :) after all that relaxation you have access to the rain showers, you’ll never want to take a shower in your room ever again!
my favorite room was the steam room, i can stay in there forever and enjoy the humidity and heat.
i loved the cold towels (i believe they were lemongrass scented?), make sure you take one into the steam/​sauna rooms so that you can drop your temp a little. other than that, clean facility (showers, lockers, restrooms). great amenities, enough for you to get completely ready before stepping out of the spa.

Amazing massage from Suzanna! I like to think of myself as quite experienced with massage, as I get a massage every week or two. Unfortunately, I have not been able to find anyone that 100% meets my needs… until now. Suzanna is extremely talented! You will not be disappointed. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because my prior massages experiences were not always stellar.

My Spa Day at MySpa: I took advantage of a Miami Spa Week offer and booked a massage and facial. I had been here for their opening and remembered how beautiful it was then. The spa is still clean, pristine, and calming with soft music and fountains.
5 stars is not enough to describe my wonderful experience with Edwitch. I started off in the relaxation room to wait for my masseuse. Then Edwitch came in and introduced herself. She first had me describe what I like in both massages and facials. Then the massage began with the perfect amount of pressure. I instantly began to relax. She focused on the areas I requested. I was very close to blissfully dozing. The transition to facial was seamless! I was able to remain in my relaxed state while she set up everything for the facial. She applied cleansing masks, steams, and creams as well as extractions and SPF application. All the while inquiring if the music, temperature, etc was to my liking. Also did I mention that the rooms are cool and the beds are comfortably heated?
In addition all of the spa amenities are available for use including sauna, steam, gym, and pool.
What could have been improved was the supplies in the locker room. There wasn’t much of anything (my gym has much more: face lotion, body lotion, deodorant, q tips, etc): Here there was only 1 bottle of body lotion which was LOCKED DOWN onto the counter top. I nearly hit another spa client with my boob while reaching for body lotion as she was seated in a chair blowdrying her hair right near the lotion bottle that could not be moved)
Valet parking is free for 4 hours with validation.

MySpa at the Intercontinental Hotel in Miami provides one of the most zen and relaxing spa experiences around. The spa facility has been planned out in the most thoughtful manner to ensure tranquility, relaxation and peacefulness. The locker room and bathroom are extremely neat and modern. Light all around is dim but warm. There is a nice lounge room with cascading water that is absolutely soothing. The massage rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated, with warmed beds whose height can be adjusted for the therapist. I had a full body Swedish Massage and facial by Edwitch. She was amazing. I fell asleep! I also had a manicure and pedicure by a very professional specialist that paid attention to the most subtle detail.
I highly recommend this place. Seldom do I feel so motivated to make recommendations. But in this case, it is well-​deserved.

I went in for another massage since I had purchased two CoupTessa deals. I was able to book the same day. Got there about 30 minutes early. The attendant at the front desk said my masseuse was ready for me anytime before my scheduled appointment time, which was ready a nice gesture. I asked for some red wine and it was immediately brought to me. I waited in the relaxation room until I was asked to go to my therapy room. She came five minutes ahead of my scheduled time. She asked me if I had any injuries she should know about and if there were any questions I wanted to ask her before my treatment started. Very attentive.
Massage was good. Didn’t get the name of the masseuse, but she was good. I prefer Liz though. She has the most amazing hands and applies the perfect amount of pressure I like.
Check out process was a breeze. My credit card was on file so I just told them how much tip to add to the card and it was done. I was in and out with no wait time.
Very different experience from my last one. In regards to the last review I left, Catherine Keeble, the spa director, got a hold of me and apologized for my experience. She asked that I come back and assured I would receive a totally different experience. I can’t wait to go back because overall, I’m very happy with MySpa. It’s one of the two spas I visit most often.

Let me start off by saying that this spa would have gotten a 4 star rating had it not been for the essential elements of a «spa» that were missing. The steam room was not working and when my self and several (5)other ladies wanting to use the steam told the spa assistant she told us to tell the front desk. Then the front desk told us that the steam should be coming on in 10 to 15 minutes. Needless to say, it never came on.
I went on Saturday to enjoy the pool and poolside services, as well the steam room and sauna. The pool was perfect!!! There were enough towels and they kept them fully stocked to you never had to ask for one.
I was able to enjoy the dry heat sauna, which was lovely. And they have this shower called the Drench. It is like taking a shower in a natural water fall. I loved it.
I will be back again, hopefully they will have fixed the steam by then.

Went here for Spa Week, $ 50 for a 95 minute mani/​pedi. I thought, «Wow that sounds awesome!». It wasn’t.
The Intercontinental lobby is beautiful, the spa was pretty. My mani/​pedi was OK, and it only lasted an hour, not the 95 minutes I was supposed to get.
It’s valet parking only there, and you’d think that when we checked out, the spa’s front desk girl could have told us that if we validated our ticket, parking would be free. Nope, we got all the way outside to pick up the car, and the valet gentleman told us that, so we marched all the way back up to the spa in order to save the $ 9.
Wouldn’t come back, not even for SpaWeek or SpaMonth.
