Pollo Tropical

Don’t order the chicken breast meal. I have ordered it multiple times and each time they skimp on the chicken breast. The menu says you get 2 chicken breast but here you only get one and maybe a quarter of a breast. At first I thought maybe pollo tropical changed the meal but when I order from other locations I get 2. I know it seems like a minor issue but they charge the same price for less food. That’s not right.

This WAS my go to place. Good chicken at a fair price. Not anymore. The place has a serious ROACH problem. They were gigantic and crawling up the wall near the cashier. I had just placed my order and I heard the cashier scream. Someone handed over a pesticide and a customer sprayed and crushed it with his shoe. I was stunned. People were still in line inside waiting to order. At that point I went back up to cashier and asked for a refund. I told them I didn’t want my food because of the roach incident. The refunded it but there was no apology. Terrible customer service. You can see employee handling chicken on the grill with their bare hands. STAY CLEAR OF THIS PLACE. I would give them a star minus if I could.

Foods good because: Pollo Tropical. But service is subpar. Expect your order to be wrong, if it’s right you are lucky — go to the nearest quick stop and buy a lotto ticket. Also, if you dare to ask for any sauce/​toppings be prepared for the stare of death. I’m pretty sure they teach it in new hire training. Still worth it, because POLLO TROPICAL.

Brought my Mom for dinner. Ordered her meal and didn’t expect it would take 25 mins to get the actual meal. Extremely SLOW service, not enough cooked chicken, and incompetent staff. I Do not suggest you come as it’s not a fully functional location.

Terrible, terrible, and again, terrible. This Pollo Tropical could’ve killed me! Not only do they always get the order wrong, but I found a piece of metal in my food! How did they fix this? The manager offered to replace my meal… No way was I settling for that. Afterwards, getting a hold of corporate is extremely annoying, and they are very unprofessional. They sent me $ 100 in coupons to shut me up I guess. Then, their insurance was supposed to call me and they never reached out to me. Worst service I have ever received in my life. Oh, and don’t tell them they got the order wrong because the employees will fight you about it!

Thos. placed is managed soooo poorly… your need to get here before 6pm. They never have enough chicken cooked. They should really pay attention to the their trends and cook as they trend. Always a 20 min wait or more. Tonight I waited 25 mins for a family meal to go. I asked cashier before order what the wait was they said they had enough.

Yet another place where I would give 3.5 stars. There is not much to say about fast food establishments that has not already been said. This place is open til Midnight (on the inside too not just the drive-​thru). The service was fast and friendly. The food was fresh, yes, at 11:20pm they were still grilling chicken! I have zero complaints about this location except for the tacky cruise ship version of «La Bamba» that was playing when my hubs and I arrived.
By the way, the cheese empanadas are in a more savory corn flour dough like the kind they use in Colombian Empanadas (kind of what they looks like). Pretty good!

I love Pollo Tropical’s food but this location is managed very poorly. I expect for there to be a crowd during lunch… but waiting more than 10 minutes at a fast food restaurant is not acceptable. Knowing when rush is, and staffing accordingly, is essential to keep customers happy.

I have made it a habit of checking every single item before Driving off since they tend to either miss or add something, always.
Last week, they gave me a complete wrong order, I drove away as I was in a hurry, once I had set the table, I noticed that it was not my food. Had to drive back and return it, didn’t as much as receive an «our bad» response. Nothing. The woman just packed up what should have been my meal to begin with, and handed it over with a tad of attitude.
Positive note: the desserts there are to die for! Specially the tres leches.

Filthy, filthy, filthy! They should clean the serving and sauce area a little more often!

Pollo Tropical is always good went through drive thru, quick and easy ordered Chicken Thigh, Cornbread and Waffle Fries it’s great and staff is friendly

This spot was packed midday on Saturday! There were 10 cars in the drive through and at least 15 people waiting for their orders, but fortunately they got everyone out quick and efficiently. The food came out hot, well cooked and had a ton of flavor. Couldn’t ask for anything better with fast food. And, the location was clean.

Where’s the pork in my tropichop? All rice and bean and Kevin P. is correct, check before you drive off!

If anyone knows me, they know about my addiction to tropi chops. This location always gives extra chicken on them!
The best part about this location? They have TWO buckets of the fabulous cilantro garlic sauce on the condiments table inside. So no waiting for the other person to finish up so you can pour yourself some sauce.

Ok, people, there gotta be a limit to this review site. READ THE NAME!!! For those who is not familiar with Spanish/​Hispanic languages, Pollo is not Polo, is «chicken» in Spanish.
I’ve had tried many foods around the entire East cost, and I voted 1 star. This is not soul food, it’s just BAD FOOD! Don’t even bother go and waste your money. McD is better then is! Oh, ohhh, McD gets 2 stars from my by the way.

I’ve been here on several occasioned and this particular location is well kept, clean and spacey. Chicken is always good. They have wraps, waffle fries and ribs in addition to chicken. Service is glad

If you use the drive-​through, they will forget something in your order. Guaranteed.
I’ve been going here for years, and have not gotten a wide assortment of items. I don’t like to hold up the line behind me, but if you see me sitting at the window checking out my food, give me a sec. I don’t think I’ve actually eaten inside, but I’ve been inside to pick up something that wasn’t given to me quite a few times.
These are the most popular items which are not given to you when you specifically order them:
–Dressing for your salad
–Extra dressing for your salad
–Bar-​b-​que sauce
–Garlic Cilantro sauce (it’s soo good)
–Silverware
–Napkins
–Salsa
–Some option on your salad (if you ordered chicken it’s not there, and if you didn’t order chicken, it’s there)
Since this has been happening for years, I don’t blame the employees. They hustle inside, and work hard. I assume it’s management, but when i go back for what’s missing, they are nice too.
Hey, have I mentioned the food? For fast food, this is good stuff. I don’t eat chicken anymore, but they make it excellent, on an open grill. The beans and rice, yucca, sweet plantains, and tropi-​chop combinations are all good. This is fast food that doesn’t make you feel like you are taking weeks off your life.
They removed the shrimp skewers from the menu which is horrible. This was very good stuff. The churrasco steak used to be good too, but they may have taken that off the menu too. If you haven’t been to a Pollo Tropical, it’s worth going to. This is some of the best drive through food you find… as long as you get your order right.

This place is freaking awesome!!! Why can’t this be in Texas!!!

You may be wondering why I’m reviewing a local, fast-​food chain. Well, when sick and in dire need of chicken soup, having a Pollo Tropical within driving distance to where you are can save your day.
I drove through this location, ordered 3 large soups, and set off. First thing you should know they’re piping hot. They usually have two soups each day. I believe chicken is the constant and the other changes.
Definitely not the healthiest, best choice but the fastest chicken soup for the soul.
