This place is legit! I was in Miami for a conference and had to basically stay at a Sheraton close to the airport, no fun… I wanted to try and get my grub on at a decent cuban place, and these guys hooked it up! Great food, delicious café cubano, and I felt like the staff was appreciative(note this is a «no fluff» place-they’ll get to you when they get to you, and you’re not going to be fawned over but they’ll take care of what you need). Yum!

It was fine that the waitress spoke little English. But her attitude made me felt that i owed her $ 10 million, which was NOTOKAY. Plus, the waitress/restaurant directly charged me 20% tips without leaving me a CHOICE. This is unbearable and unforgivable!

Came here for dinner with my boyfriend since we are in miami going on a cruise the next day. The service was very good. The girls here are all very nice. The food was great. The café con leche was perfect! Prices are very cheap, dont let the outside looks fool you, its a great place to eat at.

Pretty good food for a great price! Can’t beat it. And it’s authentic as your going to get in Miami.

They say«hole in the wall» places are the best, no exception here. Large portions, and good prices. A bit of a language barrier, but the servers try and still offer great service.

You can’t beat a crunchy fried green plantains, or tostones, hot out of the fryer. I hear the red beans are really good, unfortunately they were out by the time I got there;however, the black beans and rice were delicious. I had the chicken steak which was grilled to perfection and was aided by a Presidente. I was attended to by the three servers who were friendly.

I came to Rincon Criollo based on Unilocal reviews and I was not disappointed. I had the ¼ chicken asado with white rice, black beans and fried sweet plantains. $ 6.85 was a good price. Everything was good. The chicken may have been a little dry. Tried the Tres Leches for dessert and it was yummy too. I would definitely come again and try other dishes.

First visit for early dinner. Will eat and drink here again. Recommended. Great atmosphere on the patio. Thursday night on the patio features Cuban/Latin DJ music and a popular dancer. Waitresses sometimes join in dancing on the tables. Locals are friendly. Dinner includes choice of three sides. Had the smoked pork loin. Solid choice. Great flavor. Like my pork medium rare, so a little dry for my taste. Would order again. Beans and sweet plantains were good. Don’t eat another lousy hotel meal. Try Rincon Criollo.

Delicious cheap food with big portions. If you’ve got an airport layover, catch the Sheraton shuttle bus and walk through the rail station to get here.

This place packs a punch with service. I had several waitreses check on us several times with very friendly smiles. The food came out fast but tasted good and fresh. I just came for«breakfast» which was steak, french fries and eggs over-easy. My husband was excited about the lil tiny bits of crispy tostones,(fried plantains), that made their way into the plate by mistake. It was yummy, inexpensive and very, very friendly.

Good place to grab breakfast or brunch. Pros: — prices are great! We had a ham and egg omelette with fries, 2 coffees, 2 empanadas for $ 8.50 — the food tasted good, slightly greasy — cute outside patio area Cons: — service is nonexistent, we called for the waitress several times and she basically ignored us — the bathrooms are not very clean — they charge for tea and coffee refills $ 1 each time

This is the place. A great local hangout with authentic Cuban food and cheap, cold beer. I’ve been here twice in 3 days. Had the Skirt steak and a Cuban Sandwich with fries. Service was great both times. As others have said, English may not be spoken, just point and smile. There is indoor seating, but for the full effect, sit outside. The noise of jets flying over combined sets a great atmosphere for this industrial park watering hole. The food gets 4 stars. I give it 5 stars because the beer is $ 2.50 a bottle. Good food, cold beer, and a check that won’t break the bank! I may go back tomorrow for breakfast.

Authentic cuban food in Miami. Nuff said. We found this place on Unilocal while looking for food options near the Airport Sheraton Hotel. Skirt steak was great, rice & beans were great, & plantains were great. Sat outside and enjoyed the Miami breeze while great music played in the background. This is not a fancy place… It’s literally around the corner from the airport, but it’s authentic cuban food. Excellent prices!!!

Excellent for what it is including the best Cuban coffee in the area and authentic Cuban cuisine. You get a huge bang for your buck here. Anywhere else in Miami you could easily pay four times as much. I have been coming to this hidden gem for over 5 years and it has always been an enjoyable spot. I make it a point to stop here when I’m at Miami airport. A little secret and epic tip; if you have a layover at the MIA airport, take the airport train, for FREE, to the rental car center and then this restaurant is only a short walk, less than 5 minutes. Then return to the airport the same way you came. It’s definitely worth the adventure and you won’t be disappointed.

I’m frighteningly ungifted when it comes to attempting to speak Spanish(I’m sure it might have helped if I’d ever taken a class at some point in my life), but this is a great little place to visit if you want a quick meal before you fly out(or after you’ve just landed!). It’s located right by the Miami InternationL Airport, and the prices are super inexpensive, which is always a plus. It’s kinda like a walkup bar/cafeteria that’s frequently mainly by locals and taxi drivers waiting to pick up passengers. I ordered 3 tamales, tostones and a Cuban pastry. Everything was super tasty, and it kept me full through my day of travels, which was my ultimate goal when I made a stop there!(I didn’t want to have to buy overpriced airport food.) Service was quick and friendly. If I were a coffee drinker, I’d definitely try the drinks too! They seemed rather popular. :]

Read my previous review for a better scoop! I went in January after flying in for a cruise and also last week for another cruise. This was just a couple minute ride from the airport. $ 5 strikes again! So awesome. I had a loaded omelet, soda and that yummy buttered and salted bread. You really can’t beat it. When the local drivers eat here, you know it’s a decent spot. Same waitress as before. Very sweet. Awesome service. We will be back.

Taxi cab driver recommended, Kimberly V approved. Thanks to Unilocal for providing me with the secret low down! Located in a semi sketch area near Miami International Airport, this tiny cafeteria provided cheap, satisfying and filling sustenance after a grueling flight filled with cancellations, turbulence and non-reclining seats right next to the bathroom(Yes, on vacation I like to live it up). The ladies filled up on steak, eggs and café con leche while my sister and I decided to go the Cuban route with a quarter leg of pollo asado served with white rice, black beans and fried plantains. While we were waiting for our food, three big baskets filled with hot buttered bread came out which was just what we needed to get our bikini bods in order. My chicken was fall apart tender with a crispy skin. I would have liked the seasoning to have a little more of a Latin kick but otherwise homey and delicious. The total damage to my wallet? Less than $ 6! I also got a Mamey milkshake which tasted like a creamy pumpkin. Things to note: — They have an outdoor seating area/walk up bar as well as an inside area — They accept credit cards, including American Express — Spanglish speakers will have an easier time ordering here — They play an awesome nineties R&B mix here which will take you straight back to the summer of ninth grade!
