I had the pleasure to work with Rodrigo in two events for my wedding. He was responsive with my concerns about scheduling, was on time for both events and professional. My fiancée had an innovative idea he needed help from Rodrigo to make it happen, and he was very flexible and accommodating to his request. The whole family loved him! He was funny and a pleasure to work with! I know there are many great photographers out there, but apart from being excellent, Rodrigo’s photography style is unique. He’s able to make an ordinary scene stand out with the colors, movement and lightening, and makes a formal portrait look impressive and poised. In addition, what I especially loved the most, was his incredible ability to capture the emotion of the moment. When I look at the pictures now I can see all the emotions and the expressions captured that takes us to that moment. Very powerful! And lastly, he returned the pictures to us in less than 2 weeks! Very surprising, as I know stories of photographers that take forever to return them! So… needless to say, we were SUPER happy with his work! Totally recommend him!

His keen eye will easily capture every single moment of your event in ways you could’ve never imagined. When my husband and I initially got engaged and decided to have an actual wedding, we both agreed that the most important part of our wedding for us would be the pictures. Being as picky as I am, I knew that I would have to do my research and not just pick any photographer off of a list. Throughout the course of a month, I met an overwhelming amount of photographers by e-​mail, phone, and in person. Rodrigo was the last photographer that I met with and I can honestly say that he won our hearts from the first day we met. He and his team are absolutely amazing to work with. I just recently got my wedding pictures back and my only problem is that I love all 750 pictures that he took. He worked day and night to get me my pictures back as soon as possible because he knew that I was dying to see them (I got married less than a month ago).

Rodrigo Varela is one of Miami’s best photographers! Aside from his professional dedication to his clients, he gets to know us personally. With that said he makes certain to capture our most important moments on camera. I had the pleasure of having Rodrigo photograph my bridal shower, wedding, and rock the dress session, and also hired his companies amazing Photo Booth. Our photos are jaw dropping, so much so we won several contest. Our photos have been featured on several wedding blogs and websites. All of my photos have received the upmost compliments for example «wow this is straight out of a magazine». My husband, family and myself could not be HAPPIER with our all our photos. I love Rodrigo’s style and appreciate his talent, but overall I LOVE and appreciate his professionalism, honesty, and knowledge of photographing. Not all subjects (clients) are photogenic its reality, but Rodrigo he can make anyone look glamours, especially on your most special day. Rodrigo will undoubtedly photograph my future events!

I had hired Rodrigo on the premise of my friends wedding photos. We opted for a trash the dress session instead of engagement photos. That being said, after seeing our wedding photos, I cancelled everything else and asked for a refund. The photos were over exposed! There was not a picture just me and my parents nor one of me and my brother. And there was only ONE picture of my parents together! In the meanwhile, there was an abundance of photos of my in-​laws and my husband with his family (they paid for the photography).
I had a hair band on my wrist during my bridal portraits which i didn’t notice and his manager told me it was my fault that I had it on my wrist. I’m sorry, but isn’t it the photographers job to notice these things!
I cried when I saw the photos and not out of joy. Out of about 1,000 I would say that maybe 10 were decent for an album. Which again, we canceled the order.
I ended up hiring another photographer to retake our wedding pictures.
I will never get this day back and the photos were a disaster.

Though I’ve never been particularly camera shy (shooting with Terribly Girly is one of my favorite hobbies), I was singing a different tune back in November of 2009 when the realization hit that my wedding photos would be around for possibly longer than I would. My husband and I opted to do without a videographer, so pictures are all we have to remember our special (and quite expensive) day. Enter Rodrigo Varela — a man who’s captured the likes of Jay-​Z on film and regularly shoots events like the Latin Grammy Awards, but had no problem making my husband and I feel like celebrities with images to rival those in any upscale wedding mag.
Recently, I had the pleasure of spending another day with Rodrigo, this time behind the scenes of my sister’s «quince» photo shoot. Watching him work is inspiring as he shudders at the mundane and makes it a personal goal to never duplicate any shot he’s previously produced — a challenge even for this experienced photographer considering the Biltmore is a common choice for brides and quinceañeras alike. I only saw a few images during the shoot, but the sneak peak he afforded me assures me he’s triumphed yet again.
I couldn’t be happier and would recommend him to any bride or quinceanera without hesitation. The end result was absolutely beyond compare.
